Abstract

Beach tourism is the special interest tourism which part of marine tourism. The coastal dynamic makes activities on the beach area is a high risk of drowning. The South Coastal of West Java which faces The Indian Ocean is high of dangerous, while the beaches along the coast are marine tourism areas. The research aim is to analyze the marine tourism risk caused by coastal dynamics in The South Coastal of West Java. The method consist of survey method used purposive sampling method and assessment method used fish bone diagram. The result shows there are three main causes factors that create marine tourism risk, that is the beach physical, the facilities, and the people. The facilities and the people are the factors which can avoid the danger of beach physical. The people factor, especially tourist, is the main factor who reduce the risk of marine tourism. In addition, is required participation from the stakeholder to increase the quality and quantity of lifeguard and also the safety equipment. Abstract

ABSTRACT Observation of coastal shoreline changes in the Subang District was conducted using Digital Shoreline Analysis System Program based on the satelite images of Landsat TM from 1996 to 2010. The purpose of this study was to determine the distance of shoreline change. Methods used in this study were field survey and regression analysis of shoreline data. The results of this study indicated the existence of a region experiencing accretion and abrasion. The maximum width of accretion of the coast was 1,051.55 meter while the maximum abration was 1,206.83 meter. Coastal shoreline change in Subang District occurred mainly due to the development activities such as residential construction, altering the coastal mangrove to ponds and rice paddies, and sediment transport from the river around Subang District. Abstract

Sedimentasi yang terjadi di Pelabuhan Patimban menyebabkan pendangkalan pada alur pelayaran dan kolam labuh kapal, sehingga mengganggu aktivitas yang terjadi pada pelabuhan. Untuk mendukung kegiatan tersebut, diperlukan kegiatan pemeliharaan dengan cara melakukan pengerukan sedimen yang mengendap secara berkala. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pola transpor sedimen yang terjadi selama satu bulan dalam mempengaruhi kedalaman di kolam labuh kapal yang diakibatkan oleh sedimen yang terbawa dari Sungai Sewu menuju kolam labuh kapal di Pelabuhan Patimban. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode numerik dengan pemodelan hidrodinamika dan transpor sedimen menggunakan MIKE. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pada area labuh kapal terjadi erosi dan sedimentasi yang tergolong sangat kecil yaitu erosi maksimal -0,0000754 meter dan sedimentasi maksimal sebesar 0,000026 meter. Sedangkan pada area alur pelayaran kapal juga terjadi erosi dan sedimentasi yang tergolong sangat kecil yaitu erosi maksimal sebesar -0,00006 meter dan sedimentasi maksimal sebesar 0,00000833 meter.
