Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving young papaya fruit extracts (Carica papaya L) in feed on growth and survival of Tilapia (Oreochromis nioticus). The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 (three) treatments. Treatment A feeding with the addition of papaya fruit extract 1 gr/kg, treatment B 1.5 gr/kg, and treatment C 2 gr/kg. The parameters observed were relative weight growth, survival and water quality. The results showed that feeding with the addition of young papaya fruit extracts gave a significant effect on the growth of tilapia seeds where the highest treatment was in treatment C (2 gr/kg) of 100.14% followed by treatment B (1.5 gr/kg) of 86.29% and treatment A (1 gr/kg) of 58.18%. Based on the results of follow-up tests between treatments given showed a significant difference between treatments. This means that the more extracts given are the better for increasing the growth of tilapia. The survival of tilapia seeds were 100% in each treatment. Water quality was in the range that can still be tolerated by Tilapia seeds. Keywords : Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), Carica papaya L, feed, growth.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of fermentation time with the addition of Boster Aquaenzym and EM-4 in commercial feed to increase growth and efficiency of feed utilization of Papuyu fish (Anabas testudineus) and to determine the right time to increase growth and efficiency of Papuyu fish (Anabas testudineus. The method used is carried out by fermenting commercial feed for different lengths of time, namely treatment A for 3 days, treatment B for 5 days and treatment C for 7 days. The results of this study showed that commercial fermented feed had the highest value in treatment C for 7 days with the highest value of weight growth. in treatment C (7,63) and feed utilization efficiency with the highest value in treatment C (95,91%). The addition of Boster Aquaenzym and EM-4 in fermented commercial feed proved to be good for growth and good feed quality. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using lysine added to commercial feed on the growth of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) seeds, and to determine the effective lysine dose to increase the growth and efficiency of feed utilization in Tilapia seeds. This research was conducted for 42 days of maintenance. The method used in this study is an experimental method. With a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used were the addition of 0 grams of lysine, 1.5 grams, 2 grams, and 2.5 grams to the feed. The results of this study were that the addition of lysine to commercial feed had a very significant effect on weight and length growth and feed conversion ratio, but did not affect EPP and SR of Tilapia seeds. Treatment C (2 grams of lysine) gave the best performance values in weight and length growth, and FCR of 7.13 grams, 3.67 cm, and 1.01 grams, respectively. The value of water quality parameters during the study was still within the tolerance range to support the life and growth of Tilapia seeds. Keywords : Lysine, growth, Tilapia, feed utilization.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to know the herbal plants which effective to increase the survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) seed. The treatments of this experiment were addition of extract ciplukan leaf, sweet potato leaf, betel leaf, and without addition extract herbal as control. The results of this study showed that the use of extract of ciplukan leaf, and sweet potato leaf 5ml/L in rearing media during acclimatization could increase the survival of tilapia seed. Key words : Oreochromis niloticus, ciplukan leaf, sweet potato leaf, betel leaf, survival rate.

Abstract

The ability of fish to digest food is highly dependent on the completeness of the digestive organs and the availability of digestive enzymes and as long as the feed is in the fish's intestines, the nutrients are digested by various enzymes into a form that can be absorbed by the intestinal wall and enter the fish circulatory system. Therefore, it is necessary to find alternative solutions, one of which is the addition of enzymes to optimize the digestion and absorption of feed, high digestibility will have an impact on the high efficiency of feed utilization. This study aims to determine the effect of the bromelin enzyme feed on the growth and efficiency of feed utilization and to determine how many bromelin doses can increase the growth and feed efficiency of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The results of this study are expected to provide an overview of the appropriate dose of addition of bromelin enzymes in commercial feed used to increase the growth of tilapia. This study used a completely randomized design (RAL) consisting of 4 treatments (A, B, C, and D) and 3 replications (1, 2, and 3), treatment A used bromelin enzymes with a dose of 5 gr/kg of feed, treatment B used the bromelin enzyme at a dose of 10 g/kg of feed, treatment C used the bromelin enzyme at a dose of 15 g / kg of feed and treatment D as a control (without the addition of bromelin enzymes). Feeding with the addition of bromelin enzymes in tilapia feed shows that feeding containing bromelin enzymes has a very significant effect on growth in absolute weight (.001), absolute length (.000), efficiency of feed utilization (EPP) (.001), but had no significant effect on feed conversion value (FCR) (.064) and survival(0.571) Keywords : Tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus), Bromelin enzyme, growth, feed efficiency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the addition of Pluchea indica less leaves extracts to the optimal feed and dosage in commercial feed on growth and survival rate (survival) of catfish seedlings. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 (three) treatments, namely treatment P1 Feeding with the addition of leaf extracts of Pluchea indica less as much as 5 ml / kg of feed, P2 treatment 10 ml / kg of feed and P3 treatment of 15 ml / kg of feed. The parameters observed were relative weight growth, survival rates (survival). The results showed that the administration of Pluchea indica less leaves to the feed had a significant effect on the growth of Catfish (Pangasius hypopthalamus) seeds where the highest treatment was in the P3 (15 ml / kg of feed) treatment of 100.13% followed by P2 (10 ml / kg of feed treatment) ) amounting to (80.35%) and treatment P1 (5 ml / kg of feed) amounting to (58.12%). Abstract

This study aims to determine the body resistance of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) provided feed containing ciplukan (Physalis angulata L) leaf extract tested in low water quality. The study used an experimental method in which fish are given feed containing ciplukan leaf extract at a dose of 25 ml / kg of feed, and then tested in low pH water, to see the survival rate of the fish with a long testing time 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours. The results showed that the administration of feed containing leaf extract can increase their endurance ciplukan tilapia, where the highest value in the treatment of 2 hours (95.56%) and the lowest at 6-hour treatment (77.78%). Fish were fed with ciplukan leaf extract at low water quality gives a real impact on the survival rate of fish. The longer testing process led to increase mortality rate. The body resistance of fish can be maintained by adding extracts of ciplukan leaf in feed continuously to provide body resistance to low water quality or water quality changes caused by weather.
