Abstract

Traffic accidents are unexpected and undesirable incidents that occur on the highway, resulting in damage and casualties. Traffic accidents occur due to several contributing factors, including driver behavior, road conditions, technical errors in vehicles, and environmental conditions. Based on several studies, motorcycles are the vehicles most frequently involved in traffic accidents. Jember is one of the districts in East Java with a high number of motorcycle accidents. Based on data from 2017 to 2019, motorcycle traffic accidents in Jember reached 3,543 cases. Most of motorcycle riders involved in accidents in Jember are young riders. Young riders are considered to lack proper driving attitudes. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between driving behavior and accidents in Jember District among young motorcycle riders using structural equation modeling (SEM). The primary data used were survey results with respondents consisting of motorcycle riders aged up to 24 years old residing in Jember District. There is also supporting data in the form of accident data that occurred in Jember District from 2018 to 2022. Using that method, the results showed that driving behavior variables significantly influencing traffic accidents are traffic violations and stunts. The traffic violations variable has an influence of 0.840. Meanwhile, the stunts variable has an influence of 0.267.

Abstract

Surabaya City has several public transportation such as Feeder Wira Wiri and Suroboyo Bus managed by Surabaya City Government, Bus Trans Semanggi managed by the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, and Bus Trans Jatim managed by East Java Provincial Government. Based on observations in Purabaya-Rajawali routes, these public transportation services have yet to achieve maximum integration between modes, hence requiring analysis to improve the integration and connectivity of these public transportation systems. This analysis assesses customer satisfaction regarding the integration and connectivity of Feeder Wira Wiri, Suroboyo Bus, Trans Semanggi Bus, and Trans Jatim Bus along the Purabaya-Rajawali routes in Surabaya City. The methods used Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) to calculate user level of user satisfaction and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) used by integrating Importance-Perfomance Analysis (IPA) and Kano model. From the analysis results, the satisfaction level indicates a value of 68.01% (satisfied). So, it is needed to improve existing attribute integration. From this analysis, 11 technical responses were obtained to improve integration attributes. The final result of this research indicates that 11 improvements of integration attributes can be implemented in the integration system between services of Feeder Wira Wiri, Suroboyo Bus, Trans Semanggi Bus, and Trans Jatim Bus in Surabaya City Purabaya-Rajawali routes.

Abstract

Mikrotrans is a means of transit that supports Transjakarta buses and serves residential neighbourhoods. However, travellers have lodged several concerns about the mikrotrans service's facilities and infrastructure. These concerns include drivers failing to stop at bus stops, drivers driving at excessive speeds, facility damage, inconvenient passenger wait periods, and a lack of bus arrival information. Aside from that, the bus stop lacks operational information, the bus stop pole is damaged, and the distance between bus stops varies. Using the customer satisfaction index approach and IPA-Kano integration, this study examines the operational performance of the Jak Lingko mikrotrans in terms of user satisfaction. The research findings revealed a 71,61% user satisfaction index in the satisfied group. However, all assessment attributes have negative gap values, resulting in a satisfaction score that fails to match user expectations. Based on the IPA-Kano integration analysis, three fatal category qualities were identified as high priority for service improvement. The fatal category attribute is that the driver drives the vehicle if the passenger is seated and/or both of the passenger's feet have touched the ground (A7), the vehicle's stopping time is adjusted to coincide with the completion of the passenger boarding and alighting process (A14), and there is signage, route information boards, the bus name, and the bus stop number (A22).

Abstract

The East Java Provincial Government through the Public Works Department of Highways has a road improvement and maintenance work program to maintain road stability. However, in its implementation, it is often faced with less-than-ideal conditions, such as natural disasters, resulting in a reduced budget for the work program. Therefore, an alternative method for maintaining asphalt pavement is needed which has advantages in terms of cost efficiency, but does not reduce quality and also does not require a more complicated process compared to carrying out road maintenance work which was usually carried out in previous years, (by using Hotmix). In this research, fast burda was used as an alternative to Hotmix for asphalt road maintenance, namely making fast burda from 2 x 3 cm coarse aggregate, 1 x 2 cm aggregate, 1 x 1 cm aggregate, and 60/70 penetration asphalt. The method used in the research is to compare road maintenance work using fast burda and Hotmix. The analysis carried out in this research is a comparison of the duration of work time, service life and cost analysis between work using fast burda and using Hotmix. The results of this research show that the duration of work with a 1 m2 sample for asphalt road patching using hot mix is the same as road patching using fast burda. The service life of road patches using Hotmix is longer than road patching using fast burda, namely fast burda starts to experience damage in the 5th month, while Hotmix starts to experience damage in the 6th month. Meanwhile, in terms of costs, work using fast burda is cheaper compared to work using Hotmix, fast burda requires IDR303.355 per square meter, while Hotmix requires IDR318.84 per square meter. So the difference in implementation costs per square meter is IDR15.490. Burda can quickly be used as an alternative method for maintaining asphalt pavement when budget conditions are reduced due to national problems or natural disasters.

Abstract

The hospital is one type of land use utilization which could cause vehicle attraction. It is estimated that the existence of the new Ar-Rozy Hospital would become a trip attraction. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct research to anticipate the magnitude of the movement attraction which would occur in the future due to the existence of the new Ar-Rozy Hospital. This study uses trip generation analysis at 3 existing hospitals located around downtown Probolinggo. The primary data used is a survey of vehicles entering and leaving the hospital, and the secondary one is data consisting of the number of polys, the number of practicing doctors, the number of medical staff, land area, number of rooms, number of beds. The result shows that all independent variables affect the occurrence of vehicle attraction. The best model suitable for representing the conditions of the hospital vehicle attraction is chosen based on the results of a significant regression model and consideration of the highest R2, multicollinearity, and normality test, the best model is : Y = 91.754 + 0.623 medical staff R2 = 0.991.

Abstract

The Surabaya City Government seeks to provide adequate public transportation such as the Bus. The current condition on the Gunung Anyar - Kenjeran route is that there is no intermodal connectivity, so it is hoped that adequate intermodal connectivity will increase the demand for buses operating on the Gunung Anyar - Kenjeran route. For this reason, this research was conducted to plan the Microbus Stop as a stop location if the Microbus is to be used as a feeder for the Bus and determine the range of Microbus Stop services to meet the needs of the community. One of the locations chosen for this research is the Gunung Anyar - Kenjeran route, this is because this route is the route with the lowest number. Activities carried out to complete this research include conducting surveys of people who are active on and through the gunung anyar - kenjeran route, planning the alternative Microbus Stop location based on demand and infrastructure data and analyzing service coverage using the service area method. From the results obtained, it was found thatd majority of community made the move from Rungkut Sub-District to Gubeng Sub-District and Genteng Sub-District to Wonorejo Sub-District. Alternative Microbus Stop locations is divided into 2 schemes, namely demand-based and infrastructure-based. The demand-based Microbus Stop Scheme has 97 stop points while the infrastructure-based Microbus Stop scheme has 1270 stop points. Based on the results of the analysis of the service coverage of Microbus Stop, it shows that the infrastructure-based scheme has a better service area that meets community expectations, namely 5299.99 ha compared to the demand-based scheme which is only 1873.73 ha. The thing that causes the demand-based scheme to have a small service coverage area is due to the lack of demand data in Bulak District.
