Abstract

Thalassina scorpionides (Rama-Rama) belong to the Thalassina genus and act as a detritivor. However, information on the density of T. scorpionides based on domestic and overseas literature is still low therefore research needs to be done on population density of T. scorpionides in Mangrove Ecosystem of Reuleung River Leupung District of Aceh Besar Regency. The research was conducted in July 2017. The purpose of this study was to determine the population density of T. scorpionides. Data obtained through survey method with purposive sampling technique. The sampling location is divided into 5 stations and each station has 3 plots. Population density analysis using population density formula. The result showed that population density of T. scorpionides at station I was 3 ind / m2, station II 1 ind / m2, station III 1 ind / m2, station IV 1 ind / m2, and station V 2 ind / m2. Population density of T. scorpionides is most common in station I and the lowest population density is found in station III. Abiotic factor at location of observation station of T. scorpionides that is temperature of water ranged from 25oC-31oC, air temperature 25oC-33oC, salinity of 17 ‰ -22 ‰, and soil pH ranged from 5-7.2, water pH ranged from 5-7.4 and substrate in the form of sandy clay soils, fine pebbles, sludge mud, gravel, and muddy.

Abstract

Plankton has a very important role, especially from the feed chain (the main producer) and as a bioindicator of fertility levels, on the Krueng Daroy River. This study aims to determine the air quality of Krueng Daroy based on the level of information and to find out information in Krueng Daroy, Aceh Province. This research method is a survey with a purposive sampling technique with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data collection was conducted for 3 sampling times, with an interval of 3 days for 9 days in 3 research locations with each location consisting of 3 stations. The usability level was analyzed by calculating the Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index, and determining the quality descriptively. The results obtained a plankton diversity index in Krueng Daroy between 2,274 to 2,565 with moderate polluted air quality. The results of the plankton process in the Krueng Daroy River are moderate, with moderate polluted air quality.

Abstract

Information about the condition of the elephants at the Elephant Conservation Center (PKG) Saree, Aceh Besar, related to elephant care that can affect the level of animal welfare. This research aims to identify caregiving conditions of Sumatran Elephant in the PKG Saree, Aceh Besar accordance with the level of animal welfare in the environment of domestication. Study of condition of elephant care using 18 variable that refers to the five principles of animal welfare shoppers. This data is used in applicable data primary and secondary data. Primary data collected through triangulation: participatory observation, structured interviews, and documentation. The data obtained is then compiled using the Likert scale took place applies appropriate answer (score 3), lack of appropriate (score 2), and is not appropriate (score 1). Data analysis techniques using Model Miles and Huberman. Abstract

This study is entitled "Polychaeta Diversity in the Glass-kacu Waters of Nasi Island, Pulau Aceh District, Aceh Besar Regency". Polychaeta is a worm that belongs to the Phylum Annelida which has a setae, a broad body, so that its cosmopolitan life in various types of marine ecosystems. The purpose of this study, to determine the level of diversity of Polychaeta species found in the Glass-Kacu Waters and to determine the physical-chemical environmental conditions. The method used survey method with purposive sampling technique based on the presence of Polychaeta in the waters. Data analysis uses the Shannon-Winner diversity index formula, analyzed descriptively and displayed in tables. The results of the study were 10 species of Polychaeta from 5 families. The level of diversity of Polychaeta which is located at two stations in the waters of Pulau Nasi, Pulau Aceh District, Aceh Besar Regency is classified as low with diversity index adalah = 1.3158. The species that dominates in the Glass-kacu waters is Spirobranchus giganteus. For the measurement of physics-chemical factors for temperatures ranging from 24 0C-28 0C, pH 7.0 to 8.17, and 300/00-320/00. Keywords: Polychaeta Diversity, Cosmopolitan Penelitian ini berjudul “Keanekaragaman Polychaeta di Perairan Kaca-kacu Pulau Nasi Kecamatan Pulau Aceh Kabupaten Aceh Besar”. Polychaeta adalah cacing yang termasuk dalam Filum Annelida yang memiliki setae, tubuh beruas-ruas hingga penuh kosmopolitan di berbagai tipe ekosistem laut. Tujuan penelitian ini, untuk mengetahui tingkat populasi spesies Polychaeta yang terdapat di Perairan Kaca-Kacu serta untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor lingkungan fisika-kimia. Metode yang digunakan metode survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Samplingberdasarkan penyelesaian Polychaeta di perjalanan. Analisis data menggunakan rumus indeks variasi Shannon-Winner, dianalisis secara deskriptif dan diselesaikan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil penelitian Ada 10 spesies Polychaeta dari 5 famili. Tingkat keragaman Polychaeta yang bergantung pada dua stasiun di Kawasan Perairan Pulau Nasi Kecamatan Pulau Aceh Kabupaten Aceh Besar di katogorikan rendah dengan indeks keanekaragamannya adalah Ĥ = 1,3158. Spesies yang menentang di daerah Perikanan Kaca-kacu adalah Spirobranchus giganteus . Untuk Pengukuran faktor fisika-kimia untuk review Suhu berkisar 24 0 C-28 0 C, pH 7,0- 8,17, Dan 30 0 / 00 -32 0 / 00 .Kata Kunci: Keanekaragaman Polychaeta, Kosmopolitan

Abstract

Research on Identification of Diurnal Insect in Kampung Padang Plantation, Terangun Subdistrict, Gayo lues Regency was conducted in March to April 2019. This study aims (1) to find out the diurnal insect species found in Kampung Padang Plantation, Terangun Subdistrict, Gayo Lues Regency (2) to find out description of diurnal insect species found in the Kampung Padang Plantation, Terangun District, Gayo Lues Regency. (3) to determine the percentage of insect species present in the Kampung Padang Plantation, Terangun District, Gayo Lues Regency. This type of research is descriptive research. The research method used is exploring. The research location is divided into three observation stations. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study (1) found 12 species of diurnal insects in the Padang village plantation Terangun sub-district Gayo Lues (2) insect species found originating from the order Lepidoptera (18 species), Coleoptera (35 species), Orthoptera (31 species), Hemiptera (25 species) species), Odoata (7 species), Diptera (18 species), and Hymenoptera (9 species) and (3) Insecta species with the highest level of attendance, originating from the Orthoptera and Coleoptera orders, while the least insect species originating from the Odonata order and Hymenoptera. The conclusion is that there are 12 species of diurnal insects consisting of 7 orders, and 12 families.

Abstract

Keywords: Macrozoobentos, Diversity, River Rainforest Lodges Kedah. Rainforest Lodges are a tourist attaraction that is also used as a place for research activities. Various human activities such as disposal of industrial waste and household waste cause a decrease in river water quality, resulting in the river is no longer able to recover resulting in diversity of aquatic biota, one of which is macrozoobenthos activity. The study was conducted in September to October 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of macrozoobenthos diversity, and to determine the physical and chemical conditions of the waters. The method used is a survey method, with a purposive sampling, technique based on the presence of freshwater macrozoobentos. Data analysis uses the Shannon-Wiener diversity index formula. The result of the study were 15 macrozoobentos species from 15 families. Diversity index at each station I with H'= 1,63, at station II with H'= 2,08, and at station III with H'= 1,70.  The conclusion in this study is the level of diversity of macrozoobenthos species the waters of the Rainforest Lodges Kedah, Blangjerango District, Gayo Lues Regency is classified as moderate (range 1,63-2,08). And the result of measurements obtained physical chemistry of aquatic factors obtained ranged from 27º C-30º C, the pH water obtained ranges from 7,5-8,9, depth ranges between 1,2-1,4 m. Depth ranges between as for salinity 0‰-0,01‰.Kata kunci : keanekaragaman, makrozoobentos, sungai Rainforest Lodges Kedah Rainforest Lodges Kedah adalah satu tempat wisata yang juga dijadikan tempat untuk kegiatan penelitian. Banyaknya aktivitas manusia seperti pembuangan limbah industri, limbah rumah tangga mengakibatkan menurunnya kualitas air sungai, menjadikankan sungai tidak mampu lagi melakukan pemulihan, berakibat pada keanekaragaman biota perairan salah satunya aktivitas makrozoobentos. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September sampai Oktober 2019. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) mengetahui tingkat keanekaragaman makrozoobentos, dan untuk (2) mengetahui kondisi fisika dan kimia perairan. Adapun Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode survey, dengan teknik purposive sampling, berdasarkan kehadiran makrozoobentos air tawar. Analisa data menggunakan rumus indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener. Hasil penelitian terdapat 15 spesies makrozoobentos dari 15 famili. Indeks keanekaragaman di setiap stasiun, stasiun I dengan H'= 1,63, pada stasiun II dengan H'= 2,08, dan pada stasiun III dengan H'= 1,70.  Adapun kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah tingkat keanekaragaman spesies makrozoobentos di perairan sungai Rainforest Lodges Kedah Kecamatan Blangjerango Kabupaten Gayo Lues tergolong sedang (kisaran 1,63-2,08) dan hasil pengukuran faktor fisika-kimia yang diperoleh berkisar antara 27º C-30º C, pH air diperoleh berkisar antara 7,5-8,9, kedalaman berkisar antara 1,2-1,4 m. Sedangkan untuk salinitas adalah 0‰-0,01‰.

Abstract

Research on the characteristics of Mangrove Crab Habit (Scylla sp) in Silang Cadek Mangrove Ecosystem, Baitussalam Subdistrict, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province. This study aims to determine the habitat characteristics of Mangrove Crab (Scylla sp) in the Mangrove Ecosystem of Silang Cadek. The research method is survey with purposive sampling technique. The results of the survey are described. The results of the research showed that the water temperature data ranged from 22 s.d 25°C, the pH ranged from 7.5 to 7.7, the water salinity ranged from 30‰ -34‰. Substrate loamy sand, sandy loam, sandy clay loam. There are 4 constituent species of mangrove plants namely Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Rhizopora stylosa, Rhizopora apiculata, Avicennia marina. Macrozoobenthos found were Nerita lineata, Uca crassipes, Terebralia palustris, Terebralia sulcata, Isognomon ephippium, Saccostrea cucculata, Uca demani, Scylla serrata, Scylla olivacea, Scylla paramamosain.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) know the composition of juvenile spat of Geloina erosa, and (2) find out the ratio of juveli Spat on the estuary area of the river, the flow and the headwaters of estuary area of the river in mangrove ecosystem Reuleung River Leupung, Aceh Besar district. The study was conducted in May and June 2015 in mangrove area Reuleung River Leupung Aceh Besar district. The research location was divided into three stations, namely station 1 at estuary area, station 2 at river flow and station 3 at headwaters of estuary of Reuleung River Leupung, Aceh Besar district. The samples were taken three times at three stations. In every stations and observations, 5 plot with size 1mx1m were taken. Juvenile spat composition was analyzed by using percentage, while the ratio of juvenile Spat was analyzed by using Chi-square. The results showed that the composition of the juveniles in the estuary area was 26.09% and in the flow area was 50.00%, while at the headwaters of estuary of the river was 0%. The composition of Spat at estuary location was 1 73.01%, at two regional river flow was 50% and at 3 locations of headwaters of estuary was 0%. The ratio between juvenile Spat at the estuary area was 1:3, while at the river flow was 1:1, and at the headwaters of estuary was 0:0. The conclusions were (1) The composition of the juvenile and spat were varied, and (2) the ratio of juvenile Spat in the Reuleung River Leupung Aceh Besar district was balanced and unbalanced.

Abstract

Perbedaan kondisi geografis hulu sungai Krueng Raba bersinggungan dengan gua kapur yang mengandung fosfor memungkinkan terjadinya peledakan pertumbuhan fitoplankton. Fitoplankton berperan sebagai produsen utama sedangkan zooplankton sebagai konsumen pertama di ekosistem perairan. Pertumbuhan populasi yang berlebihan akibat dari masuknya nutrisi ke dalam air (eutrofikasi) merupakan penyebab terjadinya blooming, sehingga kurangnya kadar oksigen terlarut dalam air. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kepadatan plankton di Hulu Sungai Krueng Raba Kecamatan Lhoknga Kabupaten Aceh Besar dengan menggunakan metode survey dengan teknik purpossive sampling. Lokasi pengambilan sampel dibagi menjadi 4 stasiun, pada setiap stasiun ditentukan 3 titik pengamatan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan seminggu sekali dalam 2 area pengambilan (permukaan air dan kedalaman 2 m) dan 2 waktu (pagi-siang dan siang-sore) dengan total 4 kali pengambilan. Analisis data menggunakan rumus Kepadatan. Nilai kepadatan tertinggi pada area pengambilan di permukaan air didapat pada Stasiun I yaitu 558 idv/L, sedangkan pada Stasiun II, III dan IV nilai kepadatan adalah 432 idv/L, 387 idv/L dan 432 idv/L. Nilai kepadatan tertinggi pada area pengambilan di kedalaman 2 m didapat pada Stasiun I yaitu 585 idv/L, sedangkan pada Stasiun II, III dan IV adalah 522 idv/L, 531 idv/L dan 540 idv/L.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the pattern of distribution of Acanthopleura gemmata and the characteristics of the habitat of Acanthopleura gemmata, in Lhoknga Coastal Waters, Aceh Besar District. The research method is observation. The research area was divided into 4 locations namely I Cemara Beach, location II Pasi Jalang Beach, location III Simet Beach and location IV Ujong Lhoknga Beach, Aceh Besar District. Sampling was carried out along the Litoral Zone. Parameters in this study are biological parameters and physico-chemical parameters. Data analysis used the Morishita Index and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The physico-chemical environmental factors at Lhoknga Beach are water temperature (28C-38C), sediment temperature (28C-38C) pH (6.81-6.95?7), and salinity (25o/oo-26o/oo). The results showed that the Simet Beach Morishita Index was 1.05 ?1, Ujung Beach was 1.01 ?1, while Cemara Beach and Pasi Jalang Beach did not have Acanthopleura gemmata. Habitat characteristics of Acanthopleura gemmata are found in coral rocks, moss and sand substrates. The conclusion of this study is the distribution pattern of Acanthopleura gemmata in the littoral zone of Lhoknga Beach which is random, the habitat characteristics of Acanthopleura gemmata are coral reefs, moss and sand sediments, while the distribution pattern has a positive relationship with the physical-chemical environmental factors of Acanthopleura gemmata which includes pH, except for salinity, water temperature and sediment temperature.Key words: distribution patterns, habitat characteristics, Lhoknga Beach
