Abstract

This research aims to determine how the effect of family communication intensity atchildren’s knowledge level of pancana language. This research took place in Central Buton, Southeast Sulawesi. The type of research used by researchers is quantitative research methods using multistage random sampling techniques in determining samples. This research uses data collection methods using a questionnaire. In this study, the data collected through the questionnaire was then analyzed by using the SPSS program assistance. The results of the analysis of multiple linear regression tests to test the proposed hypothesis show that the value of Fcount>Ftable (40.9822> 2.402). From the results of the test it was concluded that the intensity of family communication simultaneously or jointly gave a positive and significant influence on the level of knowledge of children in pancana language.

Abstract

Multicultural society as a supporter of an intercultural communication that makes Balirejo Village community relations continues to run harmoniously even though they live side by side with different cultures. This study aims to determine the process of intercultural communication in the transmigration area by the people of Balirejo Village, Angkona District, South Sulawesi Province. To reveal this phenomenon, the author uses qualitative research methods using the social interaction model to see human behavior and interactions that can be distinguished because they are displayed through the communication process. To get the data, the writer uses three data collection techniques, namely observation, in-depth interviews and documentation review. The results of this study found that there has been a reciprocal adaptation between Javanese and Balinese ethnicities as immigrants in East Luwu Regency and residing in Balirejo Village. The existence of mutual respect and respect between ethnic groups allows each of these ethnic groups to carry out their respective cultures. People from ethnic Javanese and Balinese during the dialogue can use Javanese, Balinese or Indonesian with a typical East Luwu dialect. So far the relationship between the two ethnic groups has been going on without any significant obstacles because each ethnic group has accepted each other as they are.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental merupakan aspek kesehatan pada anak yang penting untuk dijaga karena dapat berdampak pada banyak aspek kehidupan anak. Komunikasi orang tua dianggap dapat memengaruhi Kesehatan mental anak. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi proses komunikasi orang tua pekerja dalam menjaga Kesehatan mental anak. Fokus penelitian ini terbagi menjadi dua permasalahan yaitu: i) Efektivitas komunikasi orang tua, dan ii) Pola komunikasi orang tua. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus untuk menggali informasi yang mendalam terkait komunikasi orang tua dengan anak mereka. Peneliti mewawancarai 5 informan yang telah memenuhi kriteria. Kriteria pemilihan informan berdasarkan pada jumlah jam kerja di atas 42 jam perminggu, mempunyai anak dengan rentang umur 5-18 tahun, mempunyai anak dengan karakterisitk menunjukkan gejala tidak sehat mental sesuai dengan SDQ (Strengths and Difficulties Quesionnaire), dan mempunyai anak yang berdomisili di Kota Makassar. Informan yang berjumlah 5 orang semuanya perempuan dan bekerja sebagai pegawai pemerintah, pedagang, pegawai bank, dan pegawai swasta. Wawancara dilakukan menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis tematik dalam menganalisis jawaban informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para orang tua mengalami dua kasus yang diidentifikasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu menerapkan komunikasi efektif dan menerapkan pola komunikasi dalam keluarga mereka. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penelitian selanjutnya yang dilakukan di kota lain dan dengan sampel yang lebih beragam lagi sebagai pembanding.

Abstract

This study aims to determine BCCT-based instructional communication (Beyond Center and Circle Time) on the character building of PGTK students of Bosowa Natural School in Makassar City, where BCCT is the teaching and learning process of teachers and students form a circle so that the teacher's position is in line with the child's view. The focus of the study in this study is instructional communication which can be seen from five assessment indicators, ranging from the specification of instructional content and objectives, initial behavioral assessment, strategy determination, instructional unit organization, and feedback. The character-building assessment is based on the vision of PGTK Sekolah Alam Bosowa, namely Smart, Islamic, Discipline, Innovative and Competitive. To answer this question, a quantitative approach is used with a population and a sample of 30 students using a non-probability sampling technique or a saturated sample technique as a draw for the population below 30. The data analysis uses simple regression analysis, determination test and ANOVA test as a benchmark for the level of influence on several independent sub-variables. The results of this study were obtained as follows: 1) there is a positive and significant influence of BCCT-based instructional communication on smart character building in students with the highest level of relationship, 2) there is no influence of BCCT-based instructional communication on Islamic character building in students, 3) there is a positive and significant influence of BCCT-based instructional communication on discipline character building in students but the relationship very low. 4) there is a positive and significant influence of BCCT-based instructional communication on innovative character building in students, 5) there is a positive and significant influence of BCCT-based instructional communication on the formation of competitive character in students.
