Abstract

The concept applied to the design of stool furniture this time carries the theme that will be used, namely Scandinavian. A product that will be designed through trend analysis, through the uniqueness of the design owned. The uniqueness is presented through a combination of foreign and traditional cultures, being a style inspiration for designers and becoming the first choice product for the community in its needs. Qualitative methods with an event approach that is carried out make a direct source for designers to conduct a renewable data research so as to gain knowledge about the style and concept of a broader design to be applied to a design design this time. Market segmentation or User is intended is an urban society that has a standardization of modern living, as well as the characteristics of users who have uniqueness in a work such as creative workers oriented in the field of art or creative. This product is intended for families who have a modern lifestyle, with the implementation of modern product styles making this design has a concept of styling organic design that is combined with the application of batak toba motifs as the preservation of cultural products to preserve cultural knowledge to make their own scandinavian-style products

Abstract

Ulos merupakan ciri khas hasil kebudayaan dari Sumatra utara. Salah satunya ulos Ragi Hotang yang dipakai pada saat pernikahan adat Batak Toba, perkembangan penerapan motif pun kian berkembang terhadap berbagai elemen media produk seperti pada aplikasi interior bahkan berkembang juga pada media fashion. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah penerapan motif ulos Ragi Hotang Batak Toba pada dekorasi panel dan juga sebagai sarana pelestarian kebudayaan Ulos Batak Toba yang menampilkan kesan etnik citra budaya sebagai kekuatan simbolik dan makna yang terkandung dari Ulos tersebut. Metode kualitatif yang digunakan dalam instrument penelitian ini dengan pendekatan secara fenomelogis dan ilmu  perancangan produk, dengan  teknik stilasi transformasi penyederhanaan bentuk, yang diawali proses brainstorming ideas, Developing, sampai proses mockup sample model sebagi realisasi produk yang dihasilkan dalan penerapan motif Ulos Ragi Hotang Batak Toba kedalam media dekoratif. Kata kunci: Penerapan motif, Motif ulos Ragi Hotang, Batak Toba, Dekoratif. ABSTRACTUlos is a hallmark of cultural results from northern Sumatra. One of them is the Ragi Hotang ulos that was used during the Batak Toba traditional wedding, the development of the application of motives is increasingly developing towards various media elements of products such as in interior applications and even developing in fashion media. The purpose of this study is the application of ulang Ragi Hotang Batak Toba motif on panel decoration and also as a means of preserving the Toba Batak Ulos culture that displays the ethnic impression of cultural image as the symbolic power and meaning contained in Ulos. The qualitative method used in this research instrument is a phenomelogical approach and product design science, with the stylization of simplification form transformation technique, which begins with the brainstorming ideas, developing, until the sample model mockup process is the realization of products produced in the application of Ulos Ragi Hotang Batak Toba motif into decorative media. Keywords: Application of Motif,  Ulos Ragi Hotang , Batak Toba, Decorative Media.

Abstract

Pada umumnya semua sarana pendukung media pembelajaran diciptakan untuk memberikan kemajuan dan kemudahan, hal itu dibuktikan dengan adanya inovasi dibidang pendidikan dasar desain khususnya. Menerapkan unsur tehnik traditional sketch media pensil dan kertas adalah sesuatu yang mendasar dan harus dikuasai oleh setiap siswa, hal ini sangat penting dikarenakan bersifat fundamental/mendasar yang diterima oleh setiap siswa. Dalam pelaksanaannya, pembelajaran keilmuan dasar desain sangat berkembang dan menyesuaikan dengan kemajuan teknologi digital. Desain menjadi sangat aplikatif ketika berdampingan dengan teknologi, menciptakan suatu bentuk atau rancangan yang sangat luas dan tidak terbatas. Hal ini sangat penting karna untuk menjawab kebutuhan akan kemajuan jaman yang semakin canggih dan praktis, di era industri 4.0 ini dituntut untuk terus ber inovasi didalam media pendidikan dasar pembelajaran kedalam media digital yang lebih praktis dan efisien didukung oleh aplikasi dan hardware untuk menjawab kebutuhan industri dan menghasilkan lulusan yang mampu bersaing di dalam industri dan global. Pentingnya penerapan IPTEK kedalam pendidikan dasar desain untuk terus dikembangkan melalui penerapan metode dan teknik yang disesuaikan berdasarkan kebutuhan Pendidikan Dasar Desain

Abstract

The transformation of national universities into global-minded institutions should necessitate a design concept that integrates the design of learning facilities and learning outcomes. This research aims to seek design concepts that support research and learning in a hybrid learning environment. The research method is carried out from practice-based research as a way of research through design to build a conception of future-oriented learning classroom design. As a result, this research output is outlined in the conceptualization of integrated classroom design whose learning is collaborative by applying studio-based classroom design on the campus of Esa Unggul University, Citra Raya branch, Tangerang.
