Abstract

Abstract- Indonesia with the characteristics of tropical climate requires control in design to achieve thermal comfort both in outside space and inside space. One of the factors that can affect thermal comfort is the pattern of air movement and air velocity. Landmark Residence Apartment is one of the new apartments in Bandung, with mass ‘U’ form in line up of new partially awakened. The newly constructed 'U' mass formation forms the characteristic of the two different masses, the space side in the closed A mass with the characteristic of the centered space as well as the side in the open mass B. this apartment become an object of research to determine the factors of order and mass form to the characteristics of air movement as well as thermal comfort in the outside space as a space of activities in residents. The method used in this research is descriptive-quantitative with simulation software Flow Design to know the air movement and measurement of thermal comfort factor at the point of population and sample which have been determined. This thermal factor will be analyzed using CET Nomogram method, so it generates thermal comfort level in outer space which will be associated with order and mass form of apartment. By using analysis of air movement patterns and CET Nomogram, it is seen that thermal comfort level in the outside space Landmark Residence apartment is more affected by wind velocity. The mass 'U' form with the back to wind direction will produce high wind velocity on the outside space of the building's side, while on the inner side of the 'U' form will form the shadow of the wind and the pattern of turbulence air movement affecting the achievement of different thermal conditions. The 'U' mass sequence lined up can also cause air movement on the inner side of closed A mass not getting enough air movement compared to open mass B with better airflow pattern. The pattern of air movement on the inner side of mass A can be at any time higher when the wind velocity enters the gap between the masses.  Key Words: apartment, outside space, mass ‘U’ form in line up, air movement, thermal comfort.

Abstract

Abstract- Designing apartment as a vertical residence should not only pay attention to aesthetics value but also aspects comfort aspects, such as thermal comfort. Apartment thermal comfort is not only limited to indoor units but also outdoor space as residents’ communal area. Sudirman Suites Apartment built in the center of Bandung City with limited land availability is selected as the research object because of the uniqueness of the building form with inner court and height variation that allows the availability of outdoor space on the floor above. Sudirman Suite Apartments’ building form and height can affect the site’s microclimate and outdoor space thermal comfort. This study aims to determine the effect of building form with inner court and height variation to thermal comfort of apartment outdoor space as well as the right solution to improve it.  This study used quantitative method, with descriptive evaluative type of research. Measurements were taken on the Sudirman Suite Apartment outdoor space such as ground floor parking area, terrace, and aisle, 1st floor inner court, 2nd floor roof garden, and sky garden on 9th and 11th floor. The measurement data then calculated into thermal comfort perception and analyzed based on theories of literature study result to reach conclusion. Influence of the building form and height to outdoor space thermal comfort the thermal comfort of Sudirman Suites Apartment analysis divided into: outdoor space on the main mass with inner court and height variations, pilotis on the ground floor of the main mass, and supporting mass addition. Besides of the building form and height, environmental factors also affect the outdoor space thermal comfort such as wind and radiative temperatures in each outdoor space. Based on this study, it is known that there is significant effect of the apartment’s form with inner court, where the comparison between blocking tower height and comparable distance between towers makes inner court area air flow tend to be low. Pilotis on the ground floor increases the speed of air flow on the ground floor. Sun radiation reduction occurs in the sky garden area overshadowed by building form with height variation. Outdoor space elements optimization is considered less optimal in supporting thermal comfort, such as the lack of plants and rooftop surface area dominated by hardscape.  Key Words: apartment, outdoor space, thermal comfort, Bandung Sudirman Suites

Abstract

Perkembangan bentuk arsitektur akan dipengaruhi dan mempengaruhi teknologistruktur-konstruksi serta materialnya. Material membran pratarik merupakan teknologimaterial tekstil baru yang berpotensi sebagai material struktur bangunan bentang besar.Material ini yang bersifat fleksibel akan mewujudkan bentukan baru dalam arsitektur.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji korelasi-kausal antara variabel bentuk (arsitektural),struktur dan konstruksi.Convention Center Yayasan Pendidikan Telkom merupakan bangunan bentang besarpermanen pertama di kota Bandung yang dirancang dengan menggunakan strukturmembran. Bangunan ini dianggap sebagai objek penelitian yang tepat guna untukmencari korelasi antar variabel.Penelitian ini mengkaji terlebih dahulu perancangan bentuk, struktur dan konstruksimelalui observasi, lalu mengkaji hubungannya. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwahubungan antara bentuk, struktur dan konstruksi yang saling mempengaruhi.Perancangan bentuk arsitektural untuk bangunan bentang besar dengan strukturmembran akan sangat dipengaruhi oleh struktur membran dan konstruksinya. Olehsebab itu perancang/arsitek harus memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup baik mengenaistruktur membran dan konstruksinya ketika proses merancang bentuk arsitekturalnya.Hal ini bermanfaat untuk mengembangkan keilmuan mengenai struktur bentang besarmembran.Kata kunci: struktur bangunan bentang besar, membran.

Abstract

Gua Maria Bukit Kanada yang terletak di kota Rangkasbitung provinsi Banten adalah salah satu tempat ziarah umat Katolik yang berada di bawah naungan Paroki Santa Maria Tak Bernoda, Keuskupan Bogor. Gua Maria ini dibangun pada tahun 1988 oleh umat dengan dukungan dariKongregasi Suster-suster Fransiskan Sukabumi. Gua Maria ini lalu diberkati oleh Uskup Bogor Mgr. Ign. Harsono, Pr. Gua ini merupakan tempat ziarah pertama di tanah Banten.Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, Gua Maria ini telah menginjak umur 25 tahun. Paroki Santa Maria Tak Bernoda – Rangkasbitung, Banten merasa perlu untuk menata ulang kawasan ini, sekaligus membuatkan masterplan dalam rangka pengembangan kawasan ziarah dan salah satu pusat kegiatan keagamaan di Rangkasbitung seiring dengan peningkatan kebutuhan untuk pelayanan umat di Rangkasbitung. Atas permintaan pihak paroki melalui Pastor Paroki, Unpar menugaskan tim pengabdian masyarakat untuk merespon dan membantu kebutuhan tersebut.Tim pembuatan Materplan Lingkungan Gua Maria Bukit Kanada telah ditugaskan untuk membuat desain materplan sesuai dengan kondisi eksisting tapak yang ada berdasarkan survei lapangan dan juga sesuai dengan kebutuhan ruang baik sebagai pendukung kegiatan Gua Mariamaupun sebagai pendukung kegiatan Paroki setempat. Analisis terhadap potensi tapak dan kebutuhan akan fungsi telah dilakukan selama proses pengembangan desain agar desain masterplan yang dihasilkan sesuai untuk kebutuhan umat namun tetap sesuai dengan lingkunganfisik dan budaya masyarakat setempat.Proses pembuatan masterplan dibagi menjadi 3 tahap (secara garis besar), yaitu : pengumpulan data dan analisa awal (November-Desember 2013), pembuatan konsep & masterplan serta pembuatan gambar penataan rinci untuk area Gua Maria (detail), dan terakhir adalah pengembangan desain masterplan (jika diperlukan). Kegiatan ini telah menghasilkan usulan konsep penataan area Gua Maria berupa 2 alternatif desain, sesuai permintaan pihak Paroki. Hasil rancangan telah dipresentasikan kepada Uskup Bogor menjelang akhir tahun 2014,dan tim dimohon untuk melanjutkan rancangan dengan mengerucutkan menjadi satu rancangan berdasarkan masukan-masukan yang telah diberikan.

Abstract

Pembuatan konsep masterplan telah dilaksanakan pada tahun 2014 dan di bulan Januari 2015 telah dipresentasikan/dibahas bersama para stakeholders (Keuskupan Bogor, Paroki Rangkasbitung, Pengelola Gua Maria,Pengelola Akper Yatna Yuana yang berada satu tapak dengan kawasan Gua Maria, danperwakilan umat).Kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dilakukan pada tahun 2015 ini adalah berupa pengerjaan pendetailan gambar rancangan tapak dan bangunan di Kompleks Gua Maria sehingga siap dijadikan dokumen acuan untuk pelaksanaan pekerjaan pembangunan.

Abstract

Rancangan bangunan paling mudah dikenali dari aspek bentuknya, sehingga banyak bangunan (khususnya bangunan komersil) yang dirancang dengan bentuk yang unik/menarik.Upaya menyajikan bentuk menarik tersebut berkaitan erat dan dapat mempengaruhi ruang dalam maupun luar, struktur, dan enclosure (elemen pelingkupnya).Bangunan‐bangunan dengan bentuk yang dinamis (tidak sederhana) adalah objek yang menarik untuk menjadi bahan kajian mengenai korelasi bentuk dan struktur dalamproses perancangan karya arsitektur. Kompleks bangunan di Ciwalk Extention, Bandung yang relatif baru, berkarakter unik, dan berbeda dari bangunan pada umumnya adalah salahsatu contoh yang perlu dikaji, antara lain karena karakternya yang dinamis dengan penggunaan bentuk‐bentuk lengkung/kurva, miring, variasi bentuk yang cukup beragam, dan olahan fasad yang cukup variatif. Selain itu, penggunaan bentuk lengkung dan pemecahan sistem strukturnya dapat memiliki konsekuensi terhadap ruang luar dan dalam, serta jugaperlu ditunjang oleh pemilihan material dan metode konstruksi yang cenderung lebih kompleks dibandingkan bangunan berbentuk geometris standar.Penelitian evaluatif dengan metode kualitatif ini dilakukan dengan observasi objek dan pengumpulan data‐data visual berupa gambar dan foto bangunan di kompleks CiwalkExtention, serta survei terhadap narasumber yang terlibat dalam proses perencanaan bangunan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa fungsi bangunan berupa mal/ritellebih memberi keleluasaan dalam merancang bentuk dinamis. Struktur diberi peran yang cukup besar dalam tampilan bangunan dan tidak sekedar mendukung bentuk. Enclosureuntuk bentuk dinamis membutuhkan banyak penyelesaian teknis agar tidak berdampak negatif pada maintenance dan tampilan bangunan. Rancangan bangunan secara keseluruhandipengaruhi oleh penjiwaan yang kuat secara arsitektur untuk menghadirkan rancangan ‘baru’, dengan tetap memperhatikan prinsip‐prinsip objektif dalam merancang. Bentuk dirancang dengan pertimbangan terkait konteks tapak & fungsi, serta persyaratan teknis secara memadai.Kata kunci: bentuk dinamis, bentuk dan ruang, bentuk dan struktur, bentuk dan enclosure

Abstract

Abstrak - Alfa Omega School is a school that has a design that responds to nature. The design strategy is made in such a way that in terms of design concepts, it answers the climate problems in which the school is built. Located in an area that has a tropical climate, with more specifically swamps and rice fields, the climate around the place feels uncomfortable with high temperatures and humidity levels that are above the level of thermal comfort for activities. The school is designed by processing the building skin. Raw Architect, as the party who designed this school, chose brick material for the main reason of raising the locality in the area. In addition, by using brick material as part of the architectural elements in the building, they can create a carbon footprint to a minimum, namely emissions from human activities that in a long time will have a negative impact on nature, which means they can create designs that are not only elevating locality but also environmentally friendly. The purpose of this research is to see whether the effect of deinding with hollow brick arrangement in the room building envelope design on the thermal comfort that is being made in the Alfa Omega School design. This research is an evaluative-experimental research with a quantitative approach by describing conditions and conditions both in terms of architectural and thermal comfort, which are then compared to the theory of thermal comfort in general and more specifically as a school. This research was conducted indirectly through the media of computers, the internet, and a simulation program to measure the level of thermal comfort at the Alpha Omega School. The result of his research is an understanding of how the influence of the wall with a hollow brick arrangement as a building envelope in response to the existing climate in the area, so that it can be understood how the ability of the tire walls in the space to achieve thermal comfort that can support the activity in it as school. And if thermal discomfort is found in the application of this material as a building envelope, a way to optimize its thermal quality will be sought with simulation theories and experiments. Abstract

Abstract - In the development of tourism villages, it is necessary to study the local potential that can be raised to empower the community, give a distinctive feature to local local tourism, while still emphasizing sustainable principles, including cultural preservation. Mangunan Village located in Bantul District – Yogyakarta Province has local Javanese architectural characters (including Limasan House Architecture) which can be appointed as one of the tourist attractions. For this purpose, documentation, studies of the condition of existing buildings, as well as studies of the potential and constraints of their use more broadly/long-term in supporting tourism. In addition, tourism development policies that have been implemented also need to be evaluated in order to improve the development plan of Mangunan Tourism Village. Abstract

Abstract: This paper aims to reveal the physical system of Javanese cultural values in the architecture of Tebing Watu Mabur tourist destination. Using the descriptive method, the physical system of the object (figure, layout, materials, activities) and its purpose are observed, then the meaning/value of Javanese Culture is deeply observed with contemplation. The design of the mass-space layout of the tourist site refers to the North-South axis in accordance with the Philosophical axis of Yogyakarta Palace. The design of the grass field considers the harmony of the diversity of user groups and the preservation of the natural environment. The Panggang-pe traditional architectural style was chosen for the stalls and guard posts, following the tradition of village selling places, related to local social and natural relations. The Limasan variety of Pendopo 2 is open to all four sides for social activities of users while enjoying the cliff nature. The combination of traditional-modern materials as a contemporary form of traditional Javanese architecture. The architectural design of this cliff tourism destination means the harmony of nature and the physical system of local Javanese cultural values.Keyword: Traditional, Javanese culture, modern Abstrak: Tulisan ini bertujuan mengungkap sistem fisik-nilai Budaya Jawa dalam arsitektur destinasi wisata Tebing Watu Mabur. Digunakan metoda deskriptif, sistem fisik objek (sosok, tata ruang, material, aktivitas) dan tujuannya diobservasi, lalu makna/nilai Budaya Jawanya diamati mendalam disertai perenungan. Desain tata massa-ruang tapak wisata mengacu pada poros Utara-Selatan sesuai dengan sumbu Filosofis Kraton Yogyakarta. Rancangan lapangan rumput memperhatikan keharmonisan dari keberagaman kelompok pengguna dan kelestarian lingkungan alam. Dipilih ragam arsitektur traisional Panggang-pe untuk warung dan pos jaga, mengikuti tradisi tempat berjualan masyarakat desa, terkait relasi sosial dan alam setempat. Ragam Limasan Pendopo 2 terbuka ke empat sisinya untuk aktivitas sosial pengguna sambil menikmati-merasakan alam tebing. Paduan material tradisional-modern sebagai wujud kekinian arsitektur tradisional Jawa. Rancangan arsitektur destinasi wisata  tebing ini bermakna keserasian alam dan sistem fisik-nilai Budaya Jawa setempat.Kata Kunci: Tradisional, Budaya Jawa, modern.

Abstract

The decline of fossil fuel resources and the increasing global demand for electricity have intensified the need for renewable energy. Solar energy, one of the most abundant and sustainable energy sources, can be actively harnessed through photovoltaic systems. The use of photovoltaic systems can be integrated into building envelopes, one of which is on the facade. The integration of photovoltaics on façades must consider both technical factors such as location, climate, and panel type, and architectural aspects related to aesthetics. China, as one of the world’s leading photovoltaic industries, provides valuable case studies of buildings that integrate photovoltaic systems into their envelopes. This study aims to examine the application of photovoltaic panels from both technical and architectural perspectives in two buildings: the Shanghai Electric Power Building and the Adidas Flagship Store Beijing. A case study research method was employed, consisting of a literature review, analysis (including solar orientation, photovoltaic panel materials, and façade area) of the two case study buildings, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that both buildings successfully demonstrate the application of photovoltaic systems within their respective contexts. The Shanghai Electric Power Building illustrates the significant potential of PV systems in retrofitting existing architecture, whereas the Adidas Flagship Store highlights the synergy between aesthetics and technological functionality in new architectural design. The integration of renewable technology and architectural design is essential in creating buildings that are not only environmentally sustainable but also possess high aesthetic and economic value for the future.
