Abstract

Palm oil is one of the crops that produce crude palm oil (CPO). Losses or loss of production is generally a natural thing in the palm oil processing process. Oil losses are the loss of the amount of oil that should be obtained from the results of a process but the oil cannot be obtained or is lost. The loss rate for palm oil is the amount of oil that is not taken up in the processing. The oil that is not taken is partly wasted into the boiler as fuel (oil from fiber). Oil losses are the loss of the amount of oil that should be obtained from the results of a process but the oil cannot be obtained or is lost. In testing oil losses using the socket extraction method. Soxlet extraction is a continuous extraction technique using a soxhlet, with the principle of distillation of solvent from the flask to the cooler, then dripping wet and immersing the sample located in the center of the soxlet apparatus.

Abstract

Activated carbon has been widely used in everyday life. One of them is in water purification. Materials for making activated carbon have been made and researched. Coal is one of the materials that can be processed into activated carbon. The availability of coal in Indonesia is quite abundant and has the potential to be used as activated carbon. The coal used is lignite. This coal is categorized as light coal where its use is only used as fuel in industry. It is hoped that the activated carbon from this coal will become an alternative source of coal use in Indonesia. Activated carbon from coal uses a variable concentration of 0.5 M, 1 M, 1.5 M, 2 M, 2.5 M, 3 M with HCL activator solution. It is hoped that the results of this study are in accordance with the quality standard of SNI 06-3730-1995.

Abstract

Abstract

PT Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Sukowati, which is a company engaged in the upstream sector of oil and gas. One of the processing units in the Sukowati Central Processing Area is the production water treatment unit. This production water is water that is included in the crude oil separation process. The produced water must go through water vapour separation before being stored in the storage tank to prevent overpressure. This research uses the ratio analysis method of the area of water vapour separation from the produced water. Furthermore, an evaluation of the water-degassing boot and troubleshooting related to corrosion and the presence of a flame arrester as a safety device was conducted. The water-degassing boot is a special column designed to separate associated gases from liquid crude oil. It is equipped with a mist eliminator to ensure that no water vapour is included. The performance evaluation of the tool is done by calculating the separation area ratio (Rm) value. The calculation results show that the device has an Rm value of 3.9801, which indicates good separation performance. Based on the results of calculations and observations, it can be concluded that the water-degassing boot at PT Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Sukowati has good performance in separating water vapour from produced water before it is stored in the tank.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of IoT (Internet of Things) technology, real-time analytics, and digital asset management on energy efficiency and productivity in the Indonesian manufacturing industry. A quantitative approach, employing structural equation modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) 3 software, is utilized to analyze survey data collected from manufacturing firms across different sectors and sizes in Indonesia. The results reveal significant positive relationships between digital technologies (IoT, real-time analytics, digital asset management) and energy efficiency/productivity. Specifically, Digital Asset Management, IoT Technology, and Real-Time Analytics are found to have statistically significant effects on enhancing energy efficiency and productivity levels in Indonesian manufacturing operations. These findings underscore the transformative potential of digital technologies in driving operational performance and sustainability in the manufacturing sector. Policymakers, industry stakeholders, and practitioners can leverage these insights to inform strategic decision-making and investments in digital infrastructure, workforce development, and regulatory frameworks to foster innovation and competitiveness in the Indonesian manufacturing landscape.
