Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of moral reasoning method on elementary students’ nationalism character development in thematic learning. This is a quasi experiment research with a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this research were fifth graders of Ngebel Kasihan State Elementary School. Ngebel Kasihan State Elementary School has two fifth grade classes, class V-A as the control group used a storytelling method, and class V-B as the experiment group used a morel reasoning method. The data collection techniques used were observation and interview. The data analysis used was t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The research results showed that there was a significant difference between nationalism character development using a moral reasoning method and a storytelling method. The difference was seen is all nationalism sub characters which include “Belief in the one and only God” value with the t test result = 0.155, “Just and civilized humanity” value with the t test result = 0.129, “the unity of Indonesia” value with the t test result = 0.405, “Popularism Led by Wisdom of Wisdom in Consultation / Representation” value with the t test result = 0.529, and “Social justice for all the people of Indonesia” value with the t test result = 0.608.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential of the flipped classroom model based on living values education program to strengthen the character education of elementary school students. This research is a literature study using a qualitative descriptive approach by examining journals related to flipped classrooms and journals related to the living values education program. The results of these literature reviews will be used to identify the potential of a flipped classroom model based on a living values education program as a strengthening of character education for elementary school students. Sources of research data are secondary data sources. Data analysis in this literature review is content analysis. The results of this study indicate the potential for a flipped classroom model based on living values education program to strengthen the character education of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to create a digital comic medium utilizing the Living Values Education Program (LVEP) to foster global diversity character in fifth-grade elementary students. The objective is to nurture students' potential in personality, morals, skills, and spiritual aspects. Introduced by Indonesia’s Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Makarim, in April 2021, the "Merdeka Belajar" Curriculum (Kumer) focuses on character education through the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) and encourages student autonomy in learning. The research employs the 4D development model: definition, design, development, and dissemination. Validation by media and material experts showed positive feedback and acceptance by teachers and students, affirming the medium's effectiveness in promoting global diversity character. This medium is expected to contribute to innovative learning methods and support the improvement of character education quality in Indonesia. Further development and implementation are anticipated to enhance efforts in fostering global diversity character among students.

Abstract

The Saleh Children's Festival is one of the collaborative programs organized by the Alma Ata University Community Service Program students in the hamlet of Kunden. The purpose of holding this pious children's festival program is 1. to increase enthusiasm in learning Islam, 2. to develop interests and talents in the field of religion, 3. to increase the self-confidence of the children of the Kunden village. In the implementation of the pious children's festival program, there are 4 categories of competitions, namely: Adhan competition, short letter memorization competition, daily prayer memorization and calligraphy coloring. the method of implementing the activity is by analyzing the needs of children of primary school age, planning, implementing, and evaluating as well as following up on the activities that have been taught. The results of this pious children's festival program are so that the children of Dusun Kunden are more enthusiastic in teaching Islam, then the children of Dusun Kunden are also bolder to show their talents and increase their self-confidence after participating in the pious children's festival program.
