Abstract

The Research Design used was randomized factorial (RAK) group with 1 factors and five levels of treatment: L0:0 ml/plant, L1:125 mL/plant, L2:250 mL/plant, L3:375 mL, 500 ml: L4/plant, and continued with the test Duncan's Multiple Range tests. The parameters observed were higher plants (cm) Weight (kg) pertanaman fruit, fruit diameter. From the results of this research were obtained the following conclusions: (1) the grant of a Liquid organic fertilizer (POC) influential real Vegetables Waste against the plant, fruit weights pertanaman, and the diameter of the fruit. But it has no effect against a real high plants 10 days after planting. Keywords: Waste, production of Vegetables, tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum L.).

Abstract

Perbaikan kualitas lahan merupakan salah satu teknologi yang penting untuk meningkatkan hasil panen dan pendapatan petani serta bisa digunakan secara berkelanjutan. Penggunaan pupuk organik cair dari limbah pertanian merupakan alternatif yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber nutrisi bagi tanaman. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan terhadap petani mengenali pentingnya penggunaan bahan organik sebagai amelioran tanah untuk memperbaiki kesuburan tanah dan meningkatkan kemampuan tanah dalam menyerap serta mentransportasikan hara ke tubuh tanaman sehingga menghasilkan panen yang lebih baik dan berkelanjutan. Dari sosialisasi yang dilakukan petani Lestari di Kelurahan Bakaran Batu Kecamatan Rantau Selatan, sebagian besar petani melakukan budidaya hortikultura dan tanaman palawija. Namun, memiliki keterbatasan dalam pengolahan lahan karena memberikan bahan organik segar dari kotoran ayam yang bersifat panas sehingga mengganggu pertumbuhan tanaman dan tanaman cabai yang dibudidaya relatif sedikit. Selanjutnya, permasalahan petani ditemukan pada masa bera tanah yang relatif singkat tanpa pemberian bahan organik sehingga tanah di lahan petani menjadi lebih keras, berwarna cerah dan bersifat masam. Pengabdian di kelompok tani Lestari memberikan solusi berupa pembagian pupuk organik cair dan memberikan pemaparan cara mengolah limbah kotoran ayam menjadi kompos dengan cara inkubasi, masa pengolahan tanah dan pemberian bahan organik pada saat pengolahan. Tindak lanjut dari pengabdian ini direncanakan kerjasama antar petani, penyuluh dan perguruan tinggi untuk melakukan pecobaan demplot di lapangan menggunakan bahan organik dari yang dibuat oleh petani pada saat sosialisasi tahap awal.

Abstract

Until now, Indonesia's rice production has not been able to meet all the needs of the community. In the evaluation of seeds there are often seeds that are still abnormal and have not germinated. From the description above, the researcher is interested in examining "Test of immersion time and biolemi POC dosage on the growth of rice seeds of Inpari 32 (Oryza sativa L.) variety". This research was conducted in Perbaungan Village, Bilah Hulu District, South Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra Province. This research used inpari 32 rice varieties with factorial randomized block design (RAK) method, with two factors, namely soaking time and biolemy POC. Soaking time affects the growth of rice seedlings on the parameters of seedling height, germination and root length. The application of biolemy liquid organic fertilizer had no significant effect on all parameters. The interaction of immersion time with the application of biolemy liquid organic fertilizer gave no significant effect on all observation parameters.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan ampas tebu sebagai bahan organik dapat berpotensi untuk menjadi pupuk kompos yang dapat menggantikan pupuk anorganik dan bermanfaat bagi pertumbuhan tanaman perkembangan-perkembangan dalam bidang pertanian dan industri  pertanian di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh kompos yang memenuhi syarat untuk digunakan sebagai pupuk organik serta mengurangi penumpukan limbah lingkungan. Riset ini menggunakan ampas tebu sebagai bahan utamanya. Pemanfaatan ampas tebu ini di mix dengan gula  merah, kotoran kambing, kulit pisang serta Em 4 untuk selanjutnya di fermentasikan sehingga yang siap diaplikasikan .dari hasil riset ini kompos berbahan dasar ampas tebu memiliki beberapa kandungan unsur hara yaitu N 2,00% K 2,49%, C-organik 23,69% yang menunjukkan kompos telah matang dan siap digunakan.

Abstract

In this study, weeds in oil palm plantations that produce, including Nephrolepis biserrata, have different resistance to single or combination herbicides, with a mixed herbicide of glyphosate 480 sl and paraquat is expected to control fern weeds (Nephrolepis biserrata) more effectively and efficiently than singly. carried out using a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 3 treatments, namely, D0: Babat D1: glyphosate herbicide 480 sl dose 30 ml 5 liter water volume, D2: paraquat herbicide 25 ml 5 liter water volume, D3: glyphosate herbicide 480 sl + herbicide paraquat at a dose of 20 ml with a volume of 5 liters of water added with mechanical treatment repeated 4 times. Observation parameters in this study were weed mortality rate, leaf color poisoning rate and natality. The results showed that the best treatment was to use the herbicide paraquat (25 ml volume of water 5 liters) on day 13 the weeds had died, while in the herbicide treatment glyphosate 480 sl (30 ml volume of water 5 liters) suppressed weed death on day 19 in the herbicide treatment glyphosate 480 sl mixed with paraquat was able to suppress mortality on day 19 Keywords: plantation, weeds, herbicides

Abstract

Effect of Husk Charcoal on Growth of Celery Plants (Apium graveolens L). This research was conducted in the village o-f Aek Tapa, Purwosari Hamlet, Marbau District, Labuhanbatu Regency. This research will be conducted from April to June 2020. The method used is average. Observation The parameters observed were the highest celery plant height at age. The highest average celery plant height at the age of 8 MST was obtained from the treatment of rice husk A3 300 gr / plant that is 17,8 cm while the average height of celery plant at A2 200 gr / plant that is 24,5 cm later while the average height of celery plants at A1 100 gr / plant is 18,2 cm and the average height of celery plants without treatment (Control) is 21,0 cm. The highest number of leaves (celery) of celery plants at the age of 8 MST was obtained in the treatment of rice husk A3 300 gr / plant that is 24 strands while the average number of celery leaves at A2 200 gr / plant is 20 strands later while the average number of celery leaves at A1 100 gr / plant that is 16 strands and the average number of celery leaves P0 (without treatment) is 14 strands. The highest average weight of celery plants in the highest treatment of husk charcoal obtained A3 300 gr / plant that is 23 gr while the average weight of celery plants at A2 200 gr / plant is 21 gr then while the average weight of celery plants in A1 treatment 100 gr / plant that is 15 gr and the wet weight of the celery plant in the P0 treatment (without treatment) is 12 gr. Abstract

This study aims to obtain the right combination of POC Molasses and PGPR doses to increase the vegetative growth of red chili plants. The research was conducted in dusun IV, Desa Sidorukun, Kec. Pangkatan, Kab.Labuhanbatu. The research time starts from April to June 2021 until it is finished. The research method used was (RAK) Randomized Block Design, 1 factor, 3 levels, 9 combinations with 3 replications to obtain a total of 27 polybag units. The data obtained were analyzed using the F test at the 5% level, if significantly different, further tests were carried out using the Tukey test at the 5% level. The results of the ANOVA test at the 5% level showed that the administration of POC Molasses affected several parameters observed in the M2 sample, such as the number of leaves as many as 160.67 leaves, the number of branches as many as 85.00 stalks and plant height 61.67 cm, with different doses determined. after 6 MST. It can be concluded that the POC Molasses had no significant effect on the M0 treatment, which took longer to grow but in the M1 and M2 treatments, the growth was better. Giving POC Molasses had no significant effect on all observation parameters, especially on the number of leaves. So there is no further test after that. Keywords: POC molasses, PGPR, red chili

Abstract

PTPN IV, the Berangir business unit, has some flat-sloping areas and most of them are hilly which are prone to erosion. Erosion needs to be known as early as possible so that land damage due to erosion can be avoided. This study aims to determine the level of erosion hazard that occurs using the USLE (Universal Soil Losses Equation) method at the PTPN IV oil palm plantation business unit Berangir Perkbunan Berangir Village, NA IX-X District, North Labuhanbatu Regency. This research was conducted from March to May 2021, using an exploratory descriptive method through a field survey, followed by using the USLE method to predict erosion. Parameters observed were rain erodibility, soil erodibility, slope length and slope, plants, and soil conservation measures. The results of this study indicate the level of erosion hazard ranges from 11,694-7819,104 tons/ha/year. The highest actual erosion value was found in the sample of 20 Afd V, which was 7819.104 tons/ha/yr with typic paleudults soil type and steep slopes. The lowest actual erosion value is found in sample 3 Afd I, which is 11,694 tons/ha/yr with psammentic paleudults soil type and gentle slope. Keywords: Plantation, Erosion, USLE (Universal Soil Losses Equation)

Abstract

Ottochloa nodosa is a type of weed that is detrimental to cultivated crops. One of the most commonly used chemical weed controls is the potassium glyphosate herbicide. This study was compiled using a random group design (RAK) with 3 levels and each treatment is repeated 6 times, thus becoming 18 plots of treatment. The treatments tested were: (P1) potassium glyphosate + solvent water pH 4, (P2) potassium glyphosate + solvent water pH 6, and (P3) potassium glyphosate + solvent water pH 8. The results showed that the pH of the water solvent herbicide Potassium Glyphosate had an effect on wet weight and dry weight of the header. Where there is the lowest header dry weight (104.67 grams) at pH use 6 and the largest header dry weight (116.80 grams) at pH use 8. Keywords : Ottochloa nodosa, Potassium Glyphose, pH water solvent
