Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus management compliance in the important aspect in controlling blood sugar levels. Compliance is inseparable from the knowledge and attitudes of individuals because these factors are the main drivers in shaping a behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of patients with adherence to diabetes mellitus management in a specific polyclinic in RSUP DR. M. Djamil Padang. This research was conducted in a special clinic for internal medicine Dr. M. Djamil Padang. This research is a quantitative research with crosssectional -conducted on 49 respondents using the purposive Sampling. The results of statistical tests using the chi-square obtained p value, namely 0.031 and 0.000, which means that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes of patients with adherence to diabetes mellitus management. It is hoped that health services can improve patient compliance in diabetes mellitus management through optimal health education programs.

Abstract

The Visual Infusion Phlebitis (VIP) scale is used to assess early signs of phlebitis. The number of phlebitis in Arosuka Hospital still exceeds the standard set at 1‰. This VIP scale training and socialization has not yet been given to nurses. This research aims to find out the influence of structured learning programs on the knowledge and skills of nurses in using the Visual infusion phlebitis (VIP) scale. Quasy eksperiment research type, posttest design–only non equivalent control group. The sample number of 66 respondents consisted of 33 intervention group respondents and 33 control group respondents with purposive sampling techniques. The results of the study averaged the knowledge of nurses intervention group 14, with a value range of 11-15, and the average control group of nurse knowledge 13, with a range of values 5-15. Average nurse skills in intervention group 8 with a range of grades 7-8, and the average control group nurse skills 7 with a range of grades 6-8. The results of the Mann-Whitney test showed a significant difference in the knowledge of nurses between the intervention group and the control group, p value = 0.022. There was a significant difference in the skills of nurses between the intervention group and the control group, p value = 0.001. It can be concluded that structured learning programs effectively improve the knowledge and skills of nurses in the use of VIP scales.. It is expected that there is the creation of SOP on the follow up sheet of infusion therapy.

Abstract

Citizenhip Organizational behavior (OCB) is a free behavior of individuals that are explicitly or indirectly recognized by the formal system and in the aggregate with affective and efficient functioning within an organization. With the increase organizational behavior citizenhip the nurse is able to do his work outside his job description. This study aims to know the culture of the organization as a mediating variable in the relationship with the organizational safety climate behavior citizenhip nurse. This research design correlation analysis, cross-sectional approach. Samples were 182 nurses with propposional random sampling. The research result is organizational culture nurses with an average of 4,22 categorized as excellent, nurse safety climate with an average of 4.00 considered good, organizational behavior citizenhip nurses with an average of 4.06 considered good. There is a relationship with the organizational safety climate citizenhip nurse behavior and organizational culture as a mediating variable of 47.3% in patient wards Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru. Suggestions for installation pelayanana is a need for supportive management of safety climate and soft skill training to improve organizational behavior citizenhip nurse
