Abstract

Queuing is an activity where parties are waiting to get service. A queuing process starts from the time of arrival to the time of service. Queuing problems are often encountered in everyday life, including in Langsa City Hospital, especially in the cardiac clinic, which has the most patients. The majority of patients in the queue system are elderly (elderly), so good service is needed considering the physical condition of patients who have entered a vulnerable age. The queuing system analysis aims to determine the average number of patients waiting in the system and the length of service at the heart clinic of Langsa City Hospital. In addition, the queue system analysis can help the Langsa City Hospital design an operational service system so that the service process can run optimally. The queue structure model used is a single channel-single phase with the discipline type First In First Out (FIFO). From the queue model analysis results obtained, the cardiac poly care system has an average number of patients waiting at most occurs in the period 08.00-10.00, namely 14 people with a waiting time of about 56.28 minutes. This time is the busy working hour at cardiac poly with a busyness rate of 93%. From the simulation results with two servers using the same model, a busy rate of 50% was obtained with a reduction in the number of people waiting by 12.8 people with a waiting time of about 1.2 minutes.

Abstract

North Sumatra is one of the endemic areas of tropical diseases, one of which is filariasis. Filariasis or elephantiasis is a disease transmitted through mosquitoes and can cause permanent physical disability for sufferers. In 2015, there were 127 filariasis sufferers. This number has increased to 164 patients in 2017. As a prevention effort, the government provides mass treatment for people living in endemic areas of the disease. Therefore, this study aims to determine the model of spread and the effect of treatment on these communities. This study uses an SEIR model consisting of susceptible humans (S_h), infected humans (E_h), infected humans (I_h), and immune humans (R_h). The data used is data on filariasis sufferers in North Sumatra in 2010-2019, obtained from the North Sumatra Health Office. The data were analyzed based on the equilibrium point, stability, basic reproductive ratio, and numerical simulation. The results showed that based on the SEIR model, filariasis treatment could suppress transmission in endemic areas.

Abstract

Abstrak: Sekolah luar biasa masih memiliki permasalahan dalam monitoring perkembangan dan pembelajaran anak secara intensif. Oleh karena itu Tim PKM melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di sekolah SLB Negeri Pembina Aceh Tamiang dengan tujuan memberikan solusi menggunakan Document Management System (DMS) Sebagai Upaya Monitoring Pembelajaran dan Perkembangan Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus yang dapat dilakukan dimana saja dan kapan saja oleh guru, orang tua murid maupun kepala sekolah. Kegiatan ini dihadiri sebanyak 75 orang peserta yang terdiri dari guru, admin, kepala sekolah serta orang tua wali murid. Metode dalam PKM ini diawali dengan survey awal, kemudian mendesain DMS, melakukan sosialisasi kepada mitra SLB Negeri Pembina Aceh Tamiang (Guru, admin, orang tua dan kepala sekolah) mengenai penggunaan DMS, kemudian Tim melakukan evaluasi pada saat kegiatan maupun pendampingan. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah 84,75% peserta paham dan mahir menggunakan Document Management System (DMS) untuk memonitoring pembelajaran dan perkembangan siswa SLB Negeri Pembina Aceh Tamiang.Abstract: The Pembina Aceh Tamiang State SLB still has problems in monitoring children's development and learning intensively, therefore the PKM Team carries out community service at the Aceh Tamiang SLB Pembina State school with the aim of providing solutions using the Document Management System (DMS) as an Effort for Monitoring Learning and Development Children with Special Needs can be done anywhere and anytime by teachers, parents and school principals. This activity was attended by 75 participants consisting of teachers, admins, school principals and parents and guardians of students. The method in this PKM begins with an initial survey, then designs a DMS, conducts socialization to Aceh Tamiang SLB partners (teachers, admins, parents and school principals) regarding the use of DMS, then the Team evaluates during activities and mentoring. The result of this community service is that teachers, parents and school principals understand and are proficient in using the Document Management System (DMS) to monitor the learning and development of SLB Negeri Pembina Aceh Tamiang students.

Abstract

The Seuke Teulaya group is one of the groups engaged in the processing of pandanus leaves to become more valuable. The problems faced by partners so far are (a) Limited markets in distributing production products from the Seuke Teulaya business group, (b) Marketing is still carried out conventionally, namely through traditional markets, hawkers, and agents (c) Sales results in general have not been able to cover costs production. The PKM team offers a solution, namely by expanding the marketing coverage area and the information technology approach in the form of digital sales by building the Seuke Teulaya business group's e-commerce web and third-party e-commerce webs such as Bukalapak, Tokopedia, and Shoope as well as promotion on social media (Facebook, Instagram , and WhatsApp). The output of this program is national online media publications, local print media, activity videos, non-accredited journals, e-commerce websites that are integrated with Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp as well as seller accounts on Bukalapak, Tokopedia, and Shoope.

Abstract

This community service has purpose to give knowledge for teachers of senior high school (SMA) about using software Maple. Target in this program is teachers, especially mathematics teacher of SMA in Langsa whose has lack of ability in solving excact and numerically problems of mathematics. The direct approach, speech, and practical activities are used as methods in this programm. Speech is performed through socialization in giving information for teachers about benefits of Maple as one of powerful mathematics software in solving mathematics problem. In another side, practice method is performed through training of software Maple for mathematics MGMP`s teachers in Kota Langsa. The result of this programm is ability of teachers using sofware Maple in solving mathematics problems.

Abstract

Cows are one of the livestock that produce meat, milk, labor and others. But lately the productivity of cattle has decreased due to changes in land and climate function and maintenance patterns that are still traditional in nature so that the intake of feed needs is not met both in quality and quantity. The purpose of this activity is to enhance the role and function of universities, BUMK, and livestock groups in accelerating and expanding adoption of livestock innovations to support livestock development through partnerships, government and private institutions. Providing training for livestock groups on the manufacture of probiotics and about the application of biotechnology for animal feed fermentation (straw) with probiotics to increase beef cattle production. Approach method is done by lecture method and field practice. Based on the results of the activity, it was found that the high level of participation of partners in the community service program the application of fermentation technology had a positive impact on the implementation of the service activities program (PKM). The implementation of the program is able to produce products that can improve beef cattle productivity so that it can improve the economy of the Alue Ie Puteh community, especially livestock farmers.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi merupakan salah satu aspek penting untuk dikembangkan. Namun kenyataan di lapangan kemampuan komunikasi masih rendah. Untuk itu, perlu adanya suatu pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa terutama pada materi geometri. Salah satu pembelajaran yang efektif digunakan adalah pembelajarandengan model Brain-Based Learning (BBL) berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan Cabri 3D. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan pembelajaran dengan model Brain-Based Learning (BBL) berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan Cabri 3D terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Experimental dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X Negeri 2 Kejuruan Muda, Aceh Tamiang. Dua kelas dipilih sebagai sampel penelitian, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes Kemampuan Komunikasi matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model Brain-Based Learning (BBL) berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan Cabri 3D lebih baik untuk meningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dibandingkan siswa yang belajar melalui pembelajaran Saintifik. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran dengan model Brain-Based Learning (BBL) berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan Cabri 3D lebih baik untuk meningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dibandingkan siswa yang belajar melalui pembelajaran Saintifik.

Abstract

Pembelajaran geometri perlu menggunakan model dan software yang sesuai untuk mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Salah satunya adalah dengan model SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual and Intellectual) yang dipadukan dengan penggunaan software Geometer’s Sketchpad.  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang belajar di kelas pembelajaran Model SAVI dengan Geometer’s Sketchpad dan mahasiswa yang belajar di kelas pembelajaran pembelajaran Model SAVI tanpa Geometer’s Sketchpad. Metode penelitian yang dilaksanakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pretest-postest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Kelas geometri FKIP matematika sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas geometri MIPA matematika sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes KPMM pada materi geometri. Berdasarkan uji t diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) yaitu 0,002 dan menunjukkan kurang dari 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak, dapat disimpulkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara data N-gain KPMM yang belajar di kelas pembelajaran Model SAVI dengan Geometer’s Sketchpad dan mahasiswa yang belajar di kelas pembelajaran pembelajaran Model SAVI tanpa Geometer’s Sketchpad.Kata kunci :Geometer’s Sketchpad, Pemecahan masalah, model SAVI.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide guidance and training to elementary school teachers regarding the use of mathematical software to deliver geometry-specific material. The targets of this activity were elementary school teachers, namely teachers in the Idi Rayeuk District of East Aceh Regency. The method used in this activity is a direct approach method, lecture or practice. The method of approach is done by observing the problems faced by elementary school teachers, especially in conveying geometry material. The lecture method is carried out through socialization and guidance on difficult material in the field of geometry. While the practice method is done through training in the use of Mathematics software. The results of this activity are the ability of the teacher to guide students in learning the geometry field with the use of Cabri software is adequate, it can be seen from the teacher can already apply the software in delivering the material. In addition, to support this, the PKM Team provided support in the form of modules in order to assist teachers in guiding students.

Abstract

Hadirnya internet memudahkan ruang dan jarak dalam berkomunikasi, serta dalam mendapatkan informasi yang diperlukan. Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin canggih akan mempermudah kita melihat perkembangan atau informasi yang terdapat pada suatu negara, daerah, kota dan desa. Selain itu informasi yang diperoleh dari suatu daerah atau desa merupakan bentuk pelayanan yang diberikan kepada masyarakat. Selain pemerintah pusat, daerah dan kota, desa menjadi salah satu Lembaga publik yang memiliki kewenangan dalam membentuk suatu palayan public secara tranparan, efektif, efisien dan dapat dipercaya.  Desa Peukan langsa telah memiliki website desa dengan tampilannya cukup menarik. Meskipun demikian pemanfaatan web desa kurang optimal, khususnya pada fitur layanan publik masih dirasa belum lengkap dan kurangnya kemampuan aparatur desa mengenai sistem pelayanan administrasi kependudukan. PKM ini bertujuan membantu aparatur desa dan masyarakat dalam akses informasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu metode ceramah, diskusi dan praktik langsung terkait pengembangan web desa Peukan Langsa. Hasil dari kegiatan yaitu peserta dapat menambah wawasasan dan keterampilan khususnya perangkat desa dalam mengembangkan web yaitu pada pelayanan adminitrasi kependudukan. Selain itu, 85% peserta sangat setuju dan 15% setuju bahwa kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam kemudahan akses informasi dan melalui kegiatan PKM ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan administrasi kependudukan di desa berbasis IT.
