Abstract

Introduction: dental caries is a of infection diseases which destructive to structures teeth that causes hollow teeth. If not addressed, disease is causing pain, the calendar teeth, infection , various cases dangerous , and even death. Known that this case still highest in Asia. Purpose: to identify the correlation of mother knowledge level with the dental caries on child who are both in primary school. Method: the study is done by using the method descriptive a correlation in public primary schools no.066049 Bunga Raya, Helvetia Medan in December 2016. Samples to research consisting of 70 people mother with choose samples to cover by using tekhnik purposive sampling and analysis chi square. Result: the results of the study conducted with p value = 0.00 this showed that there was relations of mother knowledge level to dental caries on child. Conclusion: there was a correlation mother knowledge level to dental caries on child in public primary schools.

Abstract

Lumbar spondyloarthrosis is low back pain caused by degeneration of the discs, facet joints in the lumbar, so that there is pressure on the intervertebral foramen which will cause osteophytes where this causes irritation, it will cause tissue inflammation or can also occur pressure on the cauda equine. In other conditions, pain can also be caused by spasm of the muscles causing ischemia, ischemia causes pain.Perpuse: the aim of this study is analyzed effect of Core Stability and Micro Wave Diathermy to reduce pain on patients with Lumbar Spondyloarthrosis.Method: Design of this study is a eksperimental studyPre and Post Test Group Design without control group, used a total sampling teqhniqe and 12 respondents. Before and after is done intervention, measurement of pain scale of respondens. Result: Wilcoxon range test is analized data in this study with p value = 0.002 ( p<0.05).It is mean, there is a significant effect of Core Stability and Micro Wave Diathermy to reduce pain on patients with Lumbar Spondyloarthrosis. Conclusion:conclusion of this study are the core stability exercise and micro wave diathermy can reduce pain in patients with lumbar spondyloarthrosis. The suggestion in this study is to increase the number of respondents for the further reseaerch so they can represent a wider representative.

Abstract

Background: Breast cancer is group of abnormal cells in the breast that continue to grow multiply. Mastectomy is one of the options for surgical action in breast cancer. In patients who will undergo mastectomy, all breast tissue and axillary lymph nodes are suspected. Surgery will cause psychological disorders in the form of anxiety that can lead to complications during surgery. One way to reduce anxiety is through the provision of aromatherapy, especially aromatherapy lavender, which is known to be sedative. Purpose: the aims to determine the effect of aromatherapy on anxiety scale in pre mastectomy patients. Method: this study was used a quasi-experimental research design with the one group pre- and post-test without control method. Determination of sample size was using purposive sampling teqniuqe with 15 respondents. The instrument to assess anxiety is the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). Data from the research results were analyzed by statistical tests, namely the Wilcoxon test. Results: this study show that there is a significant effect of pre- and post-administration of aromatherapy of lavender flowers to decrease the level of anxiety in patients with pre-mastectomy with p value (p = 0,001) <0.05. Conclussion: the granting of aromatherapy lavender can reduce of anxiety levels in patients with pre-mastectomy which means a decline in the level of anxiety after the administration of aromatherapy lavender flowers in patients with pre-mastectomy. The results of study are expected to be used as recommendations for health workers, especially the profession of a nurse to handle the patient's anxiety.
