ABSTRACTThe development of floating net aquaculture in Jatiluhur reservoir that reach up 21000 to 26 717 plot have been resulted in eutrophication that interfere of water treatmen raw water, tourism and water sports, so the reduction and redeployment zones floating net in the reservoir needs to be done. The purpose of this study looking for zone of floating net aquaculture in Jatiluhur reservoir. The zone is obtained from the optimization by maximizing the density plots floating net per segment in alternate zones with constraints status trophic allowed in the area of water treatment raw water in take, tourism and water sports in the downstream Jatiluhur reservoir through simulation of the chlorophyll-a concentration distribution from the 2 -dimensional layered eutrophication model for scenarios increase every 10 plots floating net in segments of alternative zones 1, 2, 3 in the downstream reservoirs and alternate zone 4 in the middle of the reservoir. The results of the eutrophication 2-dimensional layered model calculation been obtained segment length and width of 100 m. The optimization results show, the carriying capacity of water due to zoning plots Jatiluhur reservoir floating net per segment in the middle of the reservoir is greater than the downstream of the reservoir, and to get water Jatiluhur reservoir in oligotrophic status that does not interfere with other uses of the reservoir water, and to get water Jatiluhur reservoir in oligotrophic status that does not interfere with other uses of the reservoir water, the highest density of a plot floating net per segment is the alternative zone 4 of 10 plot floating net per segment or 4,420 plot floating net. For the the aquaculture fish in floating net in the area are currently recommended to be moved to alternative zone 4 which is located in the central part Jatiluhur reservoir.Keywords: floating net plot zone, Jatiluhur reservoir, optimalitation, 2-dimensional layered eutrophication

ABSTRACTStudy on The Relationship Between Phytoplankton and Current Velocities due to Operationof Jatiluhur Reservoir. High abundance of phytoplankton may create oxygen depletionwithin water column, in which may also lead as a threat to the fisheries activities of floatingcage in the Jatiluhur reservoir. In addition, phytoplankton may also clog the filter within watertreatment plant that is currently using the water from Jatiluhur reservoir. The research objectivewas investigate effects of changing water current velocity to the abundance of phytoplanktonin the Jatiluhur reservoir. Phytoplankton, measured as chlorophyll-a, were sampled at 10 differentsampling points of 0, 4, 8 and 10 m depth. While current water velocities were calculated usingtwo-dimensional multilayer equation. The equation will calculate x and y axis current velocitieswithin different depth of the reservoir. Result shows that in the area in which the currentvelocities higher than 15 cm/s less phytoplankton would be found. These velocities found ifthe operation of water discharge from reservoir was more than 70 m3/s. ABSTRACTCharacterisation of Organic Carbon of Up Stream Citarum River Water from Domestic andIndustrial Waste Effluent. The local government of Citarum upstream area has conducted theriver cleaning program to increase Disolved Oxygen since 1991 until now. The program hasimpacted to installments of to wastewater treatment for 80% industrials in the Upper Citarumdrainage area declining the load of BOD5 wastewater. However most of waste water comingfrom Banung population have been treated in the collective wastewater treatment (IPAL) ofBojongsoang. Nevertheless, the low concentration of Dissolved oxygen which is under theminimum stream standard concentration, 3mg/l still becomes a problem until now. Anineffectiveness of improvement of the DO is caused by the treatment effluent BOD5 load fromdomestic and industrial wastewater and low awareness industrial wastewater aboutcharacteristics of river water quality . This research aimed to characterize the BOD oxidationrate and BOD5 regime of each river reach base on wastewater domestic or industrial characteristic.The result of this research can then be applied to build the priority of the load reduction ofBOD5 wastewater domestic or industrial in each reach of that river. The characteristic ofoxidation rate have investigated at influent point and water body of Upper Citarum River bymultivariate cluster observation. The oxidation rate was calculated by least-square methodfrom BOD data. The BOD observation was measured by BOD meter everyday for 5 days. Theresult shows that Curugjompong at 0 to 21st km and 36th km to Majalaya bridge ischaracterizedby an industrial sewage, while the upper Citarum at 21 to 36 Km is characterizedby an domesticsewage.Key words: Characteristic, oxydation rate, Citarum river, organic carbon.

Accumulation of sediment in Lake Tempe deriving from Bila, Sidenreng, and Batu-batu Rivers in the region of Walannae River will be dredged during barrage operation, but until now the location of sediment accumulation in the lake is still unknown. This study developed a model of 2-dimensional layered spatial distribution of suspended materials in Lake Tempe to determine the extent of sedimentation in the lake from suspended material inputs, so the location of sediment dredging can be determined appropriately. Model was calibrated using the observation data of TSS concentrations at 15 points in Lake Tempe at water level of 5 m which took place in March 2014. The result showed that the model was in accordance with the observed data. Based on the simulation of range setting of effluent discharge, it is known that if the range setting of effluent discharge is narrowed, the deposition of suspended loads in the lake becomes higher, so the TSS that comes out of the lake will be less. Based on the model simulation and simulation of suspended load reduction of the influent for each zone, the accumulation of sediment in Lake Tempe happens around the deepest area between Zone I and Zone III, and the factor affecting the distribution of TSS in the lake is the suspended loads of the influent from Bila River and the effluent discharge.

Daerah tangkapan (DAS) Citarum hulu mempunyai luas sekitar 177.100 ha, meli-puti kota Bandung dan kabupaten Bandung yang terletak di danau tua. Sungai Ci-tarum selain kegunaannya sebagai buangan limbah pabrik dan penduduk disekitar sungai, juga berfungsi sebagai penggerak listrik dan perikanan (jarring apung) di waduk Saguling dihilinya. Oleh karena kompleksnya pemanfaatan sungai ini, maka diperlukan suatu pendekatan pengelolaan di DAS Citarum tersebut. Penelitian ini tujuannya adalah untuk memperbaiki kualitas sungai Citarum dengan pendekatan simulasi model, yaitu simulasi-simulasi pengelolaan DAS Citarum. Penetapan model dengan tiga sub-model yaitu, hidrograf aliran, debit beban (COD, BOD, T-N, T-P, and NH3), dan polutegraf aliran dengan model tangki. Model dikalibrasi dari debit serta kualitas air harian sungai Citarum yang terukur di stasion Nanjung .Dari model kelihatan hidrograf dan polutograf aliran, cendrung sama antara model den-gan pengukuran, sehingga model layak untuk pendugaan pemasukan beban yang kualitas sungai masih baik pada debit minumum. Dari hasil simulasi agar kualitas-nya tetap terjaga, maka beban masukan dari industri terutama tekstil dan pemuki-man sebaiknya dikurangi (treatment) sekitar 85 % untuk COD, BOD dan T-P dan 45 % untuk NH3 dan T-N untuk pemukiman pada kejadian debit minumum

Badan air Waduk Cirata yang berada di Kabupaten Cianjur, Bandung, dan Purwakarta Provinsi Jawa Barat, telah terjadi eutrofikasi karena limbah budidaya ikan jaring apung. Model eutrofikasi 2-dimensi berlapis telah dikembangkan untuk mempelajari sejauh mana sebaran petak karamba jaring apung berpengaruh pada eutrofikasi, dan optimasi jumlah petak karamba jaring apung tiap kabupaten sesuai dengan status trofik yang diinginkan di badan air Waduk Cirata. Kalibrasi dan validasi model menggunakan data 4 titik observasi konsentrasi khlorofil-a pada tiga variasi elevasi muka air waduk menunjukkan hasil perhitungan sesuai dengan observasi. Simulasi model menunjukkan, pola sebaran jumlah petak karamba jaring apung per segmen telah meyebabkan 20 30% luas area Waduk Cirata berstatus eutrofik. Optimasi diperoleh alternatif 1: jika diinginkan persentase luas oligotrofik semua lapisan waduk Cirata 100%, maka jumlah petak karamba jaring apung tiap segmen dari sebaran petak karamba jaring apung yang ada saat ini dikurangi 80%, sehingga alokasi jumlah karamba jaring apung Kabupaten Cianjur, Bandung dan Purwakarta adalah 8.710 petak, 5.756 petak dan 534 petak; dan alternatif 2: jika diinginkan persentase luas eutrofik semua lapisan air Waduk Cirata 0%, maka jumlah karamba jaring apung tiap segmen dari sebaran petak karamba jaring apung saat ini dikurangi 30%, sehingga alokasi jumlah karamba jaring apung Kabupaten Cianjur, Bandung dan Purwakarta adalah 29.745 petak, 19.381 petak dan 1.874 petak
