Abstract

Obesitas disebabkan karena asupan kalori melebihi dari pengeluaran energi yang mengakibatkan penumpukan lipid di jaringan adipose dengan IMT > 25 kg/m2. Obesitas penyebab kematian terbesar di seluruh dunia akibat terjadinya komplikasi sejumlah penyakit kronis diabetes melitus tipe-2, penyakit kardiovaskular, dan kanker. Tujuan abdimas ini, pemberdayaan asupan rendah kalori dan aktivitas fisik dapat menurunkan obesitas. Metode yang dilakukan adalah identifikasi masalah, mengukur IMT dan pemeriksaan kolesterol dari 30 mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran UPN Veteran Jakarta sebagai mitra. Identifikasi pola makan menggunakan kuesioner Dietary History Methods dan aktivitas fisik. Kemudian diberikan penyuluhan pengetahuan obesitas menggunakan PPT secara online. Hasilnya menunjukan mahasiwa overweight 53 % dan obesitas 47 %. Pola makan tinggi kalori makan nasi 1-3 kali perhari 98 %, kue manis 81 %, minuman manis 76,7 %, gorengan 68 %, daging rendang 50 %), sayuran 30 % dan buah 38 %. Aktivitas fisik termasuk ringan berupa (maen hp 65 %, jalan kaki 20 %, duduk ngerumpi 45 %). Setelah pemberian pengetahuan bagi mahasiswa, dengan porsi makan satu piring berisi 50 % sayur dan buah, serta 50 % sisanya karbohidrat dan protein ditambah aktivitas fisik 30 menit/hari diharapkan dapat menurunkan obesitas (penurunan IMT dan kolesterol darah).

Abstract

Background: Eating behavior is the way a person thinks, is knowledgeable, and has views about food which is expressed in the form of eating. Deviant eating behaviors can be caused by a variety of factors, one of which is the stress condition commonly experienced by final-level students.. Objective: This study aims to determine the factors associated with the eating behavior of final-level students. Methods: The study used cross-sectional analytical studies on 49 respondents with stratified random sampling techniques. Data was collected using a questionnaire conducted online via google-form. The questionnaire that has been made by previous researchers has been tested for validity and reliability.  Results: The results showed that the majority of respondents had female gender (73.5%), good eating behavior (69.4%), positive body image perception (61.2%), moderate stress level (51%), and positive emotional eating (51%). Based on bivariate analysis there was a relationship between perception of body image and eating behavior (p = 0.029). Conclusion: Therefore, students are advised to build good confidence in order to create a positive perception of body image, so that they can have good eating behaviors with high levels of productivity. Keywords: eating behavior; gender; body image perception; stress; emotional eating; final year student.

Abstract

Infectious disease caused by candida is called Candidiasis and the species that mostly causes candidiasis is Candida albicans. Some fungal drugs have side effects that evoke discomfort, such as gastrointestinal disorde. Black cumin seed is traditional medicine that contains thymoquinoneas tha main indigredient that acts as an antifungal. This study was designed to study the antifungal inhibition activity of black cumin seed (N. sativa Linn) extract againts Candida albicans growth. This study used an experimental laboratory with the in vitro diffusion method in Sabouraund dextrose agar in order to observe and measure growth inhibition. Black cumin seed extract was obtained from Research Institute for Medicinal an Aromatic Plants (BALITRO) Bogor. The study showed that growth inhibition by the following concentration 100, 80, 60, 40, 20 and 10% with the mean of inhibition activity were 9.00; 4.83; 2.87; 2.49 and 0.19 mm. the data were analyzed by using alternative test and showed the probability score value of p < 0.05. It was concluded that black cumin seed extract had inhibition activity againts Candida albicans growth in vitro.
