Abstract

AbstarckIn dealing with a conflict between two groups, it is necessary to respect each other and be willing to listen to each other's opinions. Such as the social disparity in the community in KenanganBaru Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, regarding the sense of intolerance between Muslims who are worshiping and customers of the taverns who make a fuss by singing while music as loud as possible, so that a sense of intolerance and lack of other people's opinions. To get complete information about the problems that occur in the Kelurahan, I use a type of qualitative research method, namely research that aims to get closer to the in-depth description of the perpetrators, parties, victims and also observe from one individual to another in certain settings that are studied from the point of view. comprehensive social and religious sciences. The methodology used in this study is a sociological approach, which is an approach that focuses on the interaction of religion and society. After the holding of mediation by the BKM, FKUB and traditional leaders to resolve the problems between the mosque and the taverns, they held a peace agreement dialogue to tolerate and respect the opinions of others, and as a result, the life of the people of KenanganBaru Village has reached the peak of peace and there is no more rioting. as well as the destruction of places of worship.Keyword : Conflict Resolution, Religion, Houses of Worship.

Abstract

Tinada Village is one of the areas in Tinada District, Pakpak Bharat Regency, North Sumatra Province. Previously Pakpak Bharat Regency was part of Dairi Regency including Tinada Village and other villages that are still under the auspices of the present Pakpak Bharat Regency Government. The Pakpal Bharat area is predominantly Christian, so Islam is a minority population. The community in Tinada Village is a heterogeneous community, there are various clans that are characteristic of the Pakpak tribe and also various religions adhered to by the local community. With these characteristics, the Pakpak community can live side by side with other communities. This study aims to find out how the development of Islam in minority areas and how the potential/ability of Islamic da'wah in Minority Areas in Strengthening Islamic Values and what are the obstacles/constraints in developing Islamic da'wah in Tinada, Kec. Tinada, Kab. Mr. Bharat. This problem is studied through field research methods with a sociological approach. The formulation of the problem in this study is the development of Islamic da'wah in minority areas and the potential of Islamic da'wah in minority areas in strengthening Islamic values. The results of this study found that the development of Islam in the Tinada minority area is still relatively lacking in terms of empowerment. As well as the lack of awareness of some people who make Islam in Tinada difficult to realize Islamic values.

Abstract

Pada zaman modern ini masyarakat Islam mengalami krisis identitas, yang terpatri di pikiran menjadi jati diri tentang “siapakah kita?” Karena manusia hidup dan bertindak sebagian besar sesuai dengan gambaran yang mereka miliki tentang diri mereka sendiri.Dengan implementasi dari tasawuf berbicara kepada sedikit orang yang mendapatkan jawaban untuk pertanyaan tentang siapa-siapakah mereka dari itulah tasawuf berperan penting dalam mencari kebenaran atas pertanyaan tersebut. Dari karya Seyyed Hossein Nasr dapat diperjelaskan hakikat manusia mencari kebenaran dalam tasawuf. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjabarkan bagaimana impelementasi tasawuf dalam mencari kebenaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, ini lebih menekankan suatu makna daripada generalisasi dengan memaparkan dan menganalisa suatu objek. Adapun data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah jenis pustaka (library research) dengan membaca dan meneliti topik yang berkenaan atau relevan dengan penelitian ini. Temuan dari penelitian ini ialah, belajar dan mengamalkan tasawuf akan dapat mendapatkan kebenaran, sebagaimana yang diketahui bahwasannya tasawuf itu ilmu Islam yang memfokuskan pada aspek spiritual dari Islam. Dilihat dari keterkaitannya dengan kemanusiaan, tasawuf lebih menekankan pada aspek kerohanian dari pada aspek jasmani, dalam kaitannya dengan kehidupan manusia tasawuf lebih mengutamakan kehidupan akhirat daripada kehidupan dunia namun tidak menghilangkan salah satunya.

Abstract

The Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) plays a crucial role in the development and fostering of community life. Therefore, it is a unit within the Ministry of Religious Affairs, located in various regions, and directly interacts with the wider community. Islamic law requires a marriage contract (Ijab Qabul), a verbal declaration of the relationship between the bride and groom. The conclusion is that the religious services implemented have been running well. This is evident from several services implemented. The collaboration between KUA officials, counselors, and community leaders has been supported by the latest service program, the KUA Revitalization, a significant breakthrough program implemented by the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Abstract

This article examines the concept of green conservatism in the thought of Roger Vernon Scruton (1944-2020), a prominent conservative philosopher. The research aims to analyze the intellectual stimulus that gave birth to the idea of green conservatism and evaluate its main principles. The results show that Scruton's green conservatism stems from his personal experience and his belief in the importance of environmental preservation through local approaches and respect for tradition. The main stimuli that influenced Scruton's thinking include his complicated relationship with his father, his experiences in Paris during the 1968 student riots, and his decision to leave academia to focus on writing and agriculture. Scruton integrated traditional conservative principles with environmental concerns through the concepts of oikophilia (love of home), subsidiarity, localism, and cultural and historical preservation. With this approach, Scruton challenges the dominant narrative in environmentalism and offers a new perspective that emphasizes the importance of local awareness and personal responsibility in environmental conservation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the job satisfaction of permanent employees at Paya Pinang Plantation Company in the implementation of the 2026 UINSU Community Service Program (KKN UINSU 2026). The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach to gain an in-depth understanding of employees’ experiences in carrying out their work. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation conducted during field activities. The analysis focused on several aspects related to job satisfaction, including job characteristics, compensation, working environment, relationships with coworkers, relationships with supervisors, as well as factors that support and hinder employee satisfaction. The findings indicate that permanent employees’ job satisfaction is influenced by comfort in performing their duties, harmonious interpersonal relationships, a supportive work environment, and compensation considered appropriate to their job responsibilities. In addition, communication with supervisors and cooperation among employees contribute to creating a positive working atmosphere. Several obstacles were also identified, particularly those related to workload and working conditions. This study is expected to provide an overview of employees’ job satisfaction and serve as an evaluation reference for the company in continuously improving employee welfare and productivity through more responsive human resource management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the existence of a company on the social and economic life of the community in Paya Pinang Village. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation during the implementation of the 2026 Community Service Program (KKN) of UIN Sumatera Utara. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, involving residents, company employees, retired employees, and community leaders who possessed relevant knowledge and experience regarding the company’s presence. The results show that the company has a positive impact on the economic conditions of the community, particularly through the provision of employment opportunities, more stable income, housing facilities, allowances, bonuses, and old-age benefits. The company also provides opportunities for residents to develop side businesses and contributes to social activities and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. From a social perspective, relationships among residents generally remain harmonious, and the company’s presence does not create significant conflicts. However, several needs remain, including improvements to residential facilities, provision of productive business locations, and enhancement of community empowerment programs. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, supported by source triangulation.
