Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of moral reasoning method on elementary students’ nationalism character development in thematic learning. This is a quasi experiment research with a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this research were fifth graders of Ngebel Kasihan State Elementary School. Ngebel Kasihan State Elementary School has two fifth grade classes, class V-A as the control group used a storytelling method, and class V-B as the experiment group used a morel reasoning method. The data collection techniques used were observation and interview. The data analysis used was t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The research results showed that there was a significant difference between nationalism character development using a moral reasoning method and a storytelling method. The difference was seen is all nationalism sub characters which include “Belief in the one and only God” value with the t test result = 0.155, “Just and civilized humanity” value with the t test result = 0.129, “the unity of Indonesia” value with the t test result = 0.405, “Popularism Led by Wisdom of Wisdom in Consultation / Representation” value with the t test result = 0.529, and “Social justice for all the people of Indonesia” value with the t test result = 0.608.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode moral reasoning terhadap penanaman karakter nasionalisme siswa SD dalam pembelajaran tematik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V di SD N Ngebel Kasihan. SD N Ngebel memiliki dua kelas, kelas V A sebagai kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode storytelling dan kelas V B sebagai kelompok eksperimen menggunakan metode moral reasoning. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaaan yang signifikan antara penanaman karakter nasionalisme dengan metode moral reasoning dan metode storytelling. Perbedaaan tersebut terlihat di semua subkarakter nasionalisme yang mencakup nilai Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa dengan hasil uji t 0,155, nilai Kemanusiaan yang Adil dan Beradab dengan hasil uji t 0,129, nilai Persatuan Indonesia dengan hasil uji t 0,405, nilai Kerakyatan yang Dipimpin oleh Hikmat Kebijaksanaan dalam Permusyawaratan/Perwakilan dengan hasil uji t 0,529, dan nilai Keadilan Sosial Bagi Seluruh Rakyat Indonesia dengan hasil uji t 0,608.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada aspek ejaan dan sintaksis serta persepsi terhadap Indonesia dalam naskah mini project  mahasiswa Tionghoa. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 13 naskah mini project mahasiswa Tionghoa di Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis isi yang meliputi tahap (1) unitizing, (2) sampling, (3) recording/coding, (4) reducing data, (5) inferring, dan (6) narrating. Hasil penelitian, pertama menunjukkan terdapat kesalahan pada tataran ejaan meliputi (1) kesalahan pemakaian huruf sebanyak 1162 kesalahan, (2) kesalahan penulisan kata sebanyak 122 kesalahan, (3) kesalahan pemakaian tanda baca sebanyak 57, dan (4) kesalahan penulisan unsur serapan sebanyak 36. Total kesalahan ejaan adalah 1337 kesalahan atau 5,26%. Kedua, kesalahan pada tataran sintaksis, meliputi (1) kesalahan subjek sebanyak 103 kesalahan, (2) kesalahan predikat sebanyak 17 kesalahan, (3) kesalahan objek sebanyak 8 kesalahan, (4) kesalahan keterangan sebanyak 1 kesalahan, dan kesalahan pelengkap sebanyak 4 kesalahan. Total kesalahan sintaksis adalah 133 kesalahan atau 45,47%. Ketiga, persepsi mahasiswa Tionghoa terhadap Indonesia meliputi 10 hal, tiga hal yang dominan yaitu (1) stereotip masyarakat Tionghoa terhadap Indonesia, (2) mispersepsi terhadap budaya Indonesia, (3) kebijakan pemerintah Indonesia yang tidak konsisten di berbagai bidang seperti ekonomi, sosial, politik, dan pendidikan. The spelling mistakes, syntax, and perception to indonesia manuscript of Chinese mini project AbstractThis study aimned to describe the mistakes of Indonesian language used in the spelling, syntax and perception to Indonesian manuscript of Chinese Mini Project students. This study applied the descriptive qualitative. The research subject was 13 manuscripts of Chinese mini project students at Art and Language Faculty of Yogyakarta State University. The data was collected by the documentation technique. The data analysis technique was content analysis technique which were (1) unitizing, (2) sampling, (3) recording/coding, (4) reducing data, (5) inferring, and (6) narrating. The results of the research were described as follows. First, there were some mistakes in the spelling, (1) including 1162 mistakes of letter use, (2) 122 writing mistakes, (3) mistakes of punctuation use, and (4) 36 applied mistakes. The sum of spelling mistakes were 1337 or 5.26% mistakes. Second, the mistakes of syntax were described as follows. (1) There were 103subject mistakes, (2) 17 verb mistakes, (3) 8 object mistakes, (4) 1 note mistake and there were 4 complement mistakes. The sum of syntax mistakes were 133 or 45.47% mistakes. Third, Chinese students’ perception to Indonesia was described as follows: 10 perception, three dominant of which were (1) Chinese stereotype to Indonesia, (2) misperception to Indonesian culture, (3) the unstable policy of Indonesian government in the economic, social, politic and education fields.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of multicultural education teaching materials based on the character of nationalism. The research model used is the Borg & Gall research and development model (1983: 775-776). Effectiveness is evidenced by the results of the independence statistical test using U Mann Whitney which shows that the probability value is equal to 0.019 <0.05 then ho is rejected so it is concluded that teaching materials developed are effective for instilling the character of nationalism in multicultural education.Keywords: Teaching Materials, Multicultural, Nationalism ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan bahan ajar pendidikan multikultural berbasis karakter nasionalisme. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah model penelitian dan pengembangan  Borg & Gall (1983: 775-776). Keefektifan dibuktikan dengan hasil uji statistik independensi menggunakan U Mann Whitney yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai probabilitas  sama dengan 0,019 < 0,05 maka ho ditolak sehingga disimpulkan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan efektif untuk menanamkan karakter nasionalisme pada pendidikan multikultural.     Kata Kunci: Bahan Ajar, Multikultural, Nasionalism

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that exists in the world of education today, namely the lower values of national character inherent in students. This is because teachers still rarely insert nationalistic values in learning activities. For that we need the right way to incorporate the values of nationalism character in learning using interesting learning methods so as to create student enthusiasm for learning. This study aims to determine the effect of storytelling methods on the cultivation of nationalism in elementary school students. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The research subjects were grade V students of Ngebel Elementary School, Kasihan, Bantul. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of pre-test and post-test data processing, the t-test calculation through the SPSS program with the results of the inculcation of nationalism in children carried out before and after the treatment is a t-count of -11,393 with a Sig level, (2 tailed = 0,000 so the t table value of -2, 214 at the level of Significance (a = 0.05), because t-count ³ t table. Based on these results can be concluded that the storytelling method influences the planting of the character of nationalism in children.Keywords: storytelling, planting characters, nationalism

Abstract

This study discussed the renewal of leadership models in Al-Qur'an-based pesantren. Leadership in pesantren has a major influence on its development and existence. Ibn Abbas Islamic Boarding School is interesting to study because it is modern managed. This is a case study to examine in depth the developed leadership model. The data were collected through observation, documentation, and interview, and analyzed using the Miles Huberman triangulation model, so that the results were in the form of abstractions showing their novelty. Pesantren Ibnu Abbas Klaten is led by a director who acted as a manager as well as mufti and kyai. The director supervises three educational units; the pesantren, the santri, and the school unit, which each led by a chief. Even though a director (or Kyai) has full leadership rights, the "syuro-participative" leadership model is implemented in regular meetings every week, and the deliberation results showing the participation of each existing institution. This indicated that the highest forum is at the leadership meeting, not unilaterally by the Kyai.
