Abstract

This research aims to find out how the implementation of school-based management model (MBS). The research was conducted at the Cape End TPI MTsS This study used a qualitative research. It is based on the consideration that this study revealed the implementation model of school-based management (SBM). Qualitative research is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of words - words written or spoken of - people whose behavior can be understood. The subject of research directed to the search data from principals, vice-principals, teachers, and staff at the Cape End MTsS TPI. The data collection was obtained by observation, interview and document research. The findings of this study as follows: 1) the perception of the principal on MBS model application. 2) the pattern of school leadership in MBS. 3) application of management functions in the activities - activities pendidikan.4) MBS models in the improvement of education management.

Abstract

Riset ini berorientasi untuk menganalisis dampak gaya kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah terhadap motivasi kerja guru di SMK Setia Budi Binjai. Kepemimpinan transformasional yang mengakomodasi dimensi idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, dan individualized consideration dipersepsikan berpotensi mengkonstruksi atmosfer kerja yang kondusif bagi akselerasi motivasi guru. Penelitian mengoperasionalisasikan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi sekaligus sampel berjumlah 40 guru melalui teknik total sampling. Akuisisi data diimplementasikan menggunakan kuesioner, kemudian dianalisis melalui regresi linier sederhana dan verifikasi hipotesis disertai uji normalitas, linearitas, serta homogenitas. Output penelitian menunjukkan nilai t_hitung sebesar 6,255 lebih superior dibandingkan t_tabeI pada threshold signifikan 0,05 yaitu 2,028, sehingga H₀ direjeksi dan H_a terakuisisi. Temuan empiris tersebut menegaskan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja guru. Implikasi riset ini mengindikasikan bahwa implementasi kepemimpinan transformasional secara konsisten dapat mengoptimalkan komitmen dan performa guru, serta menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan kepemimpinan sekolah untuk mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di SMK Setia Budi Binjai

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of principal supervision in improving effective learning among teachers at SMKS Budi Utomo Binjai. The problem addressed in this research is the suboptimal effectiveness of classroom learning, which is indicated by limitations in instructional organization, communication, classroom management, and the use of varied learning methods. The purpose of this study is to analyze how principal supervision is planned, implemented, evaluated, and adapted to teachers with different professional backgrounds in order to enhance effective learning. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, and documentation related to supervision activities. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source triangulation. The findings indicate that effective supervision is achieved through structured planning, direct classroom observation, collaborative and humanistic approaches, and continuous follow-up in the form of coaching and training. In addition, adaptive supervision strategies tailored to teachers’ varying competencies contribute to improved teaching practices, increased student engagement, and the emergence of instructional innovations. Overall, principal supervision plays a strategic role in improving the quality and effectiveness of learning at the school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's management strategies in improving student learning achievement, which include planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising all school programs. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation conducted with the principal and teachers at the school being the object of the study. The results of the study indicate that the principal has implemented management strategies through the preparation of a systematic school work plan, proportional distribution of teacher tasks, implementation of directed teaching and learning activities, and regular supervision of program implementation. The implementation of these strategies has an impact on increasing teacher discipline, creating a conducive work climate, and improving student learning achievement. However, the implementation of management strategies still faces obstacles such as limited facilities and a lack of leadership training for principals.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers in enhancing student creativity in the learning process, the factors that support and hinder this role, and how teachers apply learning to encourage creativity in the learning process at SMKS Setia Budi Binjai. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study are teachers and students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion formulation. The results of the study indicate that teachers at SMKS Setia Budi Binjai actively fulfill their roles by using various learning methods, creative tools, and providing space for students to explore. Supporting factors include adequate school facilities, a conducive classroom environment, and students' enthusiasm for learning. Inhibiting factors involve limited time, varying student abilities, and students’ lack of confidence. The learning implementation is active and participatory, encouraging students to think creatively through discussions, projects, and presentations.
