Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles as resin concentrate on mechanical strength. The tested mechanical strength is Bending strength, Impact Strength, and Microhardenest Strength. The types of resin used in this study were acrylic resin without conventional modification and acrylic resin with an additional 0.01 gr and 0.06 gr of TiO2. Specimen dimensions are made revered to ISO 20795-1 (2008) standard specifications. Mechanical strength was determined by using the universal testing machine, Izod pendulum impact testing machine, and also Vickers microhardness tester. From the analysis, the researcher found that the bending strength of resin acrylic was greatly decreased by increasing the TiO2 concentration. It happens in both TiO2 0.01gr and 0.06gr of acrylic resin compared to the non TiO2 resin. The impact strength of 0.01gr TiO2 acrylic resin was significantly increased compared to non TiO2 acrylic resin. But on the other hand for 0.06gr acrylic resin, impact strength was decreased and recorded the lowest impact strength. The highest Micro hardness strength was found in 0.06gr TiO2, It is significantly increased compared to 0.01gr TiO2 and 0gr TiO2. The general conclusion is, adding 0.01gr TiO2 nanoparticles as concentrated into acrylic resin can significantly increase the bending strength, bending strength, and microhardness strength. Meanwhile, adding 0.06gr Tio2 nanoparticles as concentrated into acrylic resin can only increase the bending strength and the microhardness strength, but not for its impact strength.

Abstract

Escherichia coli (E.Coli) harms the environment in human digestion. E coli causes diarrhoea if one consumes food or drink that is not clean or exposed to bacteria. This research aims to produce a specimen that combines resin coated with TiO2 and partly ultraviolet light to kill Escherichia coli bacteria. The method used in this research is experimental. The activity in this research is mixing TiO2 nanomaterial with resin, then varying the time and exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Furthermore, observations were made by comparing the number of bacteria found in the two specimens with SEM. Specimens were analyzed using digital image processing. The appearance of the white capsule is the bacteria. The grey bottom is the specimen conclusion in this study was that the TiO2 (titanium dioxide) and resin specimens and modified ultraviolet radiation were quite effective in killing E.coli which achieved a 91% reduction in the number of bacteria.

Abstract

AbstractJenggawah Public Health Center at Jember Regency in the process of managing the medical record documents was not always stored in a filing room but there was a time limit for storage. Medical record documents that had passed the storage period must be retained, due to the increasing number of medical record documents so that the storage space will be full and not sufficient for new medical records. The implementation of retention still aplied manually, caused retention activity did not run effectively and efficiently, and did not in accordance with the times. This study aims to design and creates an outpatient medical record retention information system at Jenggawah Public Health Center. This type of the research was a system development with the RAD (Rapid Application Development) method and uses qualitative data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, documentation, and brainstorming. Respondents in this study were the head of the medical record unit, and two medical record officers. The result of this study is an outpatient medical record retention information system that has the ability to regulate and manage the retention, preservation, and destruction of outpatient medical record documents and is integrated with the information system for borrowing and returning medical record documents so that it can make it easier for officers to carry out retention activity at Jenggawah Public Health Center.
