Abstract

This study aimed at examining whether or not the teaching media gave impact to the social-subject learning outcome viewed from the students’ interest. This was an experimental study. The study employed experimental design treatment by level 2x2. The sampling participants were the fifth graders of 86 Public Elementary School, Kota Tengah and 78 Public Elementary School, Kota Tengah, Gorontalo City, academic year of 2017/2018. The participants were selected through multi stage simple random sampling. The result of this study revealed that there was a significant impact of the teaching media usage towards the social-subject learning outcome that was viewed from the students’ interest.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan resiliensi ayah dalam mendidik anak-anak dengan kondisi istri bekerja di luar negeri sebagai Tenaga Kerja Wanita (TKW). Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ayah beradaptasi dengan kondisi yang baru saja dialaminya semasa hidup yaitu mengurus rumah tangga dan mendidik anak. Untuk menyesuaikan dirinya, ayah mengalami 4 tahapan resiliensi yang berkaitan, guna membentuk kembali kehidupan lamanya yang diaplikasikan ke dalam kehidupan barunya saat ini, adapun 4 tahapan tersebut ialah: 1) Mengalah untuk tujuan yang lebih baik, 2) Bertahan menjalani hidup, 3) Pemulihan, mencoba untuk bangkit kembali, dan 4) Berkembang, dimana ayah terbiasa dengan kondisi yang ia jalani saat ini. Lingkungan budaya di desa yang pada umumnya istri banyak bekerja sebagai TKW di luar negeri maka si ayah dapat beradaptasi dengan baik.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain the essence of community experience related to the change in attitude experienced after the natural disaster of cold lava flood in Kelurahan Tubo, Kota Ternate Utara, Ternate City. The research methodology used by researchers in this study is a qualitative research methodology with a phenomenological study approach. In the phenomenological tradition that is most labored by researchers is the essence of experience experienced by informants. Dimensions are important in phonomenology, first that in every human experience there is something essentially essential and meaningful. In-depth interviews and Focus group discussions aim to complete informants 'answers in accordance with the researchers' questions, in addition to in-depth interviews and focus group discussions can bring researchers closer to the community.

Abstract

The objectives of this research is try to finding out the information about the effect of academic background of students on the ability of high-level thinking (HOTS) in the environment. An ex post facto method has been applied by involving n= 120 students at SMA Negeri 21 Jakarta. Data was analyzed by Paired Sample T-tes. The results revealed that there were significant differences of student’s HOTS who come from academic background of MIA (Mathematics of Natural Sciences) and the academic background of IIS (Social Sciences). Therefore, to be considered about academic background factors that can lead students to improve HOTS in the environment. Further research on other variables that can influence HOTS in the environment, the background of respondents not only on the students but can be done to the general public because the environment to be the obligation of all the inhabitants of the earth. Environment has become the dominant issue in the beginning of this century, we need to re-educate our thinking, with further possibility to rekindle our hope of a future with dignity for all.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Dalam rangka mempersiapkan generasi emas Indonesia Tahun 2045 penting bagi dunia pendidikan untuk melakukan perubahan cara atau pola pikir. Dunia Pendidikan tidak sekedar dimaknai dengan tranfer akademik (keilmuan) saja, tetapi juga dengan dilengkapi dengan karakter. Keseimbangan akademik dan karakter inilah yang penting dipersiapkan sejak sekarang atau sedini mungkin. Hal ini seperti disampaikan oleh Rektor IKIP PGRI Semarang dalam rangka diskusi ilmiah Tanggal 8 April 2013. Dalam kesempatan tersebut Rektor menekakan, perlunya keseimbangan penguasaan ilmu (akademik, keterampilan, dan karakter) merupakan faktor kunci menghasilkan sumberdaya manusia yang kompetitif. Proses pemeblajaran tidak cukup sekedar meningkatkan pengetahuan melalui core subjects melakinkan harus dilengkapi dengan kemampuan kritis- kreatif, karakter kuat yang didukung pula dengan kemampuan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Agar lebih baik generasi mendatang sesuai dengan pernyataan tersebut, maka muthlak bahwa pendidikan karakter sedini mungkin perlu dipersiapkan, mengingat ancaman, hambatan dan gangguan di luar sekolah mengintai setiap saat, seperti bahaya merokok, minuman keras dan bahkan lebih buruk lagi yaitu bahaya masuknya narkoba di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah. Khususnya narkoba hingga kini penyebaran narkoba sudah hampir tak bisa dicegah. Berdasarkan uraian di atas, maka dianggap perlu memperkenal-kan kepada siswa sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama sedini mungkin, tentang bahaya merokok, minuman keras dan narkoba. Sejalan dengan program pengabdian pada masyarakat dan dalam rangka berperan-serta untuk mencegah hal-hal negatif di luar sekolah, maka penting dilakukan upaya pencegahan tersebut melalui penyuluhan sehari yang diselenggarakan bulan Juli minggu keempat 2015, selama dua hari tentang :”Bahaya Merokok, Minuman Keras, dan Narkoba pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar Kecamatan Campaka Kabupaten Purwakarta Jawa Barat” ABSTRACT In order to prepare the Indonesian gold generation Year 2045 is important for education to change the way or the mindset. The world of education is not just interpreted by academic transfers (scholarship) only, but also equipped with character. It is this academic balance and character that is important to be prepared from now or as early as possible. This is as stated by the Rector of IKIP PGRI Semarang in the framework of scientific discussion on April 8, 2013. In that occasion the Rector emphasizes the need for a balance of mastery of science (academic, skill, and character) is a key factor in producing competitive human resources. The learning process is not enough just to improve knowledge through the core subjects convinced to be equipped with critical-creative skills, strong character supported by the ability to utilize information and communication technology.In order to better future generations in accordance with the statement, it is imperative that character education as early as possible needs to be prepared, given the threats, obstacles and disruptions outside school stalked at all times, such as the dangers of smoking, drinking and even worse the danger of drug entry among elementary and high school students. Especially drugs until now the spread of drugs is almost unavoidable.Based on the above description, it is deemed necessary to introduce to primary and junior high school students as early as possible, about the dangers of smoking, drinking and drugs. In line with community service programs and in order to participate in preventing negative things outside the school, it is important to undertake such preventive measures through a day-to-day counseling held in July 4th week 2015, for two days on: "The Dangers of Smoking, , and Drugs on Elementary School Students Campaka DistrictPurwakarta District of West Java "

Abstract

Abstract This counseling activity is an activity to provide education about disaster for the community through education in this case school teachers. This activity aims to create teachers who have the knowledge to become facilitators and instructors for students in disaster disasters and mitigation, so that it is expected to create a generation of students who are ready and responsive to natural disasters in the present and the future. -SMP one roof 01 kelurahan pari island as many as 18 people. The process of this activity was in August-September 2019. The counseling method was carried out in the form of lectures, presentations and questions and answers. The results of the activity obtained the knowledge of teachers about disaster has increased after compared in the pre-test and post-test scores. So hopefully this kind of activity can increase the capacity of a teacher as a facilitator and instructor in schools in dealing with various disaster threats in Indonesia. Abstrak Kegiatan penyuluhan ini merupakan kegiatan untuk memberikan edukasi tentang kebencanaan bagi masyarakat melalui pendidikan dalam hal ini guru-guru sekolah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan menciptakan guru-guru yang memiliki pengetahuan untuk menjadi fasilitator dan instruktur bagi siswa dalam kebencanaan dan mitigasi bencana, sehingga diharapkan tercipta suatu generasi siswa yang siap dan tanggap terhadap bencana alam di masa kini maupun masa mendatang.Sasaran Penyuluhan ini adalah Guru guru SD-SMP satu atap 01 kelurahan pulau pari sebanyak 18 orang. Proses kegiatan ini pada bulan agustus-september 2019. Metode penyuluhan dilaksanakan dalam bentuk ceramah, presentasi dan tanya jawab. Hasil dari kegiatan didapatkan pengetahuan guru-guru tentang kebencanaan mengalami peningkatan setelah dibandingkan dalam nilai pre tes dan post tes. Sehingga diharapkan kegiatan semacam ini dapat meningkatkan kapasitas seorang guru sebagai fasilitator dan instruktur di sekolah dalam menghadapi berbagai ancaman bencana di Indonesia.

Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF HUMANISM IN LEARNING OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS. This study aims to determine how the application of humanism in learning at Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Elementary School, West Jakarta. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method in which data collection procedures are in the form of observation, interviews, document analysis or documentation and combination (triangulation). In addition, this study uses data analysis, namely by matching the pattern or pattern matching with the Campbell matchmaking technique. The results of the study found that the application of humanism in learning in grade 1 at Elementary School of Cinta kasih Tzu Chi was using the Cooperative Learning model. The curriculum used is the government’s recommended curriculum, namely the 2013 Curriculum with the addition of local content in humanistic culture and character subjects adopted from the teachings of Master Cheng Yen from Taiwan. In the case of learning in the classroom, educators train how to communicate well, remind that they must be empathetic and kind to everyone, for educators’ assessment not only from exam results but also daily attitudes. In addition, the role of parents from the research results shows that the role of parents is very important in the success of the humanist application itself. This can be seen from parents who have to monitor attitudes and learning processes when at home.

Abstract

Tulisan ini merupakan hasil penelitian studi pustaka yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses, hasil, maupun pembaharuan pendidikan humanis yang diterapkan di sekolah khususnya sekolah dasar. Hasil analisis sepuluh jurnal ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendidikan humanis bisa diterapkan di sekolah formal maupun inklusi. Selain itu, dalam menghadapi tantangan zaman dan pencegahan terhadap perilaku negatif di lingkungan sekolah, baik yang dilakukan oleh pendidik maupun peserta didik, dalam proses pembelajaran dan pendidikan humanis diharapkan sudah diterapkan. Karena tujuan dari pendidikan humanis yaitu meninggikan derajat manusia, mengembangkan bakat serta mengoptimalkan potensi yang dimiliki peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of environmental knowledge and personality neuroticism with clean and healthy life Behavior in high school students 54 East Jakarta. The results showed that: (1) There was a positive relationship between environmental knowledge and clean and healthy life behavior; (2) There is a positive relationship between the personality of neuroticism and the behavior of clean and healthy life; (3) There is a mutually positive relationship between environmental knowledge and the personality of neuroticism with clean and healthy living behavior; Based on the results of the study concluded that to improve the behavior of clean and healthy life, then knowledge about environment and personality of student neuroticism need to be improved. Evidence suggests that schools play an important role in caring for student health, including environmental, policy and stakeholder engagement, health education sessions, and practical health promotion activities. This finding emphasizes the importance of socialization of clean healthy living at an early age through the integration of learning programs in schools.
