Abstract

Increasing national sporting achievements will run well if it starts from the lower levels, namely districts and cities. From Kota Pariaman's participation in Porprov, Kota Pariaman has never once reached the best position (rank 1) in terms of medals, and has never even entered the top 10. Based on the results of interviews and observations in the field, there were findings that coaches' understanding of athlete coaching patterns was still low, especially in long-term coaching. The coach's lack of knowledge about athlete development can ultimately lead to the coach's inability to create training programs for long-term coaching. The approach method used in solving partner problems is 1) Workshop in order to increase the knowledge and understanding of trainers in long-term coaching patterns by providing material on Long Term Athlete Development and 2) Follow-up discussions in the context of monitoring and evaluation. The result of this activity is an increase in trainers' knowledge and understanding in creating long-term coaching programs.

Abstract

This study addresses the low motivation of elementary students in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) caused by conventional teaching methods. It aims to develop a game-based locomotor movement learning media for Public Elementary School 07 Tiumang, Dharmasraya Regency. A Research and Development (R&D) design was applied using the ADDIE model, with needs analysis, media design, expert validation, classroom implementation, and evaluation. Expert validation covered media, material, and language aspects, while student responses assessed practicality. Results showed high validity: media 96.25%, material 95.42%, and language 84.44%, and high practicality with 99% positive student responses, indicating the media is feasible and engaging. This game-based media supports student-centered learning, increases motivation and participation, and provides PJOK teachers with a practical tool to enhance learning quality in elementary school contexts.

Abstract

This study aimed to conduct a needs analysis for developing a football shooting training program by profiling lower-limb explosive power, foot–eye coordination, and concentration among extracurricular football students at SMKN 1 Sijunjung. Thirty students with at least six months of regular training participated in purposive sampling. Explosive power was assessed using the Vertical Jump Test, coordination with the Foot–Eye Coordination Test, concentration with the Grid Concentration Test, and shooting ability with a standardized shooting test. Data were analyzed descriptively, using normative categorization, gap analysis, and a Need Priority Index (NPI) to identify training priorities. Results showed most students scored low across lower-limb power (63%), coordination (58%), concentration (71%), and shooting ability (68%), with the largest gaps in concentration, explosive power, and coordination. The NPI indicated a structured, progressive training approach prioritizing mental focus, neuromuscular power, and coordination before technical shooting development. These findings provide empirical guidance for targeted, evidence-based interventions in youth football training.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a Pencak Silat catching technique model based on the 2022 competition rules. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The study was conducted at UPTD KBOR Dispora Sumatera Barat, involving seven expert validators and fifteen athletes as respondents. Data were collected using validation sheets and response questionnaires, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that the developed model achieved a validation score of 95.57%, categorized as very feasible. Athlete responses also indicated a very high level of acceptance, with an average score of 97.78%. These findings demonstrate that the model is valid and practical as a learning medium to support athletes in understanding and applying catching techniques based on updated competition rules. Therefore, the developed model can be effectively used in Pencak Silat training.
