Abstract

The movement needs that always increases will cause some problems, especially people are heading to the same destination of the certain area at the same time. To reduce the problems caused by the increase in the number of movements, it is necessary to analyze the future distribution of aircraft passenger movements. The research model is the distribution of aircraft passenger movements in Java Island using the Furness model. In this case, it is found that the Furness model is the best method because have a standard deviation and mean absolute percentage error to the smallest. It could be concluded that the Furness model is more accurate when compared to the Gravity Model (DGCR) with tanner obstacle function in estimating the distribution of movements in 2025 in Java Island

Abstract

Processing of waste biochar into briquettes as a substitute for biogas to support the roasting process of Arabica coffee processing is an alternative energy innovation as a substitute for conventional charcoal derived from wood and biogas from LPG as well as to support energy security. Briquette is a material that is strongly influenced by the nature and type of the materials that make it up. This study aims to determine the effect of the composition of briquettes with a mixture of coffee husk waste and sawdust on the calorific value, moisture content, ash content, and density test. The method used is experimental. In composition III the density value is the highest because the amount of sawdust is the most. because with the treatment of the compressive force manually, the charcoal particles will experience compression in accordance with the given compressive force. The results of the research on composition I yielded a calorific value of 6052 cal/gr, composition II yielded a calorific value of 6122 cal/gr and composition III yielded a calorific value of 6333 cal/gr. The results of the ash content test of SNI 01-6235-2000 regarding charcoal briquettes, the permissible ash content does not exceed the value of 8%. The ash content produced in composition III is according to the specified standard

Abstract

This community service activity is a collaboration between academics and MSME entrepreneurs. The purpose of the activity is for MSME entrepreneurs, alumni of the Adisutjipto Aerospace Technology Institute to gain knowledge about ethics and codes of conduct, especially in terms of doing business. Besides discussing ethics and code of ethics, it also discusses standard operating procedures in managing business. It is hoped that the discussion of standard operating procedures can improve the quality of MSME products produced and can increase sales. The next discussion is about marketing strategies either through opening outlets/stores or by using social media and the internet. This community service activity uses a webinar because of the world situation due to the covid 19 health disaster. To find out the response of the webinar participants at the end of the activity, questions are asked with a questionnaire, from the results of the questionnaire with the question whether the activity is interesting there are 92% of participants answering interesting activities, 4% not interesting, 2% answered normal and 2% did not answer. participants in community service activities were also given questions about the answers of the speakers to questions from 94% of participants answered that the speakers gave good answers and 6% of participants answered that the speakers did not give good answers. In addition, a SWOT analysis was also carried out on partners in community service activities to obtain an overview of partners' strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges.

Abstract

Data timbulan sampah TPST Piyungan tahun 2020 menunjukkan Pandemi COVID- 19 turut membawa dampak terhadap perubahan timbulan sampah. Timbulan sampah pada bulan Maret 2020 naik sebesar 12% dibanding bulan Februari 2020. Sedangkan bulan April turun sebesar 36% dibanding bulan Maret 2020, mengalami penurunan sebesar 10% pada bulan Mei 2020. Timbulan sampah kembali fluktuasi pada bulan Juni-Oktober 2020, namun tidak kembali mencapai level yang sama dengan volume timbulan sampah bulan Januari-Maret 2020. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif data timbulan sampah TPST Piyungan periode 2015 - 2019 dan selama pandemi COVID-19 tahun 2020 disajikan dan dideskripsikan untuk memberikan gambaran analisis dampak pandemi COVID-19 terhadap timbulan sampah TPST Piyungan dan dibuat tabulasi dan grafik.. Penelitian menggunakan data dari Pos Jembatan Timbang UPT TPST Piyungan. Pada tahun 2015 rata-rata timbulan sampah TPST Piyungan 439,88 ton/hari. Jumlah tersebut meningkat 14% pada tahun 2016 menjadi 502,7 ton/hari dan meningkat 9% pada tahun 2017 menjadi 551,28 ton/hari. Rata-rata pertumbuhan timbulan sampah tahun 2015-2017 adalah 12%, lebih tinggi dibanding prediksi Sudibyo (2017) yang menyatakan bahwa timbulan sampah TPST Piyungan mencapai 8% per tahun.

Abstract

TPST Piyungan telah beroperasi sejak tahun 1995 dan mengalami penurunan kapasitas penampungan secara signifikan seiring pertumbuhan sampah di Kabupaten Bantul, Kabupaten Sleman dan Kota Yogyakarta. Hingga saat ini belum ditemukan alternatif penanganan sampah untuk menggantikan TPST Piyungan. TPST Piyungan juga mengalami masalah lain seperti pencemaran udara, kontaminasi air tanah oleh air lindi, dan kondisi sanitasi yang rendah. Namun demikian TPST Piyungan menjadi sumber mata pencaharian ratusan pemulung yang bekerja memulung sampah di zona aktif TPST Piyungan. Kajian ini bermaksud mengkaji pendapatan ekonomi pemulung TPST Piyungan. Sampel responden dipilih sebanyak 35 orang pemulung dengan menggunakan kriteria inklusi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan kueisioner. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 4 komponen terbesar sampah yang dikumpulkan oleh pemulung TPST Piyungan adalah plastik, kertas, botol kaca dan logam. Penghasilan dari penjualan sampah tersebut setiap bulan dapat mencapai Rp 2.028.000/orang. Keberadaan pemulung TPST Piyungan harus dijadikan salah satu pertimbangan bagi pemerintah dalam merumuskan alternatif penanganan sampah di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

Alat destilasi dapat membantu mengatasi kelangkaan air tawar di daerah pesisir. Dengan sistem penyulingan, air laut dapat dijadikan air tawar yaitu dengan memisahkan antara air dengan garam dengan cara meningkatkan temperatur air laut hingga menguap dan menangkap uap airnya sehingga menghasilkan air yang bersih dan tawar. Pemanfaatan lensa loop pada alat destilasi bertujuan untuk membantu menaikkan temperatur air pada kolektor sehingga mampu meningkatkan hasil air kondensat dan meningkatkan efisiensi alat destilasi. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Alat penyulingan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini memiliki luas kolektor sebesar 0,5391 m2 dan menggunakan plat stainlees steel. Penelitian dimulai dari pukul 10.00 WIB hingga pukul 15.30 WIB. Pengambilan data dilakukan 30 menit sekali. Dalam satu hari air laut yang disuling sebanyak 3000 ml menghasilkan air destilat 1430 ml dan memiliki efisiensi sebesar 21,9%.

Abstract

This study aims to design and conduct an experimental study of axle tilt angles variation on the performance of the Archimedes screw turbine (AST). The AST was constructed based on Rorres (2000) [3] formulation to achieve the optimum design of AST. This design was obtained with the followings parameters: 1.7m turbine axle length, 0.069m and 0.128m of internal and external turbine radius, 0.260m pitch length, 6.5 pitches number, 59° and 72° of external and internal blade angel, and 2 number of blades. The screw turbine performance was experimentally carried out by varying the angle of the turbine axle in the range of 25°, 30°, 35°, 40°, and 45°. The test was utilized the natural river flow with an average discharge of 0.011 m3/s. The result was yielded that the optimum angle of the turbine was at a turbine tilt axle of 35° while the rotational speed was 265.5 rpm, whereby the turbine generated 48.81W power and 4.09Nm of torque. This study is hopefully beneficial for the turbine design reference as well as its experimental evaluation.

Abstract

Population growth and technology development are increasing rapidly. These cause the use of energy on the earth is increasing. One effort to obtain energy sources is to utilize solar energy using solar water heater. This research was expected to help the society to save energy derived from fossils. A testing was conducted by designing solar water heater with collector size of 60 cm x 50 cm using black painted aluminum-coated styrofoam insulator and the storage tank made of stainless steel with volume of 40 liter using black painted aluminum-coated styrofoam. In conducting the testing, the data were taken at 09.00 a.m until 04.00 p.m for 5 days. The research was conducted at ITD Adisutjipto. The analysis and discussion showed the solar water heater design and the storage tank used to perform performance the test (efficiency). Within 5 days testing the average of water temperature out (Tout) was 59.75 oC to 76.59 oC with the average rate efficiency of 54.07 % to 54.9 % and the average storage drop rate of 2.97 K / Hr or 17.84 K for 6 hours

Abstract

In this study, the authors conducted a study on the analysis of the effect of oxy-acetylene welding joints on tensile strength and microstructure in the HAZ and weld metal areas on st 37 steel plates. The results of this study indicate that the average value of the highest tensile strength value is at V groove weld with the average strength of the welded joint is 4.796 kgf/mm2. While the lowest tensile stress is on the I groove weld of 4.674 kgf/mm2. Meanwhile, from the microstructure test, it can be seen that in the HAZ area each groove. Microstructure in the HAZ area shows that the double V groove  weld types are fine ferrite, coarse pearlite and martensite. In type V groove  weld the structures formed are ferrite, coarse pearlite and martensite. In type I groove  weld the structures formed are ferrite, grain boundary ferrite and fine pearlite. Whereas in the weld metal area, and the results of the microstructure test of the weld area on the V seam, it shows a dense microstructure arrangement, the arrangement is identical to pearlite (dark color) so that the specimen is harder.

Abstract

Pengolahan limbah biochar menjadi briket untuk dijadikan biogas dalam rangka mendukung proses pemanggangan pengolahan kopi arabika merupakan salah satu inovasi energi alternatif untuk mendukung ketahanan energi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi briket dengan campuran limbah kulit kopi dan debu kayu terhadap nilai kalor, kadar air, kadar abu, dan uji densitas. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental. Pada komposisi II nilai densitasnya paling tinggi karena jumlah serbuk gergaji paling banyak. karena dengan perlakuan gaya tekan manual maka partikel arang akan mengalami kompresi sesuai dengan gaya tekan yang diberikan. Hasil penelitian komposisi I menghasilkan nilai kalor sebesar 5922 kal/gr, komposisi II menghasilkan nilai kalor sebesar 6072 kal/gr. Hasil pengujian kadar abu SNI 01-6235-2000 tentang briket arang, kadar abu yang diperbolehkan tidak melebihi 8%. Kadar abu yang dihasilkan pada komposisi I sesuai dengan standar yang ditentukan.
