Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the problem-solving physics by using media-based videoscribe learning. Learning with the help of a video will make students more interactive and active because students can understand the concept of abstract and solve the problem of physics related to daily life. The method used in this research was the quasi-experimental method with the research design of The Randomized Post-Test Only Control Group Design, which involved 30 students as samples in Physics Education of Indraprasta PGRI University. The technique analysis of the research using the T-test. The results showed that by using learning media videoscribe could improve the ability of problem-solving physics. We found significant positive effects of the use of videoscribe in conveying physics lessons With the help of video scribe, learning is more efficient in physics learning. The students understand abstract physics material and are able to activate students in learning. These findings are consistent with studies on the improve of the student’s problem-sloving ability on physics learning.

Abstract

This research aims to know the reading comprehension of students through KWL learning strategies. The research is descriptive research survey. The subject of research is the student of Mathematics Education Program who learned English. A sample of this research used sampling Simple Random Sampling (n = 40). Data collection is done by carrying out a test of reading using the test, after the students being treated by KWL learning strategies. Analysis of research data using descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that on the item reserved text reading comprehension there is 75% of the students who were able to resolve the matter at this stage determine the topic, 62.5% of the students were only able to resolve the matter at this stage determine the word citation and 67.5% of students were able to determine at the conclusion of the recitation and 50% specify detail information. It can be concluded that the KWL strategy is able to improve students reading comprehension. Key Words: Know-Want-Learn Learning Strategies, Reading Comprehension, English.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the need for teaching English courses in Mathematics Education Studi Program, namely e-modules assisted by flipbooks. The subjects in this research were lecturers in English courses and students who took English courses. Data collection techniques in this research used to interview and questionnaire techniques. Data analysis in this research consisted of, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are lecturing and problem-based methods, students have difficulty in learning English material, student interest in learning English courses is still low, and teaching materials used textbooks, and PowerPoint. E-module or flipbook had never been used. The results of literature studies and field studies indicate that it is necessary to develop an e-module or a flipbook in English courses.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of the structured assignment method on the mastery of concepts and mathematical problem-solving skills. The method used is an experimental method with the analysis technique used is Manova One Path. The sample in this study is a sample of 72 students at State Junior High Schools in the city of Tangerang. From the results of the analysis, it was obtained: (1) there was an influence of the structured assignment method on the mastery of the concept and the ability to solve mathematical problems in a multivariate manner as evidenced by the value of sig = 0.000 < 0.05 (2) there was an influence of the structured assignment method on the mastery of mathematical concepts univariate as evidenced by the value of sig = 0.006 < 0.05 (3) there was an influence of the structured assignment method on the ability to solve mathematical problems with It is proven that sig = 0.002 < 0.05. To improve the mastery of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills, teachers should not only use conventional or teacher-centered learning methods but are expected to be able to use learning models that involve students actively learning, including assignment methods that can involve students actively in meaningful learning activities through problem-solving.
