Abstract

Madrasah is part of educational organizations that provide Islamic education. Madrasah continues to innovate and reform in their implementation to become educational institutions that have advantages and can compete in the midst of globalization.. One form of effort to improve teacher performance is the actualization of madrasah organizational culture, which is reflected in aspects of values and norms that are believed to be true, attitudes and behavior of madrasah residents, and all habits traditions that are internalized with educational programs in Madrasah. This study aims to describe the organizational culture of madrasah by referring to the concept of theory, descriptive analysis to improve teacher performance. The method in this reseach used an approach mixed method. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, documentation, interviews, and observation instruments. The data are presented with quantitative descriptive analysis accompanied by qualitative descriptive analysis. Respondents and informants in this research were selected through cluster sampling, which consisted of madrasah principals, teachers, and private madrasah aliyah committees in Jepara. This study describes that the achievement of madrasah organizational culture in the dimensions of values, attitudes, and habits reaches an average value in the excellent category. It is necessary to increase the collaboration indicators between teachers and appreciate the performance. There are organizational cultural values that are believed to be a form of worship and a spirit of devotion (hidmah), and prioritize education based on exemplary, habituation of religious activities and the formation of ahlakul karimah.

Abstract

Teachers have a great responsibility towards the continuity of the learning process in school. Be aware or not, in addition to the tools and all things related to the teaching and success of educational goals, it turns out the personality of teachers is a very decisive success of learning. To avoid apathy and students' forced  obedience, the teacher should improve his personality competence, how a teacher can be a student learning partner, featuring a good personality that can serve as a role model for her students and become a driving force in learning. This research is a research with quantitative approach. The population of this study are all students of class VII SMPN 7 Kediri amounted to 317 students. While the sample in this study as many as 175 students. Sampling is determined by Random sampling technique. Data collection uses questionnaire and documentation method. While statistical data analysis uses product moment correlation formula. Based on the research results, it is obtained a conclusion that the personality competence of PAI teachers included in good category. Based on the results of correlation calculations, it can be deduced that there is a strong and significant correlation between the teacher's personality competence to student learning motivation. The magnitude of the correlation coefficient is 0.616, while the correlation significance results obtained the value of t count = 10.2858. The value is greater than t table = 1.654 at the error rate of 5%. While the determination coefficient test obtained results 0.3794.

Abstract

This study explains how to implement a scientific approach in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects. This research also explores several problems implementing a scientific approach to the issue of Islamic Religious Education. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. They are collecting data using interview documentation and observation. Researchers conducted semi-structured interviews to obtain comprehensive data—informants in research, among them school principals, PAI teachers, and students. Data validity and validity tests were conducted using source, technique, and time triangulation methods. Data analysis was carried out with data reduction, data presentation, and verification stages. The results of the study show that a scientific approach to Islamic subjects is carried out in the four fields of study, namely the study of the Al-Qur'an-Hadith, Akidah- Akhlak, Fiqh, and History of Islamic Culture. Learning activities are done by observing, asking, exploring, associating, and communicating. The scientific approach in PAI subjects can be applied with a material approach and a methodical approach. Islamic education material in the study of moral education, jurisprudence, and Islamic cultural history can be used with a material approach. In comparison, material for faith and faith can be applied methodically. The material approach provides a broader explanation related to social practices and contexts in everyday life. The method approach is carried out by directing students to explore the resources of teaching materials available in the library. There are several supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing the scientific approach, among them necessity Skills teachers to integrate PAI material and scientific knowledge, student readiness, learning media, and infrastructure.

Abstract

Mutu pembelajaran menjadi business core layanan lembaga pendidikan. Upaya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran memerlukan berbagai pendekatan dan quality control. Faktor kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam menjalankan fungsinya menjadi salah satu faktor yang memiliki kontribusi terhadap capaian mutu pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dimensi dan indikator kepemimpinan kepala madrasah, selanjutnya menganalisis kontribusi variabel kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah kepala madrasah dan guru pada 8 madrasah aliyah swasta di Jawa Tengah. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling sebanyak 160 responden. Selanjutnya peneliti melakukan analisis deskriptif statistik untuk mengukur subdimensi dan indikator pada variabel kepemimpinan dan mutu pembelajaran. Uji konfirmasi konstruk menggunakan confirmatory factor analysis pada persamaan struktural dengan software SmartPLS.30. Hasil penelitian mendeskripsikan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala madrasah direfleksikan dengan baik pada lima dimensi pembentuk, yaitu dimensi kepribadian, manajerial, supervisi, kewirausahaan dan sosial.  Dimensi kepribadian, manajerial dan supervisi memiliki kontribusi yang kuat dalam memprediksi peningkatan capaian mutu pembelajaran. Keteladanan dan integritas menjadi salah satu indikator pembentuk dimensi kepemimpinan kepribadian. Secara keseluruhan dimensi dan indikator pada variabel kepemimpinan kepala madrasah memiliki kontribusi yang positif dan signifikan terhadap capaian mutu pembelajaran dengan nilai koefisien jalur adalah 0,425 atau sebesar 42,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor kepemimpinan kepala madrasah.
