Abstract

This study aims to identify the percentage of algorithmic and conceptual understanding on thermochemical lessons in the students of academic year of 2014/2015 grade XI SMAN 4 Banda Aceh. This study will contribute to determine the conceptual and algorithmic understanding of students, so that thermochemical lessons can use appropriate learning models in order to produce high level conceptual and algorithmic capabilities. A simple random sampling was used in this study, in which data was collected by using instrument tests: questionnairesand interviews. The research subjects were 50 students of class XI- IA SMAN 14. This study applied a descriptive quantitative method.. Based on the percentage of conceptual understanding and algorithmic derived on A1C1 was 8%, A1C0 was 4%, A0C1 was 20%, A0C0 was 0%, and there was 68% of students who have the algorithmic and conceptual understanding in the middle. This preliminary research is so significant for future research.

Abstract

Students' interest in learning chemistry, especially in acid-base titration material during the pandemic, makes the learning process ineffective, students tend to be quiet and not interested in learning. The application of learning that can be used during a pandemic is online learning. This study aims to measure students' interest in learning through the application of online learning and to describe student learning activities and student reactions to the application of online learning. The type of research used is quantitative research with quasi-experimental methods and the One Group Posttest-Only Design. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Banda Aceh with 28 students in class XI MIA 4 taking samples using purposive sampling technique. Collecting data through observation sheets of learning activities and student learning interest questionnaires. The output of the study showed that there were learning activities in the good category with an average value of 90% and 93% observed by the observer. The application of online learning can be used during the current pandemic, seen from the responses of students in the good category with an average score of 76.67. The level of student interest in learning before the application of online learning was 65.71%, after the application of online learning obtained very good results of 77.08%. N-Gain score obtained 32.51 which is included in the medium category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of online learning can increase students' interest in learning.Keywords: Online, interest in Learning, Google Classroom, Acid-Base Titration

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the activities of students, the completeness of student learning outcomes, and student responses to the 7E learning cycle learning model on the reaction rate material. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The sample in this study was 28 students of class XI MIA-3 at SMAN 5 Banda Aceh. The instruments used in this study were student activity observation sheets, test question sheets, and student response questionnaire sheets. The overall activity of students increase from time to time. The results of observing student activities in the seven stages of the 7E learning cycle model obtained an average of 87.63% of student activity at the elicit stage, 91.75% engage stage, 94.38% explore stage, 83.38% explain stage. , elaborate stage 70.88%, evaluate stage 79.13%, and extend stage 87.13%. The highest activity is at the explore stage. The average percentage of classical student learning outcomes is 75% with a good category. Positive responses from students were obtained by 80.77%. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the application of the 7E learning cycle model can complete the classical learning of students. Overall student activity has increased and the highest activity is in the explore stage and students give good responses to the application of the 7E learning cycle learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the activities and responses of students to the RTE learning model on the concept of molecular geometry and to analyze the completeness of student learning outcomes. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The sample used in this study was class X MIA-2 MAN 6 Aceh Besar for the 2019/2020 school year. Data were collected by observing student activities, learning outcomes tests and questionnaire responses. The results of observing student activities for three meetings 1,2 and 3 respectively were 86%, 89.25% and 95%. The learning outcomes of students in class X MIA-2 MAN 6 Aceh Besar with the application of the RTE learning model on the molecular form material can be categorized as good, with the percentage of students who complete the completeness of 79.2%. 99.3% of students responded positively to the application of the RTE model.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian yang berjudul Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Buletin pada Materi Hukum-hukum Dasar Kimia Kelas X SMA/MA di Banda Aceh bertujuan untuk 1) mengembangkan media buletin; 2) mengetahui tingkat kelayakan media buletin; 3) tanggapan siswa dan guru terhadap media buletin yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (RD) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan desain pengembangan ADDIE yang dilakukan melalui 5 (lima) tahap, yaitu (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, dan (5) evaluation, dalam penelitian ini hanya di gunakan sampai tahap development. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di 3 (tiga) SMTA Kota Banda Aceh yaitu MAN 1 dan 3, dan SMAN 3, sampel yang diambil 5 orang guru kimia di tiga sekolah dan sebanyak 25 siswa masing-masing diambil di kelas tempat guru mengajar. Kelayakan media buletin dinilai oleh 2 orang validator yaitu dosen prodi pendidikan kimia dan 1 ahli buletin. Hasil validasi pengembangan media buletin diperoleh persentase rata-rata 93,8% oleh dosen prodi kimia dan 90% oleh ahli buletin dengan kriteri sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Persentase tanggapan siswa dan guru terhadap media buletin yang dikembangkan masing-masing sebesar 84,4 dan 97,78%  dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang didapat bahwa media buletin yang telah dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran materi hukum-hukum dasar kimia.Keywords: Media, Buletin, hukum dasar kimia. Abstract. A study has been conducted entitle ‘The Development of Learning Bulletin Media in fundamental laws material of Chemistry Class X SMA / MA in Banda Aceh. The purpose of this study was to develop bulletin media in fundamental laws material of Chemistry, to recognize the feasibility of bulletin media, to determine the responses of students and teachers toward bulletin media. This study was the development research  (R D) with a qualitative approach. This study design used ADDIE development carried out through five steps (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation, in this study only used until the development stage. The data collection was done in three schools of SMA in Banda Aceh: MAN 1 dan 3, and SMAN 3`, were five chemistry’s teachers. Each teacher took 5 students of class XI as a sample. Feasibility bulletins media rated by 2 valuators, there were professor of chemistry of education department and another one was newsletter expert. The results of validation development media obtained an average percentage of 93.8% by chemistry lecturers department and 90% obtained by a bulletin expert with a very good criterion as a media learning process. Then percentage of students’ and teachers’ responses toward bulletin media which each was developed 84.4% and 97.78% was very good criterion. The results shown that bulletins media were developed and very feasible to use in learning process of fundamental laws theory of chemistry.Keywords: Media, Newsletters, basic chemical laws
