Abstract

Abstract

The transformation of digital education presents both challenges and opportunities for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, particularly in shaping students’ character. This study aims to examine the impact of learning digitalization on the role of PAI teachers, the challenges they face in mastering technology, and the strategies for developing digital-based learning at Tahfizhul Quran Al Kautsar School in Klaten. This research employs a qualitative case study approach through interviews, observations, and documentation conducted in June 2025. The findings indicate that digitalization has shifted the role of teachers to become more active facilitators. However, challenges such as low digital literacy and limited infrastructure remain significant obstacles. Solutions include training, the development of Islamic digital teaching materials, the use of appropriate platforms, and communication with students’ guardians. Collaboration among teachers, schools, and relevant stakeholders is essential to create innovative yet value-driven Islamic education.

Abstract

This study examines the use of creative–interactive Islamic Education (PAI) strategies through social projects in a junior high school context. The approach aims to internalize religious values, increase student engagement, and align learning with the human-centered principles of Society 5.0. An exploratory qualitative single-case study was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah Panggang involving 11 participants (two teachers and nine students) selected through purposive maximum variation sampling. Data were obtained from interviews, observations, and learning artifacts, and were analyzed thematically with credibility ensured through member checking and an audit trail. The findings show that social projects shifted PAI learning from passive knowledge delivery to an action–reflection–meaning cycle. Students displayed strong participation, collaboration, creativity, and improved digital skills through poster production, slogan creation, and video documentation. The value “cleanliness is part of faith” was internalized and sustained in daily behavior. Teachers considered this strategy highly suitable for Generation Z and consistent with Society 5.0, although successful implementation requires coordination, adequate time, and standardized authentic assessment.

Abstract

Digital-based gymnastics learning media is one of the efforts to achieve effective and efficient learning goals, especially in the rolling front round material. Therefore, this study aims to develop digital-based gymnastics learning media on rolling front round material which contains a direct assistance approach and indirect assistance approach. This research is a research and development that aims to produce and test the effectiveness of the product. This research consists of several stages, namely product design, product testing, and product implementation. A total of 45 gymnastics students at the department of sports education, faculty of sports science, Padang State University were used as research samples. 15 of them were used for small group trials, and 30 for large group trials. This research also involves material experts and media experts to validate the products developed. Expert validation results obtained an average of 83.33 or very good (material experts 80.00 and media experts 86.67). Meanwhile, the results of field trials obtained an average of 88.06 or showed a very high level of reliability (small group 88.90 and large group 87.23). In conclusion, this developed media can be used as a tool in learning gymnastics, whether it is used for physical education teachers, students, and athletes to improve round front rolling skills. Future research is needed to involve other materials in gymnastics learning with an attractive design and appearance, as well as a wider sample size.
