Abstract

At present, technological progress is very rapid, including the advancement of smartphone use. Based on the results of observations of biology subjects the majority of students are passive, students feel saturated with conventional methods, students still depend on the delivery of material delivered by the teacher. Therefore, researchers used smartphones as a medium to support the learning process. This study used action research (PTK) design. The data were collection using quantitative tests of cognitive learning outcomes, qualitative observations and documentation files. The subjects of this study were 22 students. Based on the observations of the activities of students in cycles 1 and 2 there was an increase from 65.9% to 73.9% of active criteria, with an increasing percentage of 8%. learning outcomes were improved in cycles 1 and 2: cycle 1 (pretest) 36.8%, (post-test) 64.9%. the improvement of learning outcomes in cycle I and 2 was 4.3%, according to the results of the first cycle cognitive gain score test obtained 0.44 in medium criteria, the results of the second cycle cognitive gain score test obtained 0.45 in medium criteria. The improvement of cognitive test was 0.01. Based on these comparisons, it was concluded that E-Book media with EPUB extension could improve student learning activities and outcomes. Abstract

Coaching for Teaching is a strategic approach to teacher professional development, emphasizing reflective practice, empathy, and student empowerment. This community engagement initiative aimed to enhance teachers’ understanding, motivation, and skills in applying coaching principles to classroom instruction. The program was conducted at SMP Al Baitul Amien over 8 hours and involved 30 teacher participants. The training used lectures, simulations, and case studies. Evaluation was carried out using a Likert-scale questionnaire and open-ended questions. The results showed significant improvements in understanding of coaching principles (from 2.4 to 4.3), motivation to apply coaching (from 2.9 to 4.5), and coaching skills (from 2.2 to 4.0). Qualitative responses revealed that teachers gained deeper awareness of meaningful classroom relationships. The training proved effective as a teacher development model and is recommended for replication and further development through school-based learning communities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan rendahnya hasil belajar IPA pada materi sistem ekskresi murid kelas VIII B MTs Bustanul Ulum Panti. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari rendahnya hasil belajar murid dikarenakan kurangnya keterlibatan murid dalam proses pembelajaran dan belum terlaksananya pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan murid. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus. Siklus pertama dan kedua dilaksanakan masing-masing dua kali pertemuan Setelah penelitian dilakukan maka diperoleh hasil belajar murid pada pra siklus yaitu 46,15% (19,23% visual, 3,85% auditori, dan 23,07% kinestetik). Kemudian pada siklus pertama diperoleh hasil belajar secara klasikal sebanyak 57,68% (26,92% visual, 7,69% auditori dan 23,07% kinestetik) dengan rata-rata sebanyak 54,2307 sedangkan pada siklus kedua mencapai nilai 80,76% (38,46% visual, 15,38% auditori dan 26,92% kinestetik) dengan rata-rata sebanyak 71,5384. Dari hasil penelitian terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar murid setelah dilakukan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada materi sistem ekskresi.
