Abstract

One of the slum areas in Makassar City is Sengkabatu Village which needs to be optimized for settlement arrangement. This is expected to improve society's economic and social sectors by the 2015-2034 Makassar City Spatial Plan. This area is included in the strategic space from the point of view of functional importance and environmental carrying capacity for the development, improvement, consolidation, and rehabilitation of the Tallo River strategic area. Residential issues are also inseparable from the life of the people of Sengkabatu Village. Therefore the design of a growing house is one of the ideas for housing problems on limited land where this growing house grows based on the needs of residents. The people of Sengkabatu Village also hope that there will be changes in the arrangement of the village that do not only focus on the construction sector. The concept of a Tourism Village, which focuses on water tourism, culinary tourism, and village tourism is one of the ideas which can be a plan that can improve the quality of life of the Sengkabatu people and improve the Tallo River ecosystem.

Abstract

Beef is one of the main staples in Indonesia. This is evidenced by the demand for beef which continues to increase every year, this is not matched by the supply of beef. The breeders are increasingly having difficulty getting adequate land areas for livestock locations and there is still a lack of knowledge about clean and modern farm rearing processes. Makassar City, which is the capital city of South Sulawesi Province with a population of more than 1.5 million people, along with the increase in population in Makassar City, meat consumption also continues to increase with an average meat consumption reaching 15-20 tons of meat. The farm system, which still relies on traditional methods of raising cattle, cannot meet the demand for beef in Makassar City. The presence of this modern farm will increase the supply of meat in Makassar City by accommodating the number of cattle in Makassar City, of course with a breeding process in order to maintain the existing cattle population. The design of this farm applies the concept of eco-friendly architecture, which focuses on waste management, lighting and natural ventilation as a zero waste effort in the farm area.

Abstract

_ Art is an inherent part of humanity; where there are people, art exists. An Arts Building is a venue that showcases various art forms and serves as a source of information, knowledge, education, and recreation in Bone Regency. As development increases, so does pollution. Therefore, it is essential to design buildings that can mitigate or minimize this pollution while functioning effectively, such as by creating environmentally friendly buildings. This research was conducted descriptively through a literature review, collecting information and data from books and the internet relevant to the research topic. The results show that designing an Arts Building with a biomimicry architectural approach using natural strategies is a suitable solution. One application of the biomimicry concept is the use of self-cleaning materials. The addition of TiO2 (Titanium Dioxide) to building materials aims to decompose harmful elements in the surrounding environment through a photocatalysis process similar to that in plants.

Abstract

Travel is very important to reduce stress because traveling is now one of the most popular things among daily activities. South Sulawesi is one of the provinces in Indonesia whose tourism sector is growing rapidly. Sembilan Island, which consists of nine small islands or islets, is located in Sinjai Regency and is one of the places to visit in South Sulawesi. This island is only 12 miles from the center of Sinjai City. In the process of designing a resort hotel, it is important to understand the design approach needed and the design foundations needed. The research methods used are data collection methods and data analysis methods. Data collection methods consist of field surveys, literature research, and precedent research, while data analysis methods are processing or analyzing data that has been collected to help the next planning process. These two methods will help determine the formulation of the problem and how the principles of green building design are implemented through the EDGE method. The results of this study aim to apply design with site analysis that meets so as to produce building design output that can adapt to the surrounding environment. From the research results, it can also be concluded that in this research process, it will be carried out as a design method for the design of the Larea-rea Island resort hotel in Sinjai Regency with the theme of applying the EDGE method, which applies the principle of green building to create sustainable and environmentally friendly buildings using renewable energy, namely solar photovoltaic with a roof area of 1,032.79 m² and a power of 150.99 kWp; the second is material efficiency, namely the use of light steel and wood materials on the roof of the building; and the third is water saving, namely grey water wastewater treatment.
