Abstract

The government has officially merged 3 sharia commercial banks owned by state-owned subsidiaries into one large entity called Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). The merger of Bank Syariah Mandiri, BNI Syariah, and BRI Syariah is expected to be able to form the largest national Islamic commercial bank with strong capital that can contribute to the development of the Indonesian halal industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. BSI as a sharia bank with the largest assets in Indonesia is expected to perform better so that it can become a facilitator both in the form of financing and the collection of third-party funds (DPK) in the halal industry which is one of the industries that has a market share in the country with the largest Muslim population. This research is qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach technique which is carried out in four stages, namely data collection, data presentation, data reduction, categorization, and data verification. The results of this study are expected to improve banking performance, especially sharia as part of the national economic recovery (PEN) in the halal industry ecosystem. Maintaining the value of ROE, distribution of financing, TPF, NPF, and BOPO, as well as synergizing with various parties is one of the keys to BSI's success in developing the halal industry in Indonesia. Pemerintah resmi menggabungkan 3 bank umum syariah milik anak perusahaan BUMN menjadi satu entitas besar bernama Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI).

Abstract

The value of the company is oriented towards the future of the company, so it is expected that every decision making must consider the value of the company. This study formulates several problems, namely the analysis of the values of return on assets and the ratio of debt to equity partially in increasing the Company Value of 11 business entities whose capital is all or partly owned by the government that has been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the Year 2017-2019. The author's purpose in conducting this research is to find out the values of return on assets and the ratio of debt to Equity to the company value. The quantitative approach used in this research is descriptive and verificative data analysis using classical assumptions including normality, autocorrelation, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and hypothesis testing with multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study found that Return on Assets has a significant effect on Company Value. The results of this study can be used as input and information about the implementation of Return on Assets and Debt to Equity Ratio which can be used as a basis for knowing the value of BUMN companies that have registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

In the face of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, the role of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) needs to be strengthened. Especially now that small and medium enterprises are no longer seen as an alternative, but as the backbone or foundation of the country's economy. There are three things that must be considered and improved in an effort to strengthen the existence of SMEs, namely finance, improving Human Resources (HR) and innovating marketing models through digital technology. MSMEs in Kiaracondong District which are engaged in culinary and handicrafts are small businesses owned and developed by individuals in the guidance, direction and supervision of the Head of the Economic and Development Section at both the sub-district and village levels. In the time of COVID-19 pandemic, the majority of MSMEs in the Kiaracondong sub-district tend to experience a decrease in sales turnover, this is because the marketing of their products is still done conventionally and only around the neighborhood where they live. Therefore, the Langlangbuana University community service team provides assistance to SMEs to develop their entrepreneurial spirit, through discussion methods and FGDs for product innovation assistance, sales promotion strategies, online marketing strategies and digital literacy. The results of the mentoring activity showed that the SME participants in the Kiaracondong sub-district actively participated in mentoring activities and could understand the strategy for developing product variations and understanding digital literacy in marketing their products through social media such as Whatsapp groups and business WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram.

One indicator of banking financial performance can be seen through Return on Assets (ROA). This is because ROA is used to measure the effectiveness of a company in generating profits by utilizing its assets. Financial ratios such as Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Non Performing Loans (NPL) help industrial banking to evaluate and assess the soundness of a bank. This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Non-Performing Loan (NPL) on Return on Assets (ROA) in 4 state-owned banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2017-2021. The type of data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the annual financial statements of banks published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2017-2021. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling with 3 criteria and the sample in this study amounted to 4 banks. The analytical method used is quantitative, processed using SPSS 25. The results show that partially the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) variable has a significant positive effect on Return on Assets (ROA), while the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) variable has no significant effect to Return on Assets (ROA).
