Abstract

Hepatitis B vaccine is mandatory for every child. The purpose of this study was to determine what factors caused the low coverage of hepatitis B immunization in the working area of ​​the Hutaimbaru Public Health, North Padang Lawas Regency. The design of this study used an analytic survey with a cross sectional study design. The sample in this study were mothers who had children under five in the working area of ​​the Hutaimbaru Public Health, North Padang Lawas Regency, namely 50 mothers who had toddlers who were obtained using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using chi-square statistics and logistic regression. The results showed that there were influences of knowledge, culture, ease of access, husband's support, equipment and health promotion, religious leaders, health workers and the low coverage of Hepatitis B immunization in the Hutaimbaru Health Center, Padang Lawas Utara Regency. The variable that is most associated with the low coverage of Hepatitis B immunization in the Hutaimbaru Public Health, North Padang Lawas Regency is the support variable of religious leaders. The suggestion in this research is that it needs research on local people's perceptions about certain immunizations or vaccines. Identification of local issues and key influencers is important to increase confidence in the immunization program.

Abstract

Supervision and evaluation is an important part of management to be able to manage professional nursing care, therefore as a nursing leader must have the ability to carry out supervision and evaluation. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the implementation of nursing supervision in the integrated inpatient room at H. Adam Malik Hospital, Medan. The research design used was qualitative research. The research informant was the head of the nursing field, the head of the room, the nursing committee and the implementing nurse. Interview data collection techniques, the data obtained were validated by means of triangulation of data sources. The results showed that the implementation of nursing supervision was based on planning as a reference and included in the activity agenda. There is no organizational structure yet, but it is carried out according to the duties and functions of each unit. Directions are carried out on an ongoing basis, supervision is carried out to avoid service errors to patients, evaluation of poor performance is carried out by coaching, and the recording and reporting system is running well. The conclusion of the informant that the implementation of nursing supervision in planning, organizing, guiding, directing, monitoring, evaluating, recording and reporting systems has been going well. Suggestions to the hospital can be used as a reference in the implementation of supervision and can be maintained or can be improved again.Keywords: implementation, organizing, directing, supervising nursing supervision

Abstract

Health services are one's expectations of the quality obtained in accordance with the desired expectations, such as health services, there are services in hospitals that include customers, such as patients for treatment from doctors in hospitals where patients get the best service from the hospital. The aim of the study was to determine the factors that influence the quality of service at the Pidie Jaya Hospital, Pidie Jaya Regency. The research design uses a quantitative method which is carried out by an analytical survey with a Cross Sectional Study approach. The population in this study were all outpatients with a total of 6,685 patients. The sample used random sampling technique as many as 99 patients. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The results showed that there was an effect of technical competence p = 0.000, efficiency p = 0.000, effectiveness p = 0.000, satisfaction p = 0.000 and patient safety p = 0.000 on the quality of service in Pidie Jaya Hospital, Pidie Jaya Regency. While the most dominant factor is satisfaction p = 0.000 and 95% CI = 5,389-316,539 with OR = 41,154.The conclusion from this study is that there is an influence of technical competency, efficiency, effectiveness, satisfaction, and patient safety on service quality in Pidie Jaya Hospital, Pidie Jaya Regency. It is recommended for the hospital to adopt policies in order to improve the quality of hospital services in order to produce optimal performance such as conducting training for health workers in hospitals based on their competence and conducting supervision and monitoring so that implementation in the field can run optimally.
