Abstract

Abstract Health development policy has faced challenges related to COVID-19 prevention which has been categorized by WHO as a pandemic in March 2020. The increasing transmission of this pandemic, COVID-19 can be prevented by providing health education with visual and audiovisual media related to COVID-19. This study was aimed to analyze the different influences of health education with visual media and audiovisual media on students' knowledge of COVID-19. This research applied Non-Equivalent Control Group Research Design. The location of this research was Health Polytechnic Ministry of Health, East Kalimantan. In total, 90 respondents who participated in this study. The results showed that there were differences in knowledge of visual and audiovisual group after given health education. In this study, it can be concluded that health education with visual media and audiovisual media are effective in increasing students' knowledge about COVID-19. Keywords: health education, knowledge, COVID-19, teenager Abstrak Kebijakan dalam pembangunan kesehatan mendapatkan tantangan terkait penanggulangan COVID-19 yang telah dikategorikan WHO sebagai pandemi pada bulan Maret 2020. Upaya mencegah transmisi pandemi COVID-19 salah satunya dengan memberikan pendidikan kesehatan dengan media visual dan audiovisual terkait COVID-19. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan dengan media visual dan media audiovisual terhadap pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Politeknik Kesehatan Kementrian Kesehatan Kalimantan Timur. Terdapat 90 responden yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata skor pengetahuan kelompok visual dan audiovisual setelah diberikan intervensi. Pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendidikan kesehatan dengan media visual dan media audiovisual efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang COVID-19. Abstract

Eating fruits and vegetables is one of the important requirements in fulfilling balanced nutrition. The purpose of this community service activity is to assist counseling in an effort to raise public awareness of eating fruits and vegetables. The targets in community service are housewives in RT 14 Kelurahan Tani Aman, Kader. The service activity began with the socialization of explanations about the awareness of eating fruits and vegetables. The activity was then continued with training on the practice of making fruit and vegetable meals. This service activity program applies implementation methods, namely lectures and discussions, direct practice and evaluation of activities. The lecture and discussion method aims to provide knowledge about awareness of eating fruits and vegetables. Delivery of material using power points and educational videos on awareness of eating fruits and vegetables. Pretest and posttest results for the consumption category: 54% of housewives consume fruits and vegetables well, and 46% of housewives consume vegetables well. The results of this pretest and posttest are still very low. Vegetable consumption is still higher than fruit consumption. Conclusion After this service activity, it is hoped that it can increase awareness and consumption of fruits and vegetables from housewives and can invite people around, especially families, to consume fruits and vegetables.
