Abstract

ABSTRACT Used of synthetic dye in the textile industry produced liquid waste if it is not recycle with properly, it can cause pollution and contamination of water both on the surface and every drop used by humans, disrupting ecosystems and even killing life in aquatic ecosystems. Therefore, an alternative to synthetic dye is neededby using plants as natural dye. Leaves can be used for their color content, leaf bones and leaf surfaces can be used as textile motif called ecoprint. This research purposing to find out the types of plants that can be used as materials for making ecoprint as a substitute for synthetic dye and also to find out the parts of plants that can be used as materialfor making ecoprint. The research method used is descriptive qualitative from literature study and literature references regarding data and information related to research. The results showed there are 30 types of plants that can be used in ecoprint. Thishabitus plants is herbaceous, vines, shrubs, shrubs and trees. From herbaceous habitus found 5 species of plants, 3 species of vine habitus, 7 species of bush habitus, 10 species of shrub habitus and 5 species of tree habitus. The parts of plants that can be used in making ecoprints are the leaves, flowers, stems and roots. The results showed there were 30 species of plants from 21 families that could be used in making ecoprint. The parts of plant can be used in making ecoprintare parts, leaves, flowers, stems and roots, but not all parts of every type of plant can be used in the process of making ecoprint. Keywords: Ethnobotanical Studies, Ecoprint, Synthetic Dyes, Natural Dyes, HabitusREFERENCE[1] Lubis, E. Abstract

ABSTRACT The creation of probiotic food/drinks emerged from awareness of the importance of public health and the role of probiotics in improving the balance of the gut microbiota. In this context, probiotics provide significant benefits for the digestive and immune systems. However, there are still many people who do not know the benefits of probiotics and how to include them in their daily diet. Therefore, through this outreach activity, it is hoped that it can increase public understanding about probiotics and provide practical skills in making probiotic food/drinks at home. The methods used in PkM activities are lectures/presentation of material, demonstrations, discussions and presentations. Several steps in the process of making yoghurt, namely: (1) Selection of raw materials, (2) Heating the milk, (3) Cooling the milk, (4) Adding starter culture, (5) Fermentation for 8-12 hours, (6) Cooling and storage. It should be noted that variations in raw materials, methods and types of lactic acid bacteria used can produce yoghurt with different characteristics. Therefore, the process of making yoghurt in this PKM activity meets halalan thayyiban standards.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the pattern of distribution of Acanthopleura gemmata and the characteristics of the habitat of Acanthopleura gemmata, in Lhoknga Coastal Waters, Aceh Besar District. The research method is observation. The research area was divided into 4 locations namely I Cemara Beach, location II Pasi Jalang Beach, location III Simet Beach and location IV Ujong Lhoknga Beach, Aceh Besar District. Sampling was carried out along the Litoral Zone. Parameters in this study are biological parameters and physico-chemical parameters. Data analysis used the Morishita Index and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The physico-chemical environmental factors at Lhoknga Beach are water temperature (28C-38C), sediment temperature (28C-38C) pH (6.81-6.95?7), and salinity (25o/oo-26o/oo). The results showed that the Simet Beach Morishita Index was 1.05 ?1, Ujung Beach was 1.01 ?1, while Cemara Beach and Pasi Jalang Beach did not have Acanthopleura gemmata. Habitat characteristics of Acanthopleura gemmata are found in coral rocks, moss and sand substrates. The conclusion of this study is the distribution pattern of Acanthopleura gemmata in the littoral zone of Lhoknga Beach which is random, the habitat characteristics of Acanthopleura gemmata are coral reefs, moss and sand sediments, while the distribution pattern has a positive relationship with the physical-chemical environmental factors of Acanthopleura gemmata which includes pH, except for salinity, water temperature and sediment temperature.Key words: distribution patterns, habitat characteristics, Lhoknga Beach

Abstract

Murraya paniculata L., Jack (Kemuning) is a traditional medicinal plant that has great potential in treating various diseases but is still not scientifically researched. The urgency of this research lies in the need to develop safe and effective kemuning-based traditional medicine through a deeper understanding of its phytochemical content and pharmacological activity. This study aims to explore and identify active compounds in Murraya paniculata L., as well as evaluate their pharmacological potential. This plant is widely used as an anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, antihyperlipidemic, antinociceptive, anticarcinogenic, antiaging, antitumor, analgesic activity, treating asthma, melanogenesis and tyrosinase activity. It is hoped that this research can make a significant contribution to the development of traditional medicine based on Indonesian natural resources and increase the use of kemuning in modern medicine.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of learning models on understanding concepts and students' motivation in invertebrate concept in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur. The research method used in this study is a survey method. The subjects in this study were biology teachers who teach in class X and students in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Sukamakmur. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and interviews. Questionnaires were used to obtain data on student responses about student learning motivation in invertebrate concept. Interviews were conducted to obtain information about the using of learning models in invertebrate concepts used by teachers. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires to class XI students to find out student responses regarding student learning motivation in invertebrate concept. Then interviews were conducted with the teacher to get answers from the teacher by means of one-sided questions and answers regarding the learning model used by the teacher in studying invertebrate concept. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the learning model used by the teacher when teaching invertebrate concept is Jigsaw. However, the learning model has not been able to improve students' conceptual understanding, this can be seen from the average score obtained by students which is still far below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) that has been set by the teacher, namely with an average value of only 31. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis The questionnaire shows that 53% of students are motivated to learn and 47% of students are not motivated to learn about invertebrate concept. Almost half of the total number of students are not motivated in learning From the results of the study it can be concluded that not all learning models are suitable for use in every concept. This can be seen from the scores obtained by students who have not yet reached the KKM and the learning model used by the teacher has not been able to increase students' motivation in studying invertebrate concept.

Abstract

Types of organic waste produced by households can be processed and reused if people know how to manage it. However, Types of organic waste produced by households can be processed and reused if people know how to manage it. However, the lack of public awareness and knowledge regarding the use and management of waste has resulted in the waste simply piling up and being thrown away, which can damage the environment. In fact, organic waste can be used as fertilizer, animal feed or ecoenzyme. This research aims to determine the content and benefits of using eco enzymes in various areas of life. The research method used is descriptive research method. The data collection technique uses the library study method/literature review obtained from relevant research journals, articles and books. Ecoenzyme fluid contains several types of biological and chemical compounds, namely: Lipase enzymes, Trypsin, Amylase, Acetic acid, Alcohol, Propionic acid, Alkaloids, Saponins, Flavonoids, Phenol, Zn, Mn, Fe, Ca, Mg, S, B, P , K, N, NO3, CO3, O3. Ecoenzyme fluids are useful in the economic, agricultural, environmental, health, household, food and automotive industries.
