Abstract

This study aims to identify the extent to which S1 Mathematics Education students have pedagogic and professional competencies that are in accordance with educator standards. Pedagogic and professional competencies are the two main components that must be possessed by prospective educators in order to carry out their duties optimally. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method with the research subject consisting of 110 students of the Mathematics Education Study Program consisting of 3 classes with different lecturers. The data collection technique used in this study is in the form of a test, the test used is in the form of an objective test in the form of multiple choice to gain a deep understanding of pedagogic and professional competence. The results of this study were obtained, the pedagogic competence of S1 students of the mathematics education study program as prospective educators was 80.12 with a good category. The highest score for students' pedagogic competence is found in the aspects of classroom management and effective assessment. Meanwhile, the professional competency score of S1 students of the mathematics education study program as prospective educators is 80.42 with a good category. The highest score for student professional competence is found in indicators using algebraic concepts and using patterns and functions with very good scores. The conclusion of this study is that the pedagogic and professional competence in S1 mathematics education students as prospective educators is classified as a good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan implementasi metode pembelajaran interaktif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kolaborasi peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTs. Negeri 1 Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan meliputi guru Akidah Akhlak, peserta didik, dan wakil kepala madrasah bidang kurikulum. Data dianalisis melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta diuji melalui triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diskusi kelompok, jigsaw, tutor sebaya, role playing, cerita berantai, video, PowerPoint, dan LKS mendorong peserta didik lebih aktif bekerja sama, berkomunikasi, berbagi tugas, menghargai pendapat, dan bertanggung jawab dalam kelompok.

Abstract

The portfolio-based assessment model is an approach in assessing students’ performance. And the development students’ affective domain is the process of collecting data and information by using instrument about attitudes, values, personality, and students’ morals both in learning and outside learning. The objective of this research is to identify and analyze The portfolio-based assessment model in developing students’ affective domain, as well as to be a reference for the next research. The method used in this research was a qualitative method with a naturalistic and psychological approach. The results of this research indicated that the The portfolio-based assessment model has its own assessment adventages from other assessments, but in general The portfolio-based assessment applied at the Hubulo Islamic Boarding Schoolnhas not been able to improve the development of student’ affective domain. This happens because The portfolio-based assessment model at the Hubulo Islamic Boarding School was very rigid and inflexible, while the time for developing students’ affective domain was very low so that the goals of developing students’ affective domain were not maximally achieved. The difference between this research and the previous one was the research location and the object under studied.
