Abstract

Abstract

Partners realize that the production of cultivated fish can still be increased, one of which is by monitoring water quality by providing aeration to maintain water health. Partners need a technological assistance that can improve the quality of results and production levels in a shorter time, and of course not incur large electricity costs from using this technology. This community service program activity is designed to solve partner problems. The proposal team provided a technology product called E-Ox Level, a proven technology to monitor pond water quality and control the aerator engine to keep it at optimum water quality standards. This technology is energy efficient, because it utilizes solar energy. This product can reduce operating costs and increase production yields. This program shows positive results. The results of its installation in the Budikdamber pond showed that the growth rate of fish length and weight was faster than the pond without the help of technology, and the mortality rate was recorded to be lower. These results are similar when the technological device is applied to larger biofloc ponds.

Abstract

Fishing Port of Nusantara Kejawanan Cirebon, located in the eastern part of West Java, is a type B port that is dominated by ships with squid fishing equipment (cast net) with a total of 123 vessels. The purpose of this study is to analyze the composition of catch and level friendliness of squid fishing gear (cast net) based on the composition of the main catch and by catch. Data collection was carried out descriptively through surveys. Data on fish catches were collected from 10 units of cast net fishing gear units in 2018. Data analysis includes the composition of the type of catch and its level of friendliness. Based on the results of the study showed that the squid fishing gear (cast net) with the composition of the catch is dominated by squid by 97% and the remaining 3% consists of lemuru, kite and anchovies. The size of the squid catch that was landed in the Fishing Port of Nusantara Kejawanan Cirebon has a size with a category of large squid 27-30 cm with a total amount of 79,324.64 kg and small size squid with a total size of 1-7 cm with a total number of 18,411.29 kg. The value of the level of environmental friendliness in squid fishing gear (cast net) is obtained with a total value of 30. Based on these values the squid fishing gear (cast net) is categorized as a very environmentally friendly fishing gear.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of income of swimming crab catches and other side catches carried out by portable traps fishermen in Waruduwur Village, Cirebon Regency, as well as to know the factors of production costs that affect the acquisition of production volume of portable traps catches. This research uses methodology descriptively with surveys. Respondents were as many as 10 (ten) bubu folding fishermen who used boats with a size < 5 GT. The average income level of swimming crabs fishing business for ten respondents of portable traps fishermen folded in ten arrest trips amounting to Rp. 4,354,420.00 with an average operating cost value of Rp 2,302,110.00 and an average profit value of Rp 2,052,310.00. The amount of average value of income does not guarantee the amount of profit achieved, given the difference in the amount of operating costs at sea. Factors of production costs that affect the acquisition of production volumes of swimming crabs catches are oil, diesel (BBM) and Supplies. With details of the percentage of oil 3.72 % of Rp 82,500.00, then diesel 26.39% amounted to Rp 594,000.00, and supplies of 69.89% was Rp.1,625,610.00, so the most dominant production costs influenced the acquisition of the volume of swimming crabs catches in a row were marine supplies, diesel and oil.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) and Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) from the catch of trammel net fishing gear by fishermen in Indramayu Regency, West Java. The research method used is descriptive method, which is a method to create a systematic, factual and accurate description of the facts, characteristics and relationships of environmental factors or phenomena being studied. Data analysis was carried out on the catch and catch effort in the last 5 years (2011-2015) on trammel net fishing gear. Trammel net fishing gear is environmentally friendly fishing gear and is an effective fishing tool in fishing productivity with the composition of the catch consisting of the main catch is tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon) and bycatch such as tigawaja fish (Johnius belangeri), petek Leiognathus bindus) and layur (Trichyurus haumela). The highest annual productivity of trammel net fishing gear during 2011-2015 occurred in 2011 and 2014 at 0.018 tons / trip and the lowest productivity occurred in 2015 at 0.013 tons / trip, and the maximum sustainable catch or MSY in Indramayu Regency was 32147, 1 ton / year, with an estimated optimum fishing effort of 103516.67 trips for one year and R2 of 0.2977.
