Abstract

Workers spent more than two-thirds of their working hours sitting behind their desk. Almost all of them never put attention to good sitting position and caused health problems for themselves such as increasing the risk of hemorrhoids, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, joints damage, muscles and posture. The workers are not aware into account how long they had been sitting. Thus, one way to avoid health problems caused by long-term sitting is using a device which monitors body temperature, heart and muscle. In this study, the prototype is designed and implemented to monitor how long the worker had sit in their chair and the effect to their body. This system detected the temperature on the chair using temperature sensor, sensor ECG to heart detection placed on the finger and the sensor EMG to detect muscle is placed on the hand muscles. The information from the sensors are sent and saved to the database server and displayed through the website. The test results indicate that body weight and gender affect the speed of rise of body temperature which is measured on the seat cushions. Functional testing using the web interface successfully performed in displaying the results to the web interface sensor readings in real time and displays the results of the previous sensor readings.

Abstract

This research is designed as solution to maximize the automation service to premature baby in smart health concept. The aim of this research built the monitoring system to show the condition of premature baby weight and the incubator temperature using telegram messenger. The incubator in this research using grashof method and some hardware consist of DHT and load cell sensor, Ethernet shield and microcontroller arduino uno. The application in this research applied the Bot fiture from telegram messenger to response message and question. There are two service in the application, first baby weight service and incubator temperature services. Besides these services, the application also have notification service that inform the baby weight under 2,2 kg and the temperature. The experiment result of load cell circuit show error of baby weight measurement is 2,325 % and the bot testing using three commands and notification show the satisfied result.

Abstract

Old age is a continuous process in the dimension of time and is the final phase of a person's development. The aging process that occurs in the elderly will cause several health problems in the elderly. These emerging health problems are influenced by a decline in several aspects such as the physical, psychosocial and intellectual capacity of the elderly which are closely related to changes in cognitive function in the elderly. The research was conducted at the Ramah Lansia built by Rumah Zakat, Rappokalling District, Makassar, taking 50 elderly subjects who were recorded as elderly people. Ramah Aman Program includes counseling, cadre training, elderly posyandu, entrepreneurship education and elderly exercise. Judging from this program, the elderly assisted by Rumah Zakat Makassar only receive physical treatment but not the mental health of the elderly, even though we all know that physical health and mental health must be maintained considering that their age is very vulnerable to various kinds of diseases. The research uses a phenomenological approach to directly examine the in-depth experiences of the research subjects. There are various additional programs created as a form of community service that can help the elderly improve their mental health, providing a positive impact in improving the physical and mental health of the Elderly Cadres assisted by Rumah Zakat Makassar.

Abstract

In this study, we propose a portable tool to monitor and monitor patients at risk of Alzheimer's. The aim of this research was to design and make a useful tool to determine the position and condition of Alzheimer's sufferers. The research stages consisted of designing hardware, software and testing the whole tool. The patient's condition find out by an accelerometer sensor was used which read the values of the x, y, and z axes to determine the condition of the patient normal or falling. This tool also has a panic button which is used by the patient if he does not know his position and forget the way to go home, and SMS notification will be sent to the colleague when this button is pressed. The results of the test show the device can send an SMS notification of the patient's position when the supervisor sends an SMS "GPS ON," and the navigation module can determine the location of the position. The distance between the reading position of the GPS module to the test point on average was 2.39 meters. Generally speaking, the tool can be working properly.

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease and has a fairly high mortality rate and affects a person's quality of life and productivity. It is estimated that by 2025 there will be 1.5 billion people affected by hypertension, and it is estimated that every year 10.44 million people die from hypertension and its complications. The purpose of this study was to describe the behavior of hypertension sufferers in diet management at the Singkarak Health Center, Solok Regency, in 2023. The design in this research is descriptive. The population in this study were all hypertensive patients diagnosed with hypertension at the Singkarak Health Center, Solok Regency, aged 18 to 59 years. The sampling technique used the Simple Random Sampling technique with a total sample of 68 samples. Data was collected from May 2 to May 12 2023 by means of interviews and the tool used was a questionnaire. Data were processed manually and then analyzed univariately using descriptive statistics. The results of this study indicate that most (61.8%) of respondents included good knowledge, most (67.6%) of respondents put a positive position, and almost all (86.8%) of respondents included their actions in diet management. It is hoped that the Singkarak Health Center can increase counseling activities and provide information for hypertension sufferers who have not been exposed to health information.

Abstract

Teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) telah memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam berbagai sektor, termasuk pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan alat penyiraman tanaman otomatis berbasis IoT di Balai Penyuluhan Pertanian (BPP) Kecamatan Sijunjung. Sistem ini menggunakan ESP32 sebagai mikrokontroler dan aplikasi Blynk pada smartphone untuk mengontrol pompa air secara jarak jauh, serta mengatur agar pompa menyala setiap 8 jam selama 5 menit secara otomatis. Hasil penerapan menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini efektif dalam mengurangi ketergantungan pada tenaga kerja manual, meningkatkan efisiensi penyiraman, dan memastikan tanaman mendapat air pada waktu yang tepat. Penggunaan sistem ini terbukti dapat meningkatkan keberhasilan dalam pembibitan, terutama di wilayah dengan topografi yang menantang seperti Sijunjung. Ke depannya, pengembangan lebih lanjut dengan integrasi sensor kelembaban tanah diharapkan dapat membuat sistem lebih cerdas dan efisien.

Abstract

Energi surya merupakan salah satu sumber energi terbarukan yang berpotensi besar, namun intensitas cahaya yang diterima panel fotovoltaik dipengaruhi oleh perubahan posisi matahari sepanjang hari. Untuk mengoptimalkan penyerapan energi, penelitian ini merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem solar tracker dual axis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dengan metode Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) Mamdani. Sistem ini menggunakan empat sensor LDR sebagai pendeteksi arah cahaya, sensor BH1750 untuk mengukur intensitas cahaya, serta sensor INA219 untuk memantau tegangan, arus, dan daya keluaran panel surya. Mikrokontroler ESP32 berfungsi sebagai pusat kendali yang memproses data dari seluruh sensor dan menggerakkan motor DC melalui driver BTS7960 agar panel selalu menghadap ke arah datangnya cahaya matahari. Data pengukuran ditransmisikan melalui protokol MQTT dan divisualisasikan pada Node-RED Dashboard, sehingga sistem dapat dipantau secara real-time maupun jarak jauh secara praktis. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa solar tracker dual axis dengan kontrol fuzzy Mamdani mampu mengikuti pergerakan matahari secara efektif. Hal ini dibuktikan pada pengukuran terbaik tanggal 17 Agustus pukul 09.00 dengan tegangan 18,42 V, arus 2,71 A, daya 49,918 W, serta intensitas cahaya 164.000 lux dengan posisi tracker pada sudut elevasi 45° dan azimuth 76°. Integrasi IoT dan Node-RED mendukung pemantauan yang efisien, sehingga sistem ini berpotensi meningkatkan kinerja Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) di wilayah tropis seperti Indonesia
