Abstract

AbstractRevealing potential prosperity of a region through language, especially in lexicon, is urgentlyneeded. By doing this, it can be acknowledged that a certain region has natural source or has thehuman resources in processing those sources. A language can describe the potential prosperity of aregion. It is described from its vocabulary. An ethnic would be formulated by the lexicon masteringwhen it is applied in certain situation. This formula has been applied into the ethnic of Kaili whobecome the biggest ethnic in central of Sulawesi. The method which is applied in this paper isqualitative descriptive. The result shows that there are lexicons in Kaili language which havereflected the power of its society and the prosperity Central of Sulawesi. A wealth of biodiversity nonbiodiversity that mirror in Lexicon Kaili are mine, farm, plantation, gain of forest, and fishery. AbstrakPotensi kekayaan suatu daerah melalui bahasa, khususnya leksikon, sangat perlu diungkap.Dengan begitu, dapat diketahui suatu daerah tertentu memiliki kekayaan alam atau kemampuanmengolah hasil alam secara tepat. Hal ini tercermin dari penggunaan kosakatanya. Sebuah etnik akanterpolakan dari penguasaan leksikon yang digunakan dalam hal tertentu. Hal itu akan diungkap padaleksikon BK. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil pembahasanmenunjukkan bahwa leksikon-leksikon dalam bahasa mencerminkan kekayaan hayati dan nonhayatiSulawesi Tengah. Keaneragaman hayati dan nonhayati yang tercermin dalam leksikon BK adalahkeanekaragaman tambang, pertanian, perkebunan, hasil hutan, peternakan, dan perikanan.

Abstract

CURSING is a verbal expression which we encounter in daily life. This writing aimsat describing the cursing in Kaili language using descriptive qualitative method.The result shows that there are two kinds of cursing in Kaili language. Firstly,the cursing that is based on the references, namely a) situations, b) animals, c)things, d) body parts, e) kinship, f) ghosts, g) activities, h) appellations, and i)phatic words. Secondly, based on its functions the cursing in Kaili language canbe used to express anger, dejection, disappointment, astonishment, contempt orharassment, sense of humor, and warning.

Abstract

The problems in this study are the types, meanings, and forms of affixes marking the Tialo language verbs. This study aims to describe the types, meanings, and forms of the Tialo language, including prefixes, suffixes, infixes, and confixes. The method used is a qualitative method. This study used the observing and speaking methods, with tapping techniques, proficient involvement techniques, proficient free observing techniques, fishing techniques, all-encompassing techniques, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is the distributional and equivalent method using the smallest element breakdown technique. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, it was found that affixes are markers for Tialo language verbs which include: Prefixes {moN-}, {non-}, {meN-}, {neN}, {poN-}, {peN-}, {in-}, and {te-}. {in-} infix. Suffixes {i-} and {a'a}. Confixes {moN-a'a} {noN-a'a}, {meN-a'a}, {meN-omo}, {nen-omo}, {poN-omo} and {moN-i}. The meaning of the affix markers in the Tialo language is going to take action, is taking action, has taken action, ordered, has taken action for others, and has finished taking action for others. Meanwhile, the affixes for the Tialo language consist of prefixes {mo-}, {no-}, and {me-}. {in-} infix. Suffixes {-i} and {a'a}. The confixes {mo-i}, {mo-a'a}, and {no-a'a} in the affix form of the Tialo language verb markers have changed and some have not changed.
