Abstract

This research was aims to determine the mechanism of water vaporization and shrinkage in cassava chips during drying process using a cabinet dryer machine. Cassava chips driedat temperature 50, 60, and 700C with the time 240, 300, and 360 minutes. The parameter observed werewater content, water vaporization and shrinkage. The data were analyzed of descriptive. The results of the research showed that during drying process occurred of changes water content, water vaporization and shrinkage. More high  the temperature and to the length of time drying cause decrease the water content with increase the rate water vaporization and shrinkage.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the effect utilization of cane sari concentration and fermentation long to the quality of  cowpea sweet soy sauce that produced. This research is an experimen research with a complete randomized design of factorial pattern (factorial RAL) consisting of two factors, namely the of juice sugar cane concentration  3 treatment, namely: 100 ml, 200 ml, and 300 ml. and  fermentation long that is : 3 days, 5 days and 7 days. Research variables observed were protein content, viscosity and sucrose sugar content. The analytical technique used in this study is the of analysis variety .The results showed the best treatment on the addition of cane sari for organoleptic test (taste, color and aroma) and proximate analysis for viscosity and  sugar levels sucrose on addition of concentration 300 ml , for levels protein the best treatment on addition concentration 100 ml. whereas The best treatments on fermentation long for organoleptic test included (taste, color and aroma) and proximate analysis such as protein content, viscosity and sucrose sugar content with 3 days fermentation long.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the chemical characteristics of milk dairy cow in Sinjai District include fat content, protein content, calcium level and phosphorus level. The results of this test will be compared with the requirement of fresh milk quality based on Indonesian National Standard. This research is a kind of survey research, this research is done by taking samples of milk dairy cattle at three farmer groups in Sinjai District, especially in West Sinjai Sub-district namely  Batu leppa farmer group, Batu Pangkaiya  farmer group and Pattiroang farmer group. The results showed that milk protein content of dairy cows in Sinjai District has complied with Indonesian National Standard, but its fat content has not fulfilled the Indonesian National Standard. The calcium and phosphor content of dairy cattle milk in Sinjai District is good enough and meets the standards of fresh milk based on the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia

Abstract

Compost is organic material, such as leaves, straw, reed, grass, rice bran, stalk corn, tendrils, herbs and manure that has been decomposed by decomposing microorganisms, so it can be utilized to improve soil properties. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of compost fertilizer from the results of biopori infiltration holes to mustard plants and to determine the compost concentration of biopori most influential on the growth of mustard plants. This type of research is experimental research conducted with two stages, namely composting in biopori infiltration hole and utilization of biopori compost fertilizer on mustard plant to increase the growth and production of mustard plant. This research uses descriptive analysis with 5 treatment of concentration of compost fertilizer. The results of this study indicate that fertilizer from biopori infiltration hole is effective for use and the most influential concentration on the growth of the mustard greens is 150 grams.

Abstract

The Purpose of this research is to know the effect of using nitrogen sources and medium starter in the making of nata on the rendemen, fiber content as well as the organoleptic of nata based on conformance of nata SNI standards. Method of this research using a randomized block design (RAK) factorial with 2 factors. The first factor, source nitrogen using urea mung bean sprouts and soybean sprouts. The second factor is medium starter with using coconut water and nira tala. The data analyzed by using ANOVA technique with further Duncan experiment. The result of the experiment showed that the best nata is produced from the use of nitrogen sources soybean sprouts and starter nira tala.
