Abstract

Regency of Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) is one of regencies in South Sumatera Province. As newly formed districts cause the lack of facilities and infrastructure to support public needs. This is because the local government is currently more focused on development and infrastructure. As a result of the unavailability of various public facilities in the Pali regency, many activities and events held by local government agencies and private sector should be held in places that are not in accordance with its function, due to the absence of buildings that can accommodate these activities. The development of Pali district into a new district will certainly be a lot of large-scale events to be held in Pali District. The planning of the Convention Center in Pali Regency is planned with the assumption that 10 years ahead the condition of urban infrastructure and economy of Pali regency have progressed, so that there will be more activities in Pali regency, and more and more investors entering Pali regency can become target market for the Convention Center Building.Key words: Public Facilities, events, infrastructure, Convention Center.

Abstract

Palembang is one of the cities in Indonesia which has a large river, namely the Musi River. The Musi River divides the city of Palembang into two parts, namely across the Ulu and across the Ilir. The life of the people of Palembang has been very close to the river where many life activities take place in the river. Along the river there are many traditional settlements, one of which is a raft house we called is rumah rakit. The beginning of the appearance of the raft house is inseparable from the political history in the Palembang, where at that time foreigners who came to the Palembang were not allowed to have a place to live on the mainland, so many immigrants built houses on the river. But now the existence of raft houses is starting to be abandoned along with changes in the government system where everyone can own and build a house on the mainland. The characteristics of buildings above the river certainly have significant differences when compared to buildings built on land, so it is necessary to conduct an in-depth study of raft houses. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the raft house in terms of architecture, structure, building materials and utility systems. To find the characteristics of the raft house, this research was conducted through a descriptive-analytic qualitative research method approach, namely analyzing each component of the raft building. The results obtained in the study indicate that the design of the raft house is an adaptive result to the geographical conditions of the Musi river and is different from existing buildings on the mainland.

Abstract

Palembang merupakan salah satu kota di Indonesia yang memiliki sungai besar yaitu sungai Musi. Sungai Musi yang membelah kota Palembang menjadi dua bagian yaitu bagian ulu dan bagian ilir. Kehidupan masyarakat Kota Palembang sejak dahulu sangat erat dengan sungai dimana aktifitas kehidupan banyak berlangsung di sungai. Disepanjang sungai banyak terdapat permukiman-permukiman tradisional, salah satunya adalah rumah rakit. Awal mula muncul rumah rakit tidak terlepas dari sejarah politik yang ada di Kota Palembang dimana saat itu bagi orang asing yang datang ke Kota Palembang tidak boleh memiliki tempat tinggal di daratan sehingga banyak pendatang yang membangun rumah diatas sungai. Namun saat ini keberadaan rumah rakit mulai ditinggalkan seiring dengan perubahan sistem pemerintahan dimana semua orang dapat memiliki dan membangunan rumah di daratan. Karakteristik bangunan diatas sungai tentu memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan jika dibandingkan dengan bangunan yang dibangun di daratan sehingga perlu dilakukan kajian yang mendalam terhadap bangunan rumah rakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik yang ada pada bangunan rumah rakit yang ditinjau dari sisi arsitektur, struktur, material bangunan dan sistem utilitasnya. Untuk menemukan karakteristik rumah rakit maka, dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif analitik yaitu menganalisa setiap komponen bangunan rumah rakit yang ada. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain rumah rakit merupakan hasil adaftif terhadap kondisi geografis sungai Musi yang berbeda dengan bangunan di daratan.

Abstract

Abstrak Workshop ini bertujuan untuk merancang infrastruktur kota yang ramah sepeda di Kota Palembang dengan fokus pada keberlanjutan dan mobilitas hijau. Menghadapi masalah kemacetan dan polusi udara akibat urbanisasi, perancangan jalur sepeda yang aman dan terintegrasi dengan transportasi umum menjadi solusi yang penting. Dalam kegiatan ini, peserta adalah mahasiswa dan pemerintah kota Palembang lebih kurang 100 orang berkolaborasi untuk menghasilkan desain jalur sepeda yang mendukung transportasi hijau, dilengkapi dengan fasilitas publik seperti parkir sepeda dan ruang hijau. Studi kasus Kota Palembang diangkat untuk menunjukkan potensi pengurangan emisi karbon dan peningkatan kualitas hidup warga melalui pengembangan infrastruktur sepeda. Hasil PKM adalah  desain yang dapat diimplementasikan oleh pemerintah kota untuk mewujudkan mobilitas perkotaan yang berkelanjutan. Kasus yang diangkat dalam workshop ini adalah Kota Palembang, yang memiliki potensi besar untuk mengembangkan jaringan sepeda yang efisien guna mengurangi ketergantungan pada kendaraan bermotor. Perancangan infrastruktur ramah sepeda, diharapkan dapat tercipta budaya bersepeda di kalangan warga kota sekaligus mendukung target Kota Palembang dalam upaya pengurangan emisi karbon dan peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat. Tujuan  workshop ini adalah desain infrastruktur kota ramah sepeda yang dapat diimplementasikan oleh pemerintah kota dalam rangka menciptakan mobilitas perkotaan yang lebih berkelanjutan dan hijau. Kata kunci: perancangan infrastruktur; kota ramah sepeda; keberlanjutan; mobilitas hijau; kota palembang; urbanisasi. Abstract This workshop aims to design bicycle-friendly city infrastructure in Palembang City with a focus on sustainability and green mobility. Facing the problems of congestion and air pollution due to urbanization, designing safe bicycle lanes integrated with public transportation is an important solution. In this activity, participants were students and the Palembang city government, approximately 100 people collaborated to produce a bicycle lane design that supports green transportation, equipped with public facilities such as bicycle parking and green spaces. The case study of Palembang City was raised to show the potential for reducing carbon emissions and improving the quality of life of residents through the development of bicycle infrastructure. The results of the PKM are designs that can be implemented by the city government to realize sustainable urban mobility. The case raised in this workshop is Palembang City, which has great potential to develop an efficient bicycle network to reduce dependence on motorized vehicles. The design of bicycle-friendly infrastructure is expected to create a cycling culture among city residents while supporting the targets of Palembang City in efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve public health. The purpose of this workshop is to design bicycle-friendly city infrastructure that can be implemented by the city government in order to create more sustainable and green urban mobility. Keywords: infrastructure design; bicycle-friendly city; sustainability; green mobility; city palembang; urbanization.
