Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and describe: (1) Various efforts made by Islamic education teachers to habituation students to prayer in congregation at SMP Negeri 2 Liliriaja; (2) the implications of prayer in congregation for the personality of students at SMP Negeri 2 Liliriaja; and (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors faced by Islamic education teachers in habituating students to prayer in congregation at SMP Negeri 2 Liliriaja. The type of research used is qualitative. The use of this type of research is because data analysis does not require statistical measurements. The data is focused on the perceptions and experiences of Islamic education teachers in SMP Negeri 2 Liliriaja as informants. Data is described as is without engineering from the researcher. The data analysis technique is descriptive with three stages that are related to each other, namely data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results of the study showed that the efforts of Islamic Education teachers to habituate students for prayer in congregation were through exemplary education, habituation education, education with advice, education with demonstration, and education with practice. Praying in congregation influences the personality building of students at SMP Negeri 2 Liliriaja. This is evident from students who diligently perform prayers in congregation in schools' musallah, have good behavior, speak softly, and behave politely, both to the teacher and to fellow students. Supporting factors in habituating students with congregational prayer are the availability of worship facilities such as ablution places and musallah at school. The inhibiting factor is that some students are less aware of the importance of prayer and some parents pay less attention to their children regarding the importance of prayer.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the dimensions of multicultural values in fiqh learning at MTs DDI Kaballangang, Pinrang Regency; (2) describe the process of internalizing multicultural values in fiqh learning at MTs DDI Kaballangang, Pinrang Regency; and (3) analyzing the results of internalizing multicultural values in fiqh learning at MTs DDI Kaballangang, Pinrang Regency. The type of research is qualitative with pedagogical, psychological, and philosophical approaches. The data source consisted of documents and resource persons from the leaders and Fiqh teachers of MTs DDI Kaballangang, Pinrang Regency. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data display, and conclusions drawing. The results showed that the dimensions of multicultural values in fiqh learning in MTs DDI Kaballangang were tolerance values, equality rights, brotherhood values, justice values, and social ethical values. The process of internalizing multicultural values in fiqh learning at MTs DDI Kaballangang by promoting values of tolerance and not fanatical, being inclusive, not discriminating, teaching the background of the emergence of differences, ethics in addressing differences, and prioritizing the values of peace and unity. Internalization of multicultural values in fiqh learning at MTs DDI Kaballangang has implications for the development of three areas of student competency: 1) Attitudes, namely cultural awareness and sensitivity, and responsiveness to culture; (2) knowledge, namely knowledge about the language and culture of others, the ability to analyze and translate cultural behavior, and knowledge of cultural awareness; and (3) skills, namely skills to avoid conflict and the ability to correct distortions, stereotypes, and misconceptions about ethnic groups.
