Abstract

Several heritage buildings dating back the ancient history of the Ki Buyut Trusmi Cirebon site have been renovated and new buildings added. This paper aims to examine measured drawings related to the absence of original architectural documents. The method consists of field observation, expression of cultural meaning and significant architectural elements, as well as measured drawing studies. The heritage of Hindu-Javanese architecture has historical significance as a tomb complex based on an 1898 map, which is still in great demand by pilgrims. The significance of Hindu-Javanese architecture is related to the position of the mosque in the tomb complex, the gate leading to the complex, the complex gate, the barrier wall, and the complex fence. The manifestation of Javanese architecture can be found in the building of the mosque with a three-tiered roof, connected to the two-level roof porch, and a place for ablution on the north side. The social meaning is related to the traditional events of procession, roof changing, Trusmian and the commemoration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which has been preserved until now. Measured drawings of the situation of the mosque and the plans of the building reveal that the appearance of the complex is strictly limited to the main prayer rooms (signifying Javanese architecture), not yet accompanied by gates and barrier walls (indicating Hindu-Javanese architecture), for historical-archaeological relics. The measured image of the main door of the mosque (amounting to a height of 152 cm) shows the tradition of bowing respectfully when entering the prayer room (signifying Javanese Architecture). Hindu-Javanese architectural elements should also be recorded in measured drawings.

Abstract

Provinsi Lampung kini sedang berfokus pada pelestarian budayanya, dengan mengangkat Siger sebagai simbol budaya dan menjadikannya sebagai identitas baru. Siger dulu berupa mahkota wanita, kini dijadikan konsep pada fasad bangunan pemerintahan dan komersial. Isu penelitian tentang pelestarian budaya Lampung pada bangunan publik Menara Siger dan Sesat Agung Bumi Gayo. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memahami peranan budaya Lampung pada objek studi, mendeskripsikan elemen-elemen arsitektur signifikan, serta konsep tindakan pelestarian budaya Lampung. Metode yang digunakan secara kualitatif, dengan langah-langkahnya: 1) Mengungkap budaya Lampung; 2) Mengungkap elemen arsitektur signifikan pada Menara Siger dan Sesat Agung Bumi Gayo; 3) Tindakan pelestarian budaya Lampung. Temuan penelitian ini: a) Budaya Lampung merupakan budaya yang sarat akan nilai terkait dengan kegiatan, orientasi mata angin, tata massa bangunan, dan juga hasil karya manusia berupa Siger dan kain tradisional. Hal ini juga tercermin pada konsep bangunan Menara Siger dan Sesat Agung Bumi Gayo yang sebagian besar mengambil konsep dasar bermukim masyarakat Lampung dulu; b) Elemen arsitekturnya adalah arah orientasi, tata massa bangunan di dalam tapak, dan ruang komunal seperti dengan pola permukimanan masyarakat dulu; c) Tindakan pelestarian pada aspek bentuk yaitu dengan cara preventif, preservasi, dan adaptasi, sedangkan tindakan pelestarian pada aspek fungsi yaitu preservasi, adaptasi, dan rekonstruksi.  Upaya pelestarian dengan aspek bentuk dan fungsi dilakukan agar budaya lampung tidak tergerus oleh zaman saat ini dan agar budaya tetap terjaga baik benda maupun nilainya.

Abstract

Abstract - In the development of tourism villages, it is necessary to study the local potential that can be raised to empower the community, give a distinctive feature to local local tourism, while still emphasizing sustainable principles, including cultural preservation. Mangunan Village located in Bantul District – Yogyakarta Province has local Javanese architectural characters (including Limasan House Architecture) which can be appointed as one of the tourist attractions. For this purpose, documentation, studies of the condition of existing buildings, as well as studies of the potential and constraints of their use more broadly/long-term in supporting tourism. In addition, tourism development policies that have been implemented also need to be evaluated in order to improve the development plan of Mangunan Tourism Village. Abstract

Abstract: Ubud, a dense tourism area originating from a rice field village, has Puri Saren Agung as a pioneer of Architectural Conservation. This paper aims to reveal the meaning of Bale Ukiran and Bale Gede (the main building of Puri Saren Agung), their significant architectural elements, and their conservation concept. Bale Ukiran a magnificent style of traditional Balinese architecture, limasan roof, red brick walls, multilevel open front terrace, its function is a place to receive guests, meetings and residence of the Puri family. The architectural/historical meaning is the splendor of the palace; Balinese cultural meaning of 'mountain - sea' and 'dualism of life' on terraced terraces; The meaning of the 'three layers of nature' in the carved ceiling - brick walls, wooden pillars - granite floor; The meaning of natural harmony on open terraces, wooden beams. Significant architectural elements: Limasan roof, terraced open terraces, carved ceiling-beams-doors-windows, brick walls. The building is maintained by adaptation, its function is preserved. Bale Gede is in the style of traditional Balinese architecture, with a thatch roof, open, its function is the place for Balinese religious/traditional ceremonies for the Puri family. The meaning of the architecture is sacred customary bale; The Balinese cultural meaning of the 'three layers of nature' through gold carvings on the underside of the roof - wooden pillars - granite floor; The meaning of the harmony of nature through the openness of buildings, wooden beams; The meaning of harmony between past and present life through the building remains as the original, the adaptation of the present in gold carvings, white granite floors. Significant architectural elements: Alang-alang roof, open, white floor at the highest level, gold carvings on the lower part of the roof. The building is maintained with few adaptations, its function survives.Abstrak: Ubud, kawasan pariwisata padat yang asalnya desa persawahan, memiliki Puri Saren Agung sebagai pionir Pelestarian Arsitektur. Tulisan ini bertujuan mengungkap makna Bale Ukiran dan Bale Gede (bangunan utama Puri Saren Agung), elemen arsitektur signifikannya, dan konsep pelestariannya. Bale Ukiran megah bergaya arsitektur Tradisional Bali, atap limasan, dinding bata merah, teras muka terbuka bertingkat, fungsinya tempat menerima tamu, pertemuan dan hunian keluarga Puri. Makna arsitektur/sejarahnya kemegahan istana; Makna Budaya Bali ‘gunung - laut’ dan ‘dualisme kehidupan’ pada teras bertingkat; Makna ‘tiga lapisan alam’ pada plafon berukiran - dinding bata, tiang kayu - lantai granit; Makna keharmonisan alam pada teras terbuka, tiang-balok kayu. Elemen arsitektur signifikan: Atap limasan, teras terbuka bertingkat, ukiran plafon-tiang-balok-pintu-jendela, dinding bata. Bangunan dipertahankan dengan adaptasi, fungsinya dipertahankan. Bale Gede bergaya arsitektur Tradisional Bali, atap persisai alang-alang, terbuka, fungsinya tempat upacara keagamaan/adat Bali keluarga Puri. Makna arsitekturnya bale adat sakral; Makna Budaya Bali ‘tiga lapisan alam’ melalui ukiran emas bagian bawah atap - tiang-tiang kayu - lantai granit; Makna keharmonisan alam melalui keterbukaan bangunan, tiang-balok kayu; Makna harmoni kehidupan masa lalu - masa kini melalui bangunan bertahan seperti aslinya, adaptasi masa kini pada ukiran emas, lantai granit putih. Elemen arsitetur signifikan: Atap tajug alang-alang, terbuka, lantai putih level tertinggi, ukiran emas bagian bawah atap. Bangunan dipertahankan dengan sedikit adaptasi, fungsinya bertahan.

Abstract

Abstract: Revealing the conservation of Balinese culture forms in the architecture of Site and Aruna Restaurant of Tejaprana resort uses architectural phenomenological approach. The Balinese Culture’s physical-social system is expressed through sensory presence, conceptual systems through goal awareness, and the philosophy through essence awareness. The setting extends from the North-South direction, the Aruna restaurant surrounded by garden in the middle of the site and a temple in the North, preserving the principles of the Balinese Traditional Village setting. The essence of the site order is harmony with the local natural philosophy. Social activities surrounded by gardens in the middle of the site and temple in North form a harmonious-balanced human-nature-God relationship philosophy. The openness of Aruna restaurant is similar to Wantilan's architecture, but with different shape. The pool at the center of the floor and the eight columns around it symbolizes the "natural balance" of the Nawa Sanga concept. The essence of Aruna restaurant is local natural harmony philosophy and spiritual relations, forming a harmonious-balanced human-nature-God relationship philosophy. The principles of traditional village arrangements, Balinese cultural social system, concept of natural balance, bale Wantilan principle, Nawa Sanga concept, Tri Hita Karana philosophy are preserved in the site and Aruna restaurant.).Abstrak: Pengungkapan wujud-wujud Budaya Bali dalam arsitektur Tatanan Tapak dan Restoran Aruna resort Tejaprana dan pelestariannya menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologis arsitektur. Sistem fisik-sosial Budaya Bali diungkap melalui kehadiran inderawi, sistem konsep melalui kesadaran tujuan, dan filosofi melalui kesadaran esensi. Tatanan tapak memanjang arah Utara-Selatan, restoran Aruna dikelilingi taman di tengah tapak dan Pura di Utaranya, melestarikan prinsip tatanan tapak Desa Tradisional Bali, berikut sistem sosial Budaya Bali. Tatanan tapak membentuk Keseimbangan Alam konsep Catur Lokapala. Esensi tatanan tapak adalah keharmonisan-keselarasan dengan alam setempat filosofi Manik Ring Cucupu. Aktivitas sosial dikelilingi taman di tengah tapak dan ibadah di Utaranya membentuk relasi harmonis-seimbang manusia-alam-Tuhan filosofi Tri Hita Karana. Restoran Aruna bersosok terbuka, atapnya bersusun mirip arsitektur Wantilan, namun bentuknya kerucut berlantai dua. Kolam di pusat lantai dan delapan kolom sekelilingnya searah mata angin simbol ‘keseimbangan alam’ konsep Nawa Sanga, memperlihatkan sistem sosial Budaya Bali. Esensi restoran Aruna adalah keharmonisan-keselarasan alam setempat (filosofi Manik Ring Cucupu) dan relasi spiritual, sehingga membentuk relasi harmonis-seimbang manusia-alam-Tuhan (filosofi Tri Hita Karana). Prinsip tatanan desa tradisional, sistem sosial Budaya Bali, konsep keseimbangan alam, prinsip bale Wantilan, konsep Nawa Sanga, filosofi Tri Hita Karana dilestarikan pada tapak dan restoran Aruna.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper aims to describe the physical elements of the lobby architecture - the Royal Pita Maha resort restaurant, and furthermore to reveal the meaning of Balinese culture. According to its method, the architectural object is expressed as 'physical existence', subsequently 'aspects of purpose', and finally 'essence' in the form of Balinese cultural meaning. The shape of the resort gate is the result of re-interpretation and improvisation of the past Puri Ubud gate. The lobby architecture is the result of re-interpretation and improvisation of the Balinese traditional public building with modern construction, manifesting the harmony of past-present life. The roof is more special than the others, representing the 'three layers of nature' in Balinese culture, open space and utilizing local resources referring to the 'harmonies of nature'. The layout of the continuous lobby - restaurant towards the South - North is adapted to the condition of the original land and utilizes local natural resources, standing for 'harmonies of local nature'. The re-interpretation of Balinese Traditional communal public building architecture with modern construction patterns means 'harmony of life' between the past and present. Once again, the roof is more outstanding than the other parts, referring to the 'three layers of nature.Keyword: Balinese culture, meaning, harmony.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper aims to reveal the physical system of Javanese cultural values in the architecture of Tebing Watu Mabur tourist destination. Using the descriptive method, the physical system of the object (figure, layout, materials, activities) and its purpose are observed, then the meaning/value of Javanese Culture is deeply observed with contemplation. The design of the mass-space layout of the tourist site refers to the North-South axis in accordance with the Philosophical axis of Yogyakarta Palace. The design of the grass field considers the harmony of the diversity of user groups and the preservation of the natural environment. The Panggang-pe traditional architectural style was chosen for the stalls and guard posts, following the tradition of village selling places, related to local social and natural relations. The Limasan variety of Pendopo 2 is open to all four sides for social activities of users while enjoying the cliff nature. The combination of traditional-modern materials as a contemporary form of traditional Javanese architecture. The architectural design of this cliff tourism destination means the harmony of nature and the physical system of local Javanese cultural values.Keyword: Traditional, Javanese culture, modern Abstrak: Tulisan ini bertujuan mengungkap sistem fisik-nilai Budaya Jawa dalam arsitektur destinasi wisata Tebing Watu Mabur. Digunakan metoda deskriptif, sistem fisik objek (sosok, tata ruang, material, aktivitas) dan tujuannya diobservasi, lalu makna/nilai Budaya Jawanya diamati mendalam disertai perenungan. Desain tata massa-ruang tapak wisata mengacu pada poros Utara-Selatan sesuai dengan sumbu Filosofis Kraton Yogyakarta. Rancangan lapangan rumput memperhatikan keharmonisan dari keberagaman kelompok pengguna dan kelestarian lingkungan alam. Dipilih ragam arsitektur traisional Panggang-pe untuk warung dan pos jaga, mengikuti tradisi tempat berjualan masyarakat desa, terkait relasi sosial dan alam setempat. Ragam Limasan Pendopo 2 terbuka ke empat sisinya untuk aktivitas sosial pengguna sambil menikmati-merasakan alam tebing. Paduan material tradisional-modern sebagai wujud kekinian arsitektur tradisional Jawa. Rancangan arsitektur destinasi wisata  tebing ini bermakna keserasian alam dan sistem fisik-nilai Budaya Jawa setempat.Kata Kunci: Tradisional, Budaya Jawa, modern.

Abstract: This paper aims to identify the architectural plan of Sitiwinangun Village Pottery Tourism Centre from Form-Function elements, then reveal its local cultural-historical-natural meaning, and identify its preservation actions. The method is descriptive-qualitative with the approach of Architecture, Tourism, Culture and Architectural Preservation. The mass-space layout has historical meaning (pottery centre, Islamic propagation), cultural meaning and local nature meaning. Preservation of cultural and historical meaning through the adaptation of the Pottery Centre into a contemporary Pottery Tourism Centre. Preserving the meaning of local nature by maintaining its integration with local nature. The figure of the building open to the local nature means local nature, and its continuity from the Pottery Centre means history. Preservation of the figure of the old building by preservation and regular maintenance, preservation of the new building by maintaining the architectural style of the old building, then preserved. Open building layout-orientation to the old kiln is historically significant. It is preserved by maintaining the principle of open space layout and orientation. The activities of the Pottery Tourism Centre are meaningful to local history, culture and nature. For preservation, the heritage activities are maintained as before, and the present activities are adapted to the demands of the times.Keyword: Form, layout, figure, function, preservation Abstrak: Tulisan ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi rencana arsitektur Pusat Wisata Gerabah Desa Sitiwinangun dari unsur Bentuk - Fungsi, lalu mengungkap makna budaya-sejarah-alam lokalnya, dan mengidentifikasi tindakan pelestariannya. Metodenya deskriptif-kualitatif dengan pendekatan Arsitektur, Pariwisata, Kebudayaan dan Pelestarian Arsitektur. Tata massa-ruangnya bermakna sejarah (Sentra Gerabah, syiar agama Islam), bermakna budaya serta bermakna alam lokal. Pelestarian makna budaya dan sejarah melalui adaptasi Sentra Gerabah menjadi Pusat Wisata Gerabah kekinian, dan pembukaan akses langsung ke masjid Keramat Kebagusan. Pelestarian makna alam lokal dengan mempertahankan integrasinya dengan alam lokal. Sosok bangunan terbuka ke alam setempat bermakna alam lokal, dan keberlanjutannya dari Sentra Gerabah bermakna sejarah. Pelestarian sosok bangunan lama dengan preservasi dan perawatan rutin, pelestarian bangunan baru dengan mempertahankan bergaya arsitektur bangunan lama, lalu dipreservasi. Tata ruang bangunan terbuka-orientasi ke tempat pembakaran lama bermakna sejarah. Pelestariannya dengan mempertahankan prinsip tata ruang terbuka dan orientasinya. Aktivitas Pusat Wisata Gerabah ini bermakna sejarah, budaya dan alam lokal. Pelestariannya, aktivitas warisan dipertahankan seperti semula, dan aktivitas masa kini diadaptasi terhadap tuntutan zaman.Kata Kunci: Bentuk, tata-ruang, sosok, fungsi, preservasi
