Abstract

The SQ3R method is an increasingly popular and widely used reading method. This method is considered as a method of reading which is quite effective and can produce good understanding. SQ3R is a method of reading to find the main ideas and supporters of the main ideas also help the reader to remember longer. SQ3R is an excellent method for intensive and rational reading. This method is more appropriate for study needs. Because this method is designed according to levels that allow students to learn systematically, and efficiently. The study used qualitative approach by collecting data, arranged in a systematic, factual and accurate. This study used in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results obtained from the implementation of the SQ3R method in improving reading skills at MI Uyunul Ulum Gayam Bojonegoro are good enough, that the SQ3R method can improve students' reading skills. It bocomes a sollution to build student creativity and also makes the students dare to advance in order to uphold the progress of the institution.

Abstract

This study aims to know the effect of Flipped learning strategy on students' vocabulary achievement at pesantren—pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design used to determine the dependent variable's accuracy. Sixty elementary students at Pesantren Mambaush Sholihin Gresik assessed a significant influence on vocabulary achievement. The finding shows that data using a paired-sample t-test was 12,817 at the considerable level of 0,05 and the degree of freedom 29. The flipped learning method was significant and affected improving students' vocabulary in primary school. The learning impact will be considerably decreased if the group's division of labour is ambiguous and students do not participate actively in the group. Because of this, future implementations of flipped classes should be revised.

Abstract

This article is about using TikTok as media of teaching elementary speaking in pandemic era. There are various strategies to teach speaking during the COVID-19 epidemic, including social media revolutionizing educational contexts. TikTok became a popular source of information for learning and knowing about popular culture and other issues, and even news. true-experimental design was used to examine the experiment and control group. The results of statistic analysis, hypothesis, and the pre-test post-test were included in the data. It shows that both groups was 79.00<108.00 for the experimental group and 84.50<85.00 for the control group, it was concluded that from the post-test of both groups was 85.00<108.00, because after giving the treatment by using TikTok or no, showed the significant difference result between both groups. An independent sample test showed the score of Sig.(2-tailed) was 0.000 lower than 0.05, which means the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, so using TikTok application in teaching speaking can encourage the fluency of students' elementary speaking ability.

Abstract

The Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) technique for teaching reading comprehension in a recount text environment is the subject of this study. Cooperative learning necessitates that students collaborate on a shared goal and coordinate their efforts. The study used a pre-experimental pretest-posttest design. Surabaya junior high students provided the samples. The result reveals that the value (2-tailed) is 0,000, indicating that the CIRC approach has a positive impact on pupils' reading comprehension. The mean of the pre-test experiment group was 50.00, while the standard of the post-test experiment group was 80'00. Students who were taught the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) technique outperformed those who were taught alternative strategies.
