Abstract

Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pendekatan penyelesaian masalah fisika kontekstual oleh pakar fisika. Masalah fisika kontekstual dalam kajian ini merupakan soal fisika yang menggambarkan pengalaman hidup kita sehari-hari. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari sepuluh pakar fisika dari Universitas Syiah Kuala. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes tulis dan wawancara terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pakar fisika melakukan 20 pendekatan penyelesaian masalah sewaktu menyelesaikan masalah fisika kontekstual. Seterusnya penelitian ini juga memperoleh satu pendekatan umum yang sering dijalankan oleh semua pakar fisika apabila mereka diminta untuk menyelesaikan masalah fisika kontekstual. Dalam pendekatan ini mereka melakukan; (a) mengumpulkan informasi, (b) menentukan prinsip/konsep, (c) mengidentifikasi variabel, (d) membuat hubungan kuantitatif, (e) membina persamaan spesifik, (f) membuat subtitusi, (g) membuat perhitungan, (h) membuat keputusan dan (i) memeriksa kembali jawaban. Sumbangan penelitian ini adalah satu model pendekatan penyelesaian masalah  fisika kontekstual oleh pakar fisika yang boleh digunakan sebagai garis panduan untuk membantu pelajar dalam menyelesaikan masalah fisika kontekstual.This qualitative study aims to determine the contextual approach to solving physics problems by experts physics. Contextual physics problems in this study is a matter of physics that portray the experience of our daily lives. Research subjects consisted of ten experts from physics education, Syiah Kuala University. Data collection method used was a written test and structured interview. The results showed that physics experts do 20 approaches to solve the problem while solving the problem of contextual physics. So this study also found a general approach that is often executed by all physicists when they were asked to solve physics problems in context. In this approach, they do: (a) menghuraikan information, (b) determining the principles / concepts, (c) identified the variables, (d) make quantitative relationships, (e) develop specific equations, (f) make the substitution, (g) make calculation, (h) make decisions, and (i) to re-examine the answers. Contribution of this study is a model of a contextual approach to solving physics problems by experts in physics that be used as guidelines to assist students in solving physics problems contextual.

Abstract

Abstrak Sebagai salah satu sekolah yang menerapkan kurikulum 2013, SMAN 1 Sigli dituntut mampu menggunakan IT dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Hal ini merupakan hambatan dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 di SMAN 1 Sigli, maka perlu menerapkan IT dalam model pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis di SMAN 1 Sigli. Metode quasi experiment dengan pretest posttest, control group design yang dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Sigli tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Pemilihan sampel dengan teknik random sampling, memilih 2 (dua) dari 5 (lima) kelas yang terdapat di SMAN 1 Sigli. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan soal tes untuk melihat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik mencapai 85% kategori tinggi pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol hanya 65%, hasil pengujian hipotesis didapat thitung > ttabel yaitu 2,61 > 1,68. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PBL berbantuan IT dalam pembelajaran fisika terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi fluida statis di SMAN 1 Sigli. Model PBL berbantuan IT dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran untuk membuat peserta didik lebih aktif, namun terdapat kelemahan pada kegiatan merumuskan masalah dan berhipotesis. Kata Kunci: PBL berbantuan IT; fluida; hasil belajar. Abstract As one of the schools implementing the 2013 curriculum, SMAN 1 Sigli is required to use IT in improving learners' learning outcomes. This is an obstacle in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in SMAN 1 Sigli, it is necessary to apply IT in the learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of IT assisted PBL model on student learning outcomes on static fluid material at SMAN 1 Sigli. Quasi experimental method with pretest posttest, control group design implemented in SMAN 1 Sigli in academic year 2016/2017. Selection of sample by random sampling technique, choose 2 (two) from 5 (five) class which is in SMAN 1 Sigli. The data was collected using test questions to see the effect of IT assisted PBL model on students' learning outcomes on static fluid materials. The result of the research shows that the students' learning achievement reaches 85% high category in the experimental class and the control class is only 65%, the result of hypothesis testing is tcount> ttable is 2.61> 1.68. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that there is influence of IT assisted PBL model in physics learning toward student learning outcomes on static fluid material at SMAN 1 Sigli. IT-assisted PBL models can be applied in learning to make learners more active, but there are weaknesses in problem-forming and hypothesizing activities. Keywords: IT assisted PBL; fluida; learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian kualitatif ini dijalankan untuk menentukan aktivitas penyelesaian masalah fisika bukan rutin oleh pakar fisika. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari sepuluh pakar fisika dari Universitas Syiah Kuala. Kaedah pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah ujian bertulis dan wawancara berstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pakar fisika menjalankan 20 aktivitas penyelesaian masalah sewaktu menyelesaikan masalah fisika bukan rutin. Seterusnya hasil penelitian ini juga telah mendapati satu pendekatan umum yang sering dijalankan oleh semua responden apabila mereka diminta menyelesaikan masalah fisika bukan rutin. Dalam pendekatan ini mereka menjalankan aktivitas (a) menyenaraikan informasi, (b) menentukan prinsip/konsep, (c) mengidentifikasi variabel, (d) membuat hubungan kuantitatif, (e) membina persamaan spesifik, (f) membuat gantian, (g) membuat perhitungan, (h) membuat keputusan, dan (i) pengecekan jawaban. Sumbangan penelitian ini adalah model aktivitas penyelesaian masalah fisika bukan rutin yaitu satu garis panduan untuk membantu pelajar dalam menyelesaikan masalah fisika bukan rutin.Kata kunci: aktivitas, masalah fisika bukan rutin

Abstract

The Student worksheet based on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) has been prepared, validated, and tested on students at SMAN 5 Banda Aceh. The worksheet guided the students to design a salt-making tool with a sunlight-gathering mirror. The worksheet was developed using the ADDIE model of the research and development (R&D) method. The subjects of the study consisted of 31 students divided into some groups consisting of 6 participants for each. The students were given problems and examples of salt-producing tools using a sunlight-collecting mirror. The purpose of this activity was to let them observe and modify according to their creativity. Based on the assessment of the tool model produced by students, the gained score reached an average score of 91 (very good). After the learning process, the learning outcomes increased with an average of 42 to 70. The science learning motivation and creativity scores of the students after the implementation reached 76 (good) and 79 (good).

Abstract

STEM is one of the students' guides to have the mindset and ability to create an innovative and creative product that is useful for industry or everyday life. As prospective teachers, the students of chemistry education are expected to apply STEM-based learning at schools. Therefore, this study focuses on investigating their knowledge of implementing STEM-based learning. The respondents of this study were students of chemistry education who were prospective teachers and had taken the internship class. Meanwhile, 69 participants fill in the online questionnaire. This study employed a questionnaire and a multiple-choice test with case questions to create a new product. Before applying the questionnaire and test instruments, their contents were validated and tested. The data were analyzed by employing quantitative descriptive analysis. This study reveals that the students' have an average score of STEM knowledge by 3.11 (77.75%), a moderate category of STEM domains by 3.49 (87.25%), STEM indicators by 3.03 (75.75%), and STEM-based learning by 2.81 (70.25%). Meanwhile, the score of students’ knowledge of learning-based STEM is 65.22 and is categorized as moderate. These results consist of mathematical domains score by 34.87 (enough), techniques by 46.38 (enough), planning and implementation by 49.28 (enough), creativity & innovation by 57.97 (moderate), evaluation by 63.77 (medium), technology by 73.91 (medium), a collaboration by 88.41 (high), science by 89.86 (high), and communication by 98.55 (high).

Abstract

This research develops a comic-based student worksheet to learn about feasibility, learning outcomes, and motivation of the student worksheet. The research was carried out using research and development (R&D) methods with the ADDIE development model. The implementation of this comic-based Student Worksheet uses a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were students of class VIII at MTsN 3 Banda Aceh. The samples in this study were 57 students in the class of Abu Bakar Ash Siddiq and Zaid bin Thabit who were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection using validation tests, written tests, and questionnaires. The results of the feasibility test showed that the Developed Student Worksheet was included in the feasible category with an average score of assessments by experts and natural science teachers of 91.25% and 99.03%. Analysis of learning outcomes data using the t-test, obtained tcount>ttable (4.42> 2.01) shows that there are differences in the value of student learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes where the value of the experimental class is higher than the control class. Results of analysis Motivation of students tcount>ttable (15,53> 2,01) also shows the use of comic-based worksheets can increase students' learning motivation so that it can be concluded that the use of comic-based worksheets is feasible, it can improve student learning outcomes and motivation

Abstract

The research has been carried out to develop STEM based Student Worksheets to determine their effectiveness in increasing students' entrepreneurial innovation through the development of candied nutmeg products and the responses of teachers and students to Student Worksheet. The research was conducted using the research and development (R & D) method using the ADDIE model. The sample in this study were 34 students of class XI IPA 1, selected using random sampling technique. The research data were obtained from expert assessment sheets, Student Worksheet and questionnaires for teachers and students. The results of the STEM-based Student Worksheet feasibility test by the experts showed that the Student Worksheet eveloped was classified as very worthy, with an average percentage value of 94.17%. The percentage of Yes responses obtained from teachers and students was 100.00% and 92.06% in the very good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the developed STEM based Student Worksheet can increase students' entrepreneurial innovation and can be used as an alternative teaching material in craft and entrepreneurship materials, and get positive responses from teachers and students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the renewal of the learning paradigm in the 2013 curriculum which prioritizes the application of higher thinking skills, which aims to increase the potential and skills of students in the 21st century. One of the life skills that students must have is critical thinking skills, this study aims to analyze the characteristics of students' critical thinking skills in completing the HOTS type national exam. The sample of this study was 50 students of class XII MIA in SMA Negeri 1 Jaya in the academic year 2019/2020 using purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques in this study were test and non-test and focus group discussion. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis, the results showed that overall the critical thinking skills of students in solving HOTS type national exam questions were still in the medium category with a percentage of 44.6. Of the 5 indicators that have been mastered well by students, namely indicators provide simple explanations of 71.8% and build basic skills of 68.7% while other indicators are still in the low category, namely indicators conclude by 32.4% provide further explanation of 15.9% and set strategy and tactics 34.5%.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to developing Learning Program Plan (LPP) with a PjBL model based on the STEM approach to improve the students’ science process skills in physics learning. This research refers to the development of ADDIE, namely: 1) Analysis, 2) Design, 3) Development, 4) Implementation and 5) Evaluation. The worthiness of the Learning Program Plan is measure by the result of the Learning Program Plan validation and the responding of the subject is 7 teachers. The result of all the Learning Program Plan showing average value is 4, that is the valid category.  The research design used in the study is Research and Developing (R&D). The research subject is 3 physics teachers at SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh, 1 physics teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Lawe Alas, 1 physics teacher at MA Negeri 1 Aceh Tenggara, and 2 physics teachers at SMA 3 Kutacane. Data of the research are questionnaires that are given to the teacher. Data management is carried out by Statistik analysis Likert scale. Questionnaire of the result showed until 89%. From both measures are found the development of Learning Program Plan model PjBL that teacher assessment result to Learning Program Plan with an average score 4.45  with the overall percentage based STEM approach to improving science process student skills in physics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' science process skills by applying a guided inquiry learning model to the concept of work and energy learning physics. The research design used was a quasi-experimental control group design. The population in this study was all class X MIA SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh, which consisted of five parallel classes who took the science program in the even semester of 2020/2021 with a total of 139 students. Two classes as the research sample were selected by purposive sampling by taking into account the average value of physics for each class. Meanwhile, the determination of the experimental and control classes in this study was carried out randomly. Data on science process skills in both classes was obtained through observation sheets filled out by two observer teachers. The results of data analysis show that, in general, there is a significant difference between the improvement of science process skills in the experimental class and the control class for the indicators of observing, predicting, measuring, communicating, and concluding. However, for classifying indicators, the results were not significantly different. The improvement of science process skills in the experimental class in general for all of these indicators certainly cannot be separated from each step of the guided inquiry learning model they carry out. The positive results of the implementation of physical learning through the inquiry model on students' science process skills can be used as a reference and support for teacher implementation in carrying out the teaching and learning process of physics, especially on the concept of business and energy
