Abstract

This article is the result of research conducted at two multicultural elementary schools with multi-religious students and teachers. This research was intended to determine the value of multicultural education and the implementation of these values in Islamic religious education learning. This research utilized a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The data in this research were successfully gathered by means of observation, in-depth interview, and interpretation of related documents. Furthermore, the data in this research were then analyzed by using Robert K Yin’s case analysis which contains five phases of analysis, specifically: (1) Compiling, (2) Disassembling, (3) Reassembling (and Arraying), (4) Interpreting, and (5) Concluding. Subsequently, a cross-site analysis was carried out by comparing and combining the findings obtained from each site. The research results showed that the values of multicultural Islamic education in PAI learning were successfully implemented by teachers through several stages, including: First; integrated multicultural values in the school’s vision, mission, and goals, PAI Syllabus, and PAI Lesson Plans. Second; conducted learning process by using additive, transformative and social action approaches. Third; utilized democratic learning method by using various learning strategies such as dialogue, simulation and role playing, applied exemplary method, and mudzakaroh method. Fourth; evaluated the learning process by covering three assessment domains, particularly cognitive domain, affective domain, and skill domain. Fifth; practiced learning multicultural values in religious activities and social activities held by the school.Keywords : Implementation, Multicultural values, Islamic education learning

Abstract

Pembinaan karakter saat ini sangat dibutuhkan dalam menangani fenomena penyimpangan di masyarakat dan degradasi moral, baik di lingkungan instansi formal maupun non-formal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berbagai bentuk pembinaan karakter Islami melalui Sanggar Qur’an di Kampung Tilawah Silo Jember. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu pertama ; Santri Kampung Tilawah memiliki karakter yang baik dan ada yang masih perlu dibimbing. Yang paling menonjol adalah adanya penerapan sikap nilai-nilai karakter Islami antara lain taat kepada Allah, santun, jujur, taat kepada Rasul, empati, peduli lingkungan sekitar. kedua ; Pembinaan karakter Islami melalui Sanggar Qur’an pada santri di Kampung Tilawah dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu tahapan moral knowing (memahami), moral loving (menghayati), dan moral doing (menerapkan). Yang diterapkan melalui beberapa metode yang sesuai, diantaranya meliputimetode keteladanan, metode pembiasaan, metode kisah atau cerita, metode mauidzah (nasehat-nasehat).

Abstract

Education plays a very important role in developing quality human resources. The level of religious knowledge at MTsN 5 Banyuwangi varies from one student to another, there are students who are very good at knowing, understanding, living, and having good morals in experiencing the teachings of Islam originating from the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. One of the methods applied to involve students actively, in order to improve learning outcomes is to use the recitation method. The individual recitation method is giving assignments individually.  The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of individual recitation methods in increasing students' knowledge, attitudes, and motor skills in fiqh subjects at MTsN 5 Banyuwangi. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this thesis are done in several ways, namely data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of this study are: 1) The individual recitation method can increase students' knowledge of fiqh subjects at MTsN 5 Banyuwangi. The knowledge in question is in the form of understanding, evaluating, discriminating, remembering, and applying. 2) The individual recitation method can improve students' attitudes towards fiqh subjects at MTsN 5 Banyuwangi. The attitude in question is responsibility, and independence. 3) The individual recitation method can improve students' motor skills in the Fiqh subject at MTsN 5 Banyuwangi. The skills in question are imitation, emphasis, and naturalization

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the implementation and effectiveness of the Picture and Picture learning model in enhancing Grade II students’ understanding of prayer movements at MIN 2 Jember. This approach is considered to help young learners better visualize and comprehend the sequence of prayer movements through structured visual aids. A qualitative case study approach was used, with data collected from interviews and documentation. Participants included teachers, students, and the principal, providing a comprehensive view of the learning model’s application and impact. Findings indicate that the Picture and Picture method significantly improves students' grasp of prayer movements. By arranging sequential images, students develop a clearer understanding of each step involved in the prayer sequence. Indicators of effectiveness include students' ability to organize images correctly, explain the movements, demonstrate conceptual understanding, and actively participate in class activities. The study demonstrates that using the Picture and Picture model enhances students' learning by promoting visualization, active engagement, and critical thinking. This method not only helps in understanding complex religious concepts but also encourages interaction and deeper comprehension. The Picture and Picture method effectively supports young learners in visualizing and internalizing prayer movements, making it a valuable tool for educators teaching complex concepts. Its application across subjects could foster critical thinking and active learning among elementary students.
