Abstract

Indonesia is a country with high sun exposure and the potential for high sun exposure. These rays are UVA (290-320) and UVB (320-400) rays which have both good and bad effects on humans. The formation of Vitamin D and provitamin D is a benefit, but with severe ozone depletion the UV rays produced can be harmful to human health and can cause cancer. Sunscreen which is used to protect the health of human skin from the negative effects of solar radiation and can absorb light exposure is often used in daily life as a cosmetic whose effectiveness in light absorption is based on the value of the sun protection factor (SPF), hereby to determine the value and category SPF value on sunscreen products with UV-Vis Spectrophotometry method to find out its effectiveness. By using the sampling method of Non Probability Sampling. In the determination, mixing 3 samples of sunscreen, the determination of this SPF value is a measure of the protection of sunscreen cream preparations against Ultraviolet rays. The higher the SPF value, the greater the protective effect against sunburn. The results obtained deviation of 1.04 with an average SPF in this study was 4.1 which was included in the SPF category with minimal protection.

Abstract

Asam sinamat merupakan senyawa metabolit sekunder yang memiliki aktivitas biologis sebagai antidiabetes. Asam sinamat memiliki kelarutan yang rendah sehingga perlu dikembangkan sebagai kokristal. Disisi lain, efektivitas kokristal asam sinamat terhadap aktivitas antidiabetes belum pernah dilaporkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui aktivitas asam sinamat dan kokristal asam sinamat – nikotinamida sebagai antidiabetes. Penelitian ini diawali dengan penyiapan ligan dengan Chem3D selanjutnya ligan dan logam tersebut disiapkan untuk penambatan molekular dengan AutoDock Tools. Proses penambatan molekular dilakukan dengan AutoDock Vina dan divisualisasikan dengan Discovery Studio. Hasil penambatan menunjukkan asam sinamat dan kokristal asam sinamat-nikotinamida berpotensi sebagai inhibitor enzim DPP-4 berdasarkan nilai energi bebas dan jarak ikatannya. Interaksi yang terbentuk terjadi pada sisi aktif ARG125, ARG125, GLU205, VAL88, ASP96, ILE102, dan ASP96 dengan ikatan yang terjadi adalah ikatan hidrogen. Ligan 3 memiliki sisi aktif untuk ikatan hidrogen dan nilai energi bebas paling negatif yaitu -6,928 Kcal/mol jika dibandingkan ligan 1 (-6,722 Kcal/mol) dan ligan 2 (-6.308 kcal/mol). Ligan 1 memiliki ikatan jarak ikatan terpendek yaitu 2,078 Å sedangkan ligan 3 memilki jarak ikatan lebih pendek yaitu 2,764 Å jika dibandingkan ligan 2 (2,197 Å). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan pembentukkan kokristal akan menambah sisi aktif sehingga reaksi yang terjadi lebih spontan dan lebih stabil.

Abstract

Kediri is the largest honey pineapple-producing area in East Java, so it has pineapple farmer groups. The honey pineapple farmer group called "Queens" is one of the pineapple farmer groups in Kediri that creates processed pineapple products such as fresh pineapple fruit, peeled pineapple, and pineapple drink. However, the group is facing an issue of pineapple skin waste that has yet to be utilized. Therefore, expanding pineapple products by using fruit and pineapple skin waste is crucial. One way to do this is by making eco-enzymes. The method used in this activity is a group-based activity method, carried out jointly between the activity team and the pineapple queens farmer group, starting from the planning, implementation, and mentoring to the monitoring and evaluation stages. Community service activities for the "Queens" pineapple farmer group have succeeded in making eco-enzymes from pineapple skin waste. Based on the results of the activity, this activity was able to increase the knowledge of the "Queens" pineapple farmer group, where 100% of the partners already knew the benefits of eco-enzymes and knew the tools and materials, and procedures used in making eco-enzymes from pineapple peels. This activity was also able to improve the skills of the partners of the "Queens" pineapple farmer group, where partners were able to make eco-enzymes from pineapple peel waste very well, starting from preparing tools and materials, mixing ingredients, to packaging eco-enzymes

Abstract

Food waste and tofu liquid waste have great potential to be used as raw materials for organic liquid fertilizer. Food waste contains essential nutrients, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, which plants need for optimal growth. Besides that, tofu liquid waste contains nutrients 1.24% N, 5.54% P2O5, 1.34% K2O, and 5.803% C-Organic which plants need so that tofu production wastewater potential to make organic fertilizer. The potential for tofu liquid waste and food waste around the Sardulo Seto youth group interested the PkM team in training on making organic liquid waste from food waste and tofu liquid waste. In this activity, several stages were carried out, namely (1) Training on Making Organic Liquid Fertilizer, (2) Assistance in the production of Liquid Organic Fertilizer, (3) Testing the Quality of Liquid Organic Fertilizer, and Testing the Growth of Chili Plants. The results show partners can improve partner understanding of utilizing waste and producing organic liquid fertilizer for food waste and tofu liquid waste very well. In addition, the results of the quality test of liquid fertilizer (PCT-14) showed pH 5, C-Organic contain 8.46%, N 4.71%, P2O5 5.78%, and K2O 2.13%. The results showed that chilies that had been treated with PCT-14 were taller than untreatted

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Pekerja pelapis logam telah menjadi bidang pekerjaan yang mengalami kemajuan karna sifat khas krom yang sangat tahan karat maka pelapisan logam mempunyai kelebihan tersendiri bila di bandingkan dengan pelapisan yang lainnya. Kromium (Cr) dapat mengganggu fungsi organ yang berkerja dalam proses metabolisme tubuh, dan dapat menyebabkan terjadinya kanker. Pada pekerja yang berada di lingkungan industri dan terpajan pada waktu yang lama, maka akan memiliki resiko yang tinggi mengalami masalah kesehatan. Pengukuran kadar (Cr) dapat menggunakan metode Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom (SSA) dengan preparasi sampel menggunakan metode destruksi basah. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui kadar kromium dalam rambut pekerja pelapis logam. Metode : Teknik pengambilan pada penelitian ini adalah total sampling dengan sampel 9 orang. Pada penelitian ini dibagi menjadi 3 tahap yaitu Tahap pengambilan sampel, Tahap destruksi sampel dan Tahap analisis kadar Pb dengan SSA Hasil : Pada rambut pekerja pelapis logam dengan beberapa periode lama bekerja 2-10 tahun sebanyak 6 sampel didapatkan hasil 0,522 ppm namun pada periode 2-4 tahun sebanyak 3 sampel yang tidak terdeksi adanya kadar kromium. Kesimpulan : Pada rambut pekerja pelapis logam ditemukan adanya kandungan kromium yang tidak melebihi angka normal sebesar 2–3 μg/L menurut Depkes, yaitu sebesar 0,522 ppm hal ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya kadar kromium dalam rambut masih di katakan normal.
