Abstract

Participation studies are important because they determine the success of the program. When community participation is high, the food granary program will be successful and conversely low participation will make the food granary program fail to run. The research aims to examine the level of participation of the farming community in supporting the Community Food Granary Development Program. This study determines the closeness of the relationship between social and economic factors and community participation. Participation is measured based on the activities of the food barn from four (4) stages, namely; The planning, implementation, evaluation and results utilization stages. Participation is measured using a Likert scale with categories very high, high, medium and low. The closeness of the relationship between socio-economic variables and participation was analyzed using Rank Spearman analysis. The results of the study showed that community participation is classified as moderate with a score of 3982 (61.60%). The closeness of the relationship between socio-economic factors, namely age0.391 (moderate), amount of production of 0.409 (moderate) and type of workof 0.620 (strong)has a significant relationship with participation. While, the formal education factor does not significant relationship to participation with a correlation coefficient of 0.150 (weak).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify internal and external factors that influence the development of organic vegetable farming, to analyze alternative strategies in the development of organic agriculture, and to determine priority strategies in the development of organic vegetable farming. The location of this research was carried out with the consideration of CV. PPO is one of the places that produce and provide organic agricultural products in Kupang Regency and Kupang City. Primary data obtained from direct observation, discussion and interviews with respondents, secondary data obtained from books, journals, papers, BPS. The data analysis used to answer the objectives are IFE matrix analysis, EFE matrix analysis, IE matrix analysis, SWOT matrix analysis and QSP matrix analysis. (1) The results showed 10 strength factors, 7 weakness factors, 6 opportunity factors and 6 threat factors. (2) The results of the IFE matrix calculation show that the total score of the strength factor is 2.234 and the total score of the weakness factor is 0.702, which means that the influence of the strength factor is greater than the influence of the weakness factor on the business development of organic vegetables. While the results of the EFE matrix calculation show that the total score of the opportunity factor is 1.805 and the total score of the threat factor is 0.769, which means that the influence of the opportunity factor is greater than the threat factor on the development of the organic vegetable business. (3) In the IE matrix the position of CV PPO is in quadrant I which means that CV PPO is strong and has a chance. The strategy given is Aggressive, where there are strengths that are used to seize profitable opportunities. (4) The SWOT matrix analysis produces 6 strategies, namely creating attractive product packaging so that they can compete with other agricultural products, adopting green house agricultural technology to overcome climate influences, creating more strategic marketing places, maximizing facilities, capital and land certification and products that are exists in producing and meeting market demand, taking advantage of P4S opportunities to increase public awareness and creating a wider market, Optimizing the use of internet services to expand product marketing. (5) The QSP matrix analysis resulted in a strategy of creating attractive product packaging in order to compete with other agricultural products with a total score of 5,653 which is a priority strategy.

Abstract

Research on Analysisof Caisim Mustard Farming in Kupang Tengah District, Kupang Regency has been carried out with the aim of: 1) Analyzing the revenue and income costs of caisim mustard farming in Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency, 2) analyzing the feasibility of caisim mustard farming cultivated by farmers in Central Kupang District. Kupang Regency The research location was chosen intentionally, namely in Noelbaki Village and Oelpuah Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency. Research respondents were caisim mustard farmers who were randomly assigned as many as 40 people. The data collected were analyzed using Cost and Revenue Analysis, as well as Business Feasibility Analysis (R/C Ratioand BEP) The results showed that: 1) the average cost, revenue, and income of caisim mustard farming in Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency were: Rp. 1,054,077,-/are/planting, Rp 1.182.330,-/are/planting, and Rp 128,253/are/planting and 2) Caisim mustard farming cultivated by responden tfarmers in Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency isfeasibletodevelop (R /C Ratio 1.1, BEP Productionandprice<production and selling price

Abstract

The development of Community Food Estate is important to maintain the availability of food locally. The development of food estate is determined by the activeness of the famer groups and their members. The growth and development of food estate is observed through the participation of the farming community in managing them, starting from planning activities, organizing activities, implementing activities, using results, evaluating and monitoring. This study aims to examine the active status of farmers' participation in supporting the development of community food barns and describe various determinants of the active participation of farmers. The survey method was used to obtain information on 85 farmers randomly drawn from eight farmer groups. The findings show that 65% of farmers play a fairly active role with a score of 3.01. Significant determinants of farmer activity are the number of family members, dependency ratio, non-formal education of farmers, and farmer mothers, land area and rice equivalent production. Meanwhile, the determinants of formal education of farmers and peasant mothers did not show a significant influence.
