Abstract

Radicalism and anarchism can be carried out by students who are studying at public or private universities, especially in Serang City, Banten Province. The purpose of this study is to examine and improve the religiosity of university students in Serang City in countering radicalism and anarchism. The research used a qualitative approach with phenomenology as a method. The results of this study conclude that the religiosity of students in Serang City can be improved in several ways; carrying out periodical Islamic studies, istighasah (praying), learning to read and write the Qur'an, commemorating Islamic holidays, reviewing Islamic books, I’tikaf (staying) and taking care of the mosque, and going a pilgrimage. The role of universities in countering radicalism and anarchism, meanwhile, is by assigning Islamic religious education lecturers to guide and control the students to follow those activities.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan dalam lembaga pendidikan memiliki peran sentral dalam mengarahkan bawahan serta menyesuaikan diri terhadap perubahan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan. Gaya servant leadership di SMK berpengaruh terhadap kualitas lembaga, budaya organisasi, serta pencapaian visi dan misi sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus di SMK Nurul Ilmi Darunnajah 14. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai servant leadership yang diterapkan meliputi listening, empathy, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, foresight, stewardship, commitment to the growth of people, dan building community. Kesejahteraan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan mencakup kesejahteraan material (finansial) dan immaterial (nonfinansial). Penerapan servant leadership berdampak pada meningkatnya loyalitas, motivasi kerja, kepercayaan, kerja sama tim, serta keharmonisan di lingkungan sekolah. Faktor pendukung meliputi sarana prasarana, budaya pesantren yang kuat, komunikasi terbuka, komitmen pengembangan profesional, dan keteladanan kepala sekolah. Faktor penghambat antara lain perbedaan karakter pendidik, keterbatasan waktu pembinaan personal, kesenjangan pemahaman visi sekolah, serta beban kerja kepala sekolah yang tinggi. Upaya mengatasi hambatan dilakukan melalui empati dan kecerdasan emosional pemimpin, kepemimpinan visioner, keteladanan (uswatun hasanah), serta motivasi untuk membangun keharmonisan di sekolah.
