Abstract

Padang state university is one of the universities that provide the academicians with information system in order to make them easier when looking for information that they need. One of the information systems is online learning evaluation system. The aim of this research is examining some factors that impacting the acceptance and the usage of online learning evaluation system interest by using Venkatesh's model (2003) that is Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Variables that used are: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating condition and hedonic motivation. The result of the data analysis shows that the variables of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions and hedonic motivation together have a significant effect of 67% on the interest of acceptance and use of Online Learning Evaluation Information System at State University of Padang. So it can be concluded that the factors of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions and hedonic motivation have contributed to the interest of acceptance and use of the system. If each variable has a higher correlation it will increase the acceptance of Information Systems Online Learning Evaluation at State University of Padang.Keywords: Unified Theory Of Acceptance And Use Of Technology (UTAUT), performance Expectancy, Effort Ecpectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Online Learning Evaluation

Abstract

This research started from the fact that the result of the learning was low . This fact can be seen from data of the first daily test students in class XI TKJ at academic year 2013/2014. In class XI TKJ 1, there are only 14 people (46%) of students who completed the study, and the students who have not completed was 16 people(53%), then  the students of class XI TKJ 2 the result of students who completed is 12 people (41%), and students who have not completed was 17 people (59%). Factors thought to influence the result of the learning is prior knowledge and student learning activities. Therefore, this study aims to determine the contribution of prior knowledge and learning activities for learning result. This research is correlational. Techniques of data collection using questionnaires classes and documentation. The data were analyzed using statistical methods to correlation and regression. Results of data analysis showed: 1) Prior Knowledge give 53,8 %, contribution to the results of the test, 2), Learning Activities give 23.5 %, contribution to the results of the test 3) Prior Knowledge and learning activities together gives 63,25 % to the results of tests on subjects in class XI TKJ at SMKN 8 Padang. Kata Kunci : Kontribusi, Kemampuan Awal, Aktivitas Belajar, Hasil Belajar, Mata Diklat Sistem Operasi Jaringan, Korelasional, Kuesioner, Pre-test.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the satisfaction of System e-Xamp Editor users in SMKN 3 Pariaman. The evaluation was conducted based on the perception of the end user by using End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model. EUCS Model has 6 factors i.e. content, accuracy, format, ease of use timeliness and flexibility, these 6 factors used as independent variable to evaluate e-Xamp editor user satisfaction in SMKN 3 Pariaman. This research using questionnaire as a primary data as well as scientific journals, reference books as secondary data. This research uses validity test, reliability test, normality test and linear regression analysis as methods of data analysis. The results showed that 6 factors of EUCS model affects 61% of e-Xamp editor user satisfaction. Content affects 6,15% of e-Xamp editor user satisfaction, timeliness affects 15,76% of e-Xamp editor user satisfaction, ease of use affects 15,36% of e-Xamp editor user satisfaction, format affects 5,52% of e-Xamp editor user sastisfaction, accuracy affects 2,5% of e-Xamp editor user satisfaction and flexibility affects 6,4% of e-Xamp editor user satisfaction. Kata kunci: User Satisfaction, e-Xamp editor, End-User ComputingSatisfaction (EUCS)

Abstract

The capital city of West Sumatera, Padang, had so many event to increase its tourism. Every year, the domestic tourist coming and passing by to Padang, increasing the consumption of fuel in Padang. However, the information about location of gas station in Padang is not easy-to access. The focus of this project is to provide the information about location of gas station in Padang. This project aims to help people to find track between gas station. The systems are designed with a web-based map layers represented by MapServer. The data (maps) was made with ArcGIS and MapInfo, digitized into shapefile form (vector model), the track finder using Dijkstra’s Algorithm. As well as general contained in the database storage system using the application postresql and PostGIS, implemented into web pages via PHP. This outcomes of this project is a geographic information system that provides general information of gas station in Padang. Visitors can find the location based on the name of the gas station. Then the system provide the track between gas station and track from the point that visitor decide. General information will be displayed in tabular form and location information is displayed in the form of maps showing the location of the point. Keywords: Geograpic Information System, Algorithm, Dijkstra, MapServer, OpenLayer, PostgreSQL/PostGis.

Abstract

The daily prayers are an important thing that should be done by every moslem in this world. One of the priorities in praying is to pray on the right time with directed to mecca  Nowadays, most of moslem tend to neglect the time to pray as they are busy of their works. At this time, a moslem have to be discipline in splitting  the  time  to  do  shalat.  Those who  earn  and  have enough income  is supposed to pay the Zakat Mal according to the amount of their income. In this modern era, handphone has been used by the people in facilitating their works in daily life, because handphone have many functions out of its main function. Android is an operation system that is inserted into handphone which has function to help the user in installing the application that they need. In this final project, the writer proposed a title “The designing of application in calculating Zakat Mal, Determining the Time of Shalat, and Direction to Mecca by using GPS with android system base. This application will remind the user of the time of shalat and  show  the  direction  to  Mecca  that  is  supported  by  GPS  system.  This application also includes the menu for calculating the Zakat Mal.   Keywords:  Android Application, Zakat Mal, Shalat time, Direction of Kiblat. Abstract

The alumni information system is an example of an information system specifically designed for the purpose of supporting the work of educational institutions, especially at SMK Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan, if you want to process alumni data and view all the data through web-based information services. At SMK Negeri 1 Koto Web-based alumni are very necessary to collect alumni data in a comprehensive and easily accessible manner. This research aims to design a web-based alumni information system using the waterfall development method which allows the development process to be carried out in stages starting from analysis, design, to implementation of the system. With this method, it is hoped that the system design can be more structured, efficient, and make it easier for schools to collect current alumni data.

Abstract

The lack of centralized and accurate alumni data management systems remains a challenge for many vocational schools. This study aims to develop a web-based alumni information system for SMK Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan to streamline alumni data processing and improve post-graduation engagement. Using the Waterfall development model, the system was designed through sequential stages including requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The result is a role-based information system that includes separate dashboards for administrators, alumni, and alumni coordinators. The system allows secure login, data editing, event announcements, and alumni networking. The implementation demonstrates that a structured development model can effectively address institutional data management needs and enhance user interaction. However, future improvements are needed to support mobile access, analytics integration, and broader deployment across institutions. This system serves as a foundational step toward digital transformation in alumni management for vocational education institutions.

Abstract

Attendance is an essential component of school management that serves as both proof of presence and a basis for evaluating the discipline of teachers, students, and staff. The manual attendance system that is still widely used often leads to several issues, such as delayed data recapitulation, potential attendance manipulation, and low recording accuracy. This study aims to design and develop a web-based attendance application at SD Negeri 19 Pasar Cubadak by integrating geolocation, timestamp, and face recognition features as attendance validation tools. The research method employed is the Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Waterfall software development model, which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The application was developed using the Laravel framework with PHP and JavaScript programming languages and a MySQL database. The results show that the web-based attendance application can record attendance in real-time, automatically validate user location and identity, and generate accurate and transparent attendance reports. The User Acceptance Test (UAT) results indicate that the system is user-friendly, improves recapitulation efficiency, and assists the principal in objectively monitoring school members’ discipline. Therefore, this application is expected to serve as a modern solution to enhance the effectiveness of attendance administration in primary education environments.

Abstract

The demands of 21st-century education necessitate educators to possess robust digital literacy and pertinent technological competencies. This paper explores initiatives aimed at bolstering educators' digital literacy and technological adeptness through Canva design training utilizing the development study approach. By concentrating on the online graphic design platform during training sessions, educators can hone their abilities in crafting captivating and interactive learning materials. Purposive sampling was utilized in this study, selecting participants based on predefined criteria aligned with the research goals, particularly students enrolled in the Initial Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG Prajabatan) batch 1 for the academic year 2023/2024 across diverse educational fields. Research findings reveal that 90% of the 50 participating educators attested to their capability to generate compelling learning resources catering to the needs of 21st-century learners. Surveys among students further illustrate an 80% increase in interest and engagement in learning subsequent to Canva utilization. Consequently, Canva training substantially elevates the quality of learning materials and student involvement in the educational process. Targeted training equips educators to adeptly address the requisites of 21st-century education, thus facilitating an enhanced learning experience for students. This research contributes to discussions surrounding the professional development of educators in the digital age.
