Abstract

penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan: (1) mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar siswa melalui pembelajaran menulis cerpen dengan media gambar terhadap siswa kelas X SMA Widya Kutoarjo tahun ajaran 2012/2013; (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan ke­mam­puan menulis cerpen dengan media gambar terhadap siswa kelas X SMA Widya Ku­toarjo tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan nontes. Da­lam teknik analisis data, peneliti menggunakan teknik kualitatif dan teknik kuantitatif. Teknik penyajian hasil analisis data digunakan adalah metode penyajian informal. Berda­sarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) media gambar berpengaruh ter­ha­dap motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen, perubahan positif aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran (siswa memperhatikan dan serius dalam me­ngikuti pembelajaran, siswa aktif menjawab dan bertanya apabila menemukan kesulit­an, siswa menulis cerpen dengan serius dan sikap yang baik); (2) hasil kemampuan me­nu­lis cerpen siswa mengalami peningkatan melalui media gambar, nilai rata-rata pada prasiklus sebesar 48,67, siklus I 56, dan siklus II sebesar 70. Abstract

Big data in the era of the industrial revolution can be an important source of information in various fields including agriculture. Agricultural commodity data from upstream to downstream becomes important information that will become knowledge in increasing productivity. Knowledge management can be an option in managing various agricultural commodity information. This study aims to describe the big data of agriculture which is the source of knowledge management in agricultural commodities. Agricultural commodities that can be managed big data in accordance with the Echelon I unit that oversees it can be in the form of food crops, horticultural crops, livestock and plantations. Bigdata management requires technology support and human resources management. Through knowledge management of agricultural commodities, various knowledge both tacit and explicit from within the institution itself will be well documented and beneficial to the institution. The implementation of knowledge management for agricultural commodities will go through a process of creating, storing knowledge, sharing knowledge and applying knowledge. The implementation of knowledge management must be supported by human resources (people), processes (processes) and technology (technology). Through the implementation of knowledge management in agricultural commodities will increase the role of libraries within the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture in supporting agricultural development. If so far the role of the library has not been taken into account, through knowledge management will become a reference in the development of agricultural commodities.

Abstract

This paper attempts to examine the correlation among linguistics and English language teaching in non-english speaking countries. Since it is a library research, the researchers gathered the information by using secondary sources. This paper generally consists of three parts. The first part defines general review of linguistics and language teaching. In general review of linguistics, the researchers describe the elements of linguistics, whereas in language teaching review, the skills of language are elaborated. The second part is about the historical connection between linguistics and language teaching. Menwhile, the last part discusses about the contribution of linguistics theories elements, and branches to language teaching. The result of this research discovers that linguistics theory, elements, and branches have an immense contribution to language teaching, and becomes an indispensable part of language learning.
