Abstract

In breastfeeding, not all mothers can breastfeed exclusively. One of the main obstacles is the physical and psychological conditions of the postpartum mother. The low self-confidence of the mother about the success of breastfeeding can reduce the production of mother's milk. This condition greatly inhibits the release of breast milk, so that it impacts the risk of failure to achieve exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of this activity is carried out as an effort to prepare pregnant women in the third trimester of exclusive breastfeeding. The methods used in this activity are lectures, demonstrations, and practices. The results of this activity were attended by 30 pregnant women in the third trimester. During the activity, the mothers were very enthusiastic; this was evident in the increase in their knowledge before and after being given information. In addition, during the hypnobreastfeeding and massage oxytocin training, the mother seemed comfortable and relaxed when participating in this activity

Abstract

Background: The prevalence of stunting in Palangka Raya City based on data from Riskesdas Prov. Central Kalimantan in 2018 had a stunting prevalence of 22,9%, based on data from the Prov. Central Kalimantan in 2019 had a stunting prevalence of 15,0% and based on EPPGBM data from the Palangka Raya City Health Office in 2020, it had a stunting prevalence of 23,97%, so it can be seen that there was a decline in the incidence of stunting in Palangka Raya City from 2018 to 2019 of 7,9 % and an increase in the incidence of stunting from 2019 to 2020 by 8,97%. The purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers about nutrition on the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Methode: This study uses a literature review method. The data source is taken from the Google Scholar database with a range of data years taken from 2017-2020 and used in the Indonesian language. The result: The search results found 6 journals used in this study. From the 6 research journals, researchers found 4 journals that stated that there was a relationship between the level of mother's knowledge about nutrition and the incidence of stunting in toddlers, and 2 journals that stated that there was no relationship between the level of mother's knowledge about nutrition and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Conclusion: There are 4 journals that state a relationship exists between maternal knowledge about nutrition and the incidence of stunting in toddlers; this is because the majority of respondents have a good level of knowledge. Two other journals stated that there was no relationship between the mother's level of knowledge about nutrition and the incidence of stunting in children under five, this was because the education level of the majority of respondents graduated from elementary school. Stunting can also be affected by food security, low income can affect access to food to meet nutritional needs.

Abstract

One way of transmitting pulmonary Tuberculosis is through droplets of phlegm (droplet nuclei) when a patient coughs or sneezes, especially to those closest to the patient, namely the family who lives in the same house as the patient. Family behavior in prevention plays an important role in reducing the risk of pulmonary TB transmission, such as using eating or drinking utensils simultaneously, lack of lighting in the house, and patients still spitting carelessly. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of family knowledge and the prevention of transmission of pulmonary tuberculosis in the work area of the Pahandut Health Center. The design of this study used analytical research methods using a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were all patients with pulmonary Tuberculosis, with a total sample of 58 respondents. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. The research data was taken using a questionnaire. After tabulating the existing data, it was analyzed using the Chi-Square analysis test. The results showed a relationship between the family knowledge level and efforts to prevent transmission of pulmonary tuberculosis in the Pahandut Health Center Work Area (with a P value of 0.000 < 0.05). Puskesmas can improve and maintain the quality of services or programs that have been provided to families and pulmonary Tuberculosis patients and provide counseling about prevention related to pulmonary Tuberculosis.
