Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of komarasca (compost-activated carbon, liquid smoke) results of processing solid organic waste on plant growth god leaves (Gynura pseudochna (Lour) DC). Solid organic waste comes from the market in Bogor City consisting of leaves, wood, bamboo, and twigs of plants. Compost is made by waste composting techniques biodekomposer type leaves using Effective Microorganism (EM-4), whereas activated charcoal and liquid smoke is made through the pyrolysis process of solid waste mixture consisting of 50% wood, 25% bamboo and 25% twigs of plants. Seedling leaf plant using is the god of tuber crops from the Garden Study Center medicinal Cikabayang IPB, Bogor.  Tuber is cut into pieces measuring 1.5 to 2.0 cm, and then sowing to grow and produce leaves 2-3. Planting medium used a mixture of soil-compost-activated carbon treatment made by certain variations and each is inserted into the plastic polyback. God leaf seedlings planted simultaneously in poliback was completed, the planting medium. Observation the growth of plants includes the amount of leaf, stem height and number of tillers. After a 30-day-old plants sprayed with pesticides. The observation on days 0, 10, 20, and 30 showed an increase in the number of leaves, stem height and number of tillers. The observation after the plants sprayed with liquid smoke showed good plant growth the number of leaves, stem height and number of tillers is increasing especially in the treatment of M5P1 (addition of activated carbon with steam activation results and liquid smoke).

Abstract

Abstrak Sebagai salah satu sekolah yang menerapkan kurikulum 2013, SMAN 1 Sigli dituntut mampu menggunakan IT dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Hal ini merupakan hambatan dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 di SMAN 1 Sigli, maka perlu menerapkan IT dalam model pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis di SMAN 1 Sigli. Metode quasi experiment dengan pretest posttest, control group design yang dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Sigli tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Pemilihan sampel dengan teknik random sampling, memilih 2 (dua) dari 5 (lima) kelas yang terdapat di SMAN 1 Sigli. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan soal tes untuk melihat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik mencapai 85% kategori tinggi pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol hanya 65%, hasil pengujian hipotesis didapat thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,61 > 1,68. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT dalam pembelajaran fisika terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis di SMAN 1 Sigli. Model PBL berbantuan IT dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran untuk membuat peserta didik lebih aktif, namun terdapat kelemahan pada kegiatan merumuskan masalah dan berhipotesis. Kata Kunci: PBL berbantuan IT; fluida; hasil belajar. Abstract As one of the schools implementing the 2013 curriculum, SMAN 1 Sigli is required to use IT in improving learners' learning outcomes. This is an obstacle in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in SMAN 1 Sigli, it is necessary to apply IT in the learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of IT assisted PBL model on student learning outcomes on static fluid material at SMAN 1 Sigli. Quasi experimental method with pretest posttest, control group design implemented in SMAN 1 Sigli in academic year 2016/2017. Selection of sample by random sampling technique, choose 2 (two) from 5 (five) class which is in SMAN 1 Sigli. The data was collected using test questions to see the effect of IT assisted PBL model on students' learning outcomes on static fluid materials. The result of the research shows that the students' learning achievement reaches 85% high category in the experimental class and the control class is only 65%, the result of hypothesis testing is tcount> ttable is 2.61> 1.68. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that there is influence of IT assisted PBL model in physics learning toward student learning outcomes on static fluid material at SMAN 1 Sigli. IT-assisted PBL models can be applied in learning to make learners more active, but there are weaknesses in problem-forming and hypothesizing activities. Keywords: IT assisted PBL; fluida; learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was aimed to generate student worksheet based on multiple intelligences (MI) for the sub-chapter of colloid for 11th-grade students. This research used R & D model referred to Borg & Gall. This research follow ten stages of analysis, namely (1) checking of needs; (2) planning; (3) initial development of worksheet's draft; (4) preliminary field testing; (5) main product revision; (6) main field testing; (7) operational product revision; (8) operational field testing; (9) final product revision; (10) implementation and dissemination. The feasibility of student worksheet was reviewed from 5 aspects, content conformity, MI components, linguistic, physical appearance and student worksheet equipment. The average score of quality assessment result by expert validator on product quality was 3.43, with very good category. The percentage of high school chemistry teachers' response in the preliminary field testing, main field testing and operational field testing were 78.89; 83.06 and 86.85 respectively. The student of Inshafuddin High School Banda Aceh responded positively to the student worksheet based on multiple intelligences of the colloid topic with the percentage 88.33. Developed student worksheet based on MI for colloid topics was feasibly applied for learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of conceptual understanding and scientific attitude of students through the application of scientific approach in junior high school. This research uses the quasi-experiment method with non-equivalent control group design. This research of scientific approach to science learning has been done in SMPN 1 Teunom and Pasie Raya. The population of this study was all students in both schools and class VIIA and VIIB was selected as the samples through purposive sampling. The data of this study were collected by using multiple choice test and observation sheet of students' scientific attitude. Data were analyzed using N-gain test and t-test after normality and homogeneity test were conducted using the SPSS program. The results showed that the application of scientific approach can improve the understanding of the concept and scientific attitude of the students with a value of t 0,000 < 0.05. The result of scientific attitudes obtained 76 and 70 % within the good category. This study concluded that an effective scientific approach can be used to improve understanding of students' concepts and scientific attitudes.
